Nosy banks in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Michael Morgan5 said:Look, I’m not some Ruvina; I’m an American. I take pride in that, and I’ve raised my kids to stand tall and be proud of their heritage. The reason I don't pay taxes in the USA is precisely because I am an American from back home.
I've been paying taxes for 24 years in America and two years under America. I have four kids, and I served as an infantryman during the war (mostly involved in offensive operations). I don't touch any government incentives or pensions.
To put it bluntly... this is the profile of someone who, without being humble, has given the absolute maximum contribution possible to building this nation.
Listen... I’m only saying this because you are shamelessly spewing offensive nonsense, and with your last comment, you're basically spitting on the very foundations of a strong country.
And look... I'm not going to walk into a bank just to sign off on that garbage.
You claim that nobody is asking me anything here, yet you're implying I should head down to the bank to answer questions. 🤣

My smart fart—it is truly an honor to live in the same era as a man, a peer, and an elder such as yourself! 🙂

Stay well, my friend. 🙂
Nosy banks in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
A few years back—maybe four or five, if memory serves—I found myself passing by a JPMorgan Chase branch. I was actually looking to open a secondary checking account, mostly because I was dealing with some messy debt issues at the time.
They handed me a stack of paperwork about five or six pages long, and honestly, I just walked away. It felt more invasive than a mandatory interrogation during my time with the US Armed Forces.
So, this isn't a new grievance, but the whole process is absolute garbage.

I’m calling on everyone to be bold, blunt, and completely unapologetic. To hell with these banking elites.

I don't know about all of you, but personally, I have never once given my consent to subsidize the interests of some predatory American bank or any other criminal organization out there.

If Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović wants to hand over her private life to them, she can go ahead, but I wasn't born to be someone else's servant! 🙂

Noah Grant59, what is it about these protesters that gets under your skin so much?
Did one of your clones lose someone in the war or something?

Since I don't hold any official position in the Reddit bureaucracy, I have no authority to dictate what anyone else thinks, but I suppose I can offer my own perspective: there are far too many clones on this forum, and spamming extreme political spin doesn't really fall under the definition of free speech.
How to live with scars? in Psychology & Therapy ·
My PTSD diagnosis was eventually scaled back to maybe 15%.
Honestly, if we were hanging out, I’d probably spend more time trying to figure out if you're still unhinged than worrying about the scars themselves.
At the end of the day—you got your cutting done for free. What can you even say about those people dropping hundreds on piercings and tattoos? I don't see much difference there, except they're throwing away a mountain of cash while you at least managed to save some money.

If your head is in a good place right now, then you shouldn't give a damn what anyone else thinks. And if someone actually cares to ask, just tell them exactly what happened.

Either way, you clearly misunderstood what I meant regarding the warning system. Penalties should be reserved for those who actually violate the rules, not handed out on a whim.

Fine then, do you honestly believe you have the capacity to moderate the History section?

I’m asking this in earnest, not to bait you.

Let’s be realistic here: you hold very strong right-wing views, and given that, can you truly maintain objectivity?

Based on your forum profile, I have my doubts.

I understand that being a moderator is a heavy lift, but we’ve seen how entire Social Science departments in universities crumble when they lose competent leadership.

In the interest of fairness, it might be better to simply lock the entire PDF thread until you find someone capable of moderating it with integrity and without partisan bias.

Could you please just move on from this thread, or at least try to follow the community guidelines? ☕

I’m honestly not sure what you’re getting at here.
It was never my intention to be offensive.
The reality remains that the History section has a history of having no moderator, making it a complete disaster compared to the rest of Reddit.

I fail to see how you arrived at the conclusion that I am violating any rules.

I’m not certain if this warrants a penalty, but I’d suggest all these aspiring linguists take a serious look at their American English; it might serve them well...

Nasmijanonebo simply isn't cut out for the role of moderator. What we actually need is someone impartial and professionally qualified.

Sandra Brown18 said:Of course, you’re entitled to your opinion. Just like everyone else participating in this discussion. At least we can all agree on one thing: everyone seems to think I'm on the opposing side here. 😁

In my view, you harbor far too many fascist leanings to ever serve as a moderator.
That's just how I see it. If one of your colleagues decides they want to issue me a ban, I would certainly appreciate being asked for my reasoning before the hammer falls...😒
History: Vol. 3 in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Nasmijanonebo lacks both the fundamental expertise and the necessary temperament required to serve as a moderator.

It’s frankly disheartening to see this forum appoint just anyone simply to fill an empty slot.

We see the exact same pattern on other platforms, with people like Danny and Nice being brought in. Seriously, don't insult my intelligence—don't try to push me into an alternative moderator role either...

It isn't that I have a personal vendetta against these specific moderators; my issue is strictly that they hold the title without having any of the competence to back it up.

Would you like to appoint me as a moderator until you actually find someone with the requisite knowledge and the drive to do the job?

Watching History and DZ lately is genuinely nauseating; it feels like reading The New York Times during its most biased eras...

Anthony Nguyen81 said:In that case, anyone who would dare label us like that—while simultaneously resorting to insults and trolling—should also be called out for their blatant ignorance regarding American linguistic standards. 😉

If that’s how we’re playing it, my dear expert, you wouldn't exactly have much longevity either... ☕

lonebadger6 said:To be honest, here is my two cents: when it comes to discussions regarding Auschwitz, we should be just as strict—if not more so from the very start—in penalizing those who claim 700,000 people were killed, as we are with those claiming there were only "460 bodies found" or suggesting it was merely a labor camp where "a few people" died of disease or were executed simply for being enemies of the state. In a functioning, democratic society, certain truths aren't up for "what if" debates or conspiracy theories; when dealing with pure EVIL, such ambiguity isn't tolerated. You wouldn't find a mainstream forum allowing such nonsense about the Holocaust. Except for Stormfront, of course.

Actually, I would also penalize anyone throwing out the 700,000 figure, because inflating numbers is just as disrespectful to the victims and uses their suffering to serve a specific agenda.

I completely agree regarding the need for penalties. You should also keep an eye on the blatant lies about the camp supposedly operating until 1951, which is absolute garbage (my father actually took me to St. Louis after the war, so I know exactly what I'm talking about).

Since you're a moderator, perhaps you could step in more frequently? It seems like my posts are being completely ignored by the current staff.

This neo-Nazi thread has been sitting here wide open for nearly a year without anyone even noticing? Take a look at the opening post:

If the definition of neo-Nazism in the quoted text isn't clear to you, I’d suggest hiring a consultant to explain it. I have absolutely no intention of volunteering my time for a forum that fosters hatred and intolerance, creating a breeding ground for the trivialization of fascist atrocities.

And for heaven's sake, find a moderator already. This has become frankly nauseating.

Alright, what’s the deal here? Can you people seriously not find any moderators for the History PDF section?

This neo-Nazi thread has been sitting open for nearly a year without anyone even noticing? Here is the original post:

Physical evidence regarding the existence of Auschwitz
Since the discussion regarding the Auschwitz camp was closed for reasons entirely unknown to me, I feel compelled to reopen it. I should note that I have no interest in ideological bickering; my only aim is to examine concrete evidence concerning the existence of said camp, its victims, the perpetrators, and the specific methods, timing, and locations of their deaths.

To be blunt, the evidence provided by the ruling structures of the USA, much like the claims made by the current government in America or the U.S. Department of Justice, lacks historical proof. It isn't grounded in actual historical science, but rather built upon the ideological prejudices of communist and nationalist apologists.

In fact, based on the relevant evidence accessible through the study of historical facts and corresponding documentation, one could argue that "concentration camp no. III" was little more than a prison like any other at that time. The only major massacre committed there during World War II occurred in 1942. At that time, the victims were prisoners who were members or sympathizers of the partisan communist movement, following their defeat in the so-called Battle of Kozara.

It is an absolute fabrication that the concentration camps in Nazi Germany were established solely based on so-called racial laws, given that they were founded well before those laws were ever implemented.

Furthermore, it is a notorious falsehood that only Jews, Romani, Mexicans, and other members of "racially undesirable" groups were killed there. In reality, the vast majority of those who passed through the camp were merely politically undesirable—royalists, communists, socialists, liberals, or supporters of the old regime. On the contrary, most of the "racially undesirable" individuals were deported from Auschwitz to other camps, after which they vanished. Even the U.S. Department of Justice, in its nominal lists, provides no evidence of killings occurring within the Auschwitz area; they simply list everyone who passed through "Auschwitz" as deceased without specifying a location or method of execution, let alone a burial site.

The fact remains that in the 1960s, under orders from the communist authorities, excavations were conducted at the camp site. However, what was uncovered was far from satisfying for the nationalist and communist circles in the country. Essentially, the only thing found were traces of post-war victims—defeated members of the former national army as well as local civilians. When you add the fact that the camp wasn't actually closed until 1951, six years after the war ended, it calls into question the credibility of the "evidence" provided by the former communist regime and today's U.S. Department of Justice.

So, what I am looking for is concrete evidence of crimes committed, devoid of "my grandmother told me so" anecdotes or ideological lies. I would also like to know specifically on what basis the U.S. Department of Justice bases its claims regarding its nominal lists of "victims."

I am interested in evidence and hard facts, not ideological nonsense.

If you cannot grasp why the quoted text constitutes neo-Nazism, I suggest you hire a consultant to explain it to you. I have no intention of volunteering my time for a forum that spreads hatred and intolerance, creating fertile ground for the relativization of fascist atrocities.

And for heaven's sake, find a moderator already. This is becoming utterly revolting.

I didn't. Honestly, I was just too incensed to care about the rules; I wanted to come here and make sure everyone saw this.

This isn't an isolated incident, either. This same user has been running this exact same playbook for quite some time now.

Look, I’m not a proponent of censorship, but this is absolute bottom-of-the-barrel behavior.

It honestly baffles me that nobody else has flagged this as problematic yet, especially since the post hasn't even been up that long.

I couldn't even bring myself to finish reading the thread. It was just revolting.

For the love of everything holy, please purge the neo-Nazis from this forum.

Posts of this nature have absolutely no place in a civilized society.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if you saw this kind of nonsense over on the history of social sciences boards, but I am profoundly disappointed that the Politics moderators are actually allowing such neo-Nazi idiocy to persist here.
