rapidheron12, you have it backwards. The GTX 560 consumes barely any more power than the 6950.
Essentially, the difference is negligible.

You can certainly pair cards from the same series, such as a Radeon 6850 and a Radeon 6870.

I don't bother turning mine off; I've actually had it since last summer. I haven't even replaced the battery once. To be fair, I don't use it much anymore, but they claim it lasts about eight months.

I am sourcing a graphics card for a friend. I offered him $333.
He exclusively plays Call of Duty 4 and demands a 250 FPS lock.
The monitor is a 22-inch model with a native resolution of 1680x1050😳—I'm not entirely certain of the exact specs.
The power supply is either a Corsair VX 450 or a 550; I cannot be positive.
The system runs an Athlon X2 clocked at 2.1 GHz. Could a Radeon HD 6770 actually hit that 250 FPS target? It seems obvious to me that the CPU would act as a significant bottleneck, wouldn't it?

I was actually looking to pick up two MSI Twin Frozr 3 GTX 560 units, but they are nowhere to be found. I’ve checked other manufacturers like ASUS, but the market is completely dry.😢
