Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
ironwolf52 said:didn't have any time, just ran to the drugstore and grabbed one of those overpriced Spirulina shakes... basically like a Herbalife shake!
Sounds tasty 🙏 + you're probably full for like 5 hours after 😁
But there's barely any vitamins or minerals in it, so I'm worried about not being able to eat anything else afterward

How much is a pack? What's the damage?

I’d say mixing in some honey and royal jelly is better

but honestly, the quality of the honey matters... wild forest honey is the way to go

I don't really get it
they actually deliver straight to the post office?
so you just put your name and address and they send it to the post office in a small town in US?
how do you even know when it shows up... do you have to call them?

how many people can cross the border without getting hit by customs fees??

just looking at this shop and I can't believe the price difference is actually this big

what's even going on in that small town in US?

If you're trying to pack on some weight, look into stuff like Mass or whatever...

Drink about two liters of whole milk a day

You gotta hit those high carb numbers too

Morgan Alvarez3 said:I checked out Holy Spirit yesterday, and I guess it seems alright overall. My only real concern is how crowded it gets—especially with all the beginners—while there are only two instructors on hand. I’m just not sure how much individual attention I’d actually get, which feels important if I want to nail the technique and movement properly.

Before committing, I’d love to scout out some boxing gyms, so I’m definitely open to recommendations. I heard about a place over in the Quad area, maybe called Omega? It isn't showing up in my local directory, so I'm honestly not even sure how to track them down...

Check this out... [link]

Isn't the main difference between Kendo and Kenjutsu just that Kendo is the modern approach? Whereas Kenjutsu is more about traditional sword fighting skills...

Beginner question: How do I choose the right sport? in Martial Arts & Combat Sports ·
Scott Garcia10 said:I'm with satter on this. I'm a pretty peaceful guy, and my interest in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu isn't about looking for a fight... it's more about the challenge. It seems like you need serious focus and coordination to pull all those movements together. Like a workout for both the body and the mind.

But I value hearing what everyone else thinks about different martial arts. Like you guys mentioned, it’s hard to just train BJJ in a vacuum without it being part of a broader discipline. I need to pick a path, so any advice helps. Right now, Ninjutsu sounds interesting because it blends everything—strength, strategy, and technique. But I guess I won't really know if it sticks until I actually step on the mat.

Anyway, thanks for the input, everyone.

If you want "peaceful," try Aikido at a local YMCA
you get weapon training right from the start

So why don't you just take up kenjutsu??

I'm not really feeling the vibe downtown...

wiredscout38 said:Hey everyone—quick question. If anyone knows where I can get some solid Jiu Jitsu or MMA training in the city... I thought about Muay Thai too, but honestly, I don't think I'm flexible enough for that kind of stuff.🙂 Basically, I checked out some sessions over at Cikatica and it just didn't hit the mark for me. I also spent a few months training with Leonard over in Dubrava, but the whole vibe felt pretty amateurish... totally unprofessional. Today I headed down to the Kvartric area to try out Dennis Survivor, but they told me their registration isn't even open for another few months. Now that I'm stuck without a plan, I figured I'd ask you guys for advice.🙂 Can someone recommend a club where people actually take things seriously? Ideally somewhere with separate groups—I'm not looking to train in a mixed class with women or kids all mashed together. Thanks.
Oh, and I'm 22, got some money to spend, and would prefer something near the Kvartric/Downtown area if possible. Thanks.

ULTIMATE FIGHT CLUB is looking for people interested in MMA, Muay Thai, and boxing.
Training is held at: Vile Velebita 1 g, Students City, Dubrava, Metro Area.

I've heard nothing but good things about those guys over the years, so now I'm sitting here wondering if they even still exist, or if they just vanished into thin air...
If they're actually still running, does anyone out there happen to have their contact info or know where they're holding sessions these days?

Thanks in advance

Alexander Taylor72 said:I’ve been checking out some instructors for casual hobbyists and catching a bit of sports on TV, so I wanted to throw two quick questions out there:
First off, I'm really interested in striking—you know, kicks and punches. Since I’ve got a pretty lean, light build, I’m looking to steer clear of anything involving heavy grappling, throws, or wrestling, and I’m not really into weapons training either... what kind of disciplines would be the best fit for that vibe? I’m living over in River City, so I'm assuming there should be plenty of options nearby for training...
On the other hand, I've been hearing a lot about Krav Maga. Is that taught like a standard martial arts class—something you'd pay maybe $30 or $40 a month for—or is it more of a specialized seminar style course $1333 like I’ve heard mentioned elsewhere??

Thanks a ton for any insight you guys can give! 🙂

Krav Maga isn't really your thing if you're strictly looking for hand and foot strikes.
