Does birth control cause depression or mood swings? in Women's Health ·
Oh, absolutely. Every single one of them leaves its mark on me. I deal with everything from a plummeting libido and constant headaches to those bouts of depression that hit right when my period starts.

I honestly can't decide which of these symptoms is the hardest to deal with. And then there's the dilemma: if I decide to switch to a fourth different brand of birth control, who's to say if those will actually be the perfect fit? Perhaps it would be wiser to stick with my current prescription for a few more months just to see if these issues eventually resolve themselves on their own?🤔

Well done, Tara, you absolute legend 🤣

I have to admit, my husband and I were absolutely cracking up at that name. My own little pink

well, this

and the powder is actually called Rosalgin. She remembered 😁

It all seems quite funny to me. Honestly, I wouldn't have been able to manage that on my own because I am just so incredibly clumsy. If a little thing like that doesn't bring you and your partner closer together, then nothing ever will 🤣

I am honestly not quite sure where to begin with this, but I find myself wondering if I am alone in experiencing this particular issue. Is this a normal occurrence, and does it mean I need to consider switching my birth control pills again?

To provide some context, I used Yasmin for several years. For the most part, everything was perfectly fine. My periods were regular and painless, I didn't experience any weight gain—my weight remained remarkably consistent—I didn't notice any significant breast enlargement😁, I didn't suffer from nausea, and I didn't experience mood swings that I could attribute to the medication. The one significant drawback was that my libido completely vanished after about six months of use. I frequently found myself having to take breaks from the pill just to get my sex drive back to a normal level.

Once that became too much to handle, I decided it was time for a change. My doctor prescribed Novynett, but I only managed to stay on them for about three months before the side effects forced me to stop. Specifically, I dealt with intense, daily headaches that were simply unbearable; I would have to reach for painkillers constantly, which wasn't a sustainable solution, nor did it feel right to be in such persistent pain.

Following my doctor's advice, I eventually transitioned over to Claire.

I have been taking Claire for about three months now, and for the most part, things seem to be going well. My cycle is regular, the pain is manageable, I haven't gained weight, I don't feel nauseous, and those debilitating headaches have mostly subsided. However, there is one specific thing I have noticed.

Every single time my period is due—usually a day or two beforehand—I fall into an extremely depressive state. One day I feel perfectly fine, and then the next, I wake up feeling so listless and utterly miserable that I can hardly recognize myself. Today is one of those days. I expect my period to arrive either today or tomorrow. I woke up feeling profoundly sad; everything feels irritating, and I find myself spiraling into thoughts about everything that troubles me, which only exacerbates the feeling. It reaches a point where I just want to stay in bed and stare at the wall. I cannot help but feel that the pills are responsible for this—it must be the hormones and these hormonal cycles.

I do have a personal history of struggling with depression, so I am already fighting my own internal battles, but this specific pattern that has emerged over the last three months—this sudden dip right before my period—has truly caught me off guard. This never happened with any of my previous brands.

Is this a normal reaction? Could this be a sign that these pills aren't the right fit for my body either?

I went through the exact same ordeal; I actually suffered a vaginal tear following intercourse.🙂

It was such a prolonged struggle for me, and I truly understand how much that stinging sensation can hurt.🙂

I eventually consulted my gynecologist, and they recommended a specific medicated douche to aid in the healing process of the tissue. I can't recall the specific brand name, but I remember the packaging was pink and white, and inside were small sachets containing a powder.

The method involves boiling the powder in water first, then letting it cool down until it reaches a lukewarm temperature. You can pick up these types of medicated washes at any local pharmacy; the one I purchased had bright pink packaging and a device shaped somewhat like an accordion🤣 with a long, slender applicator tip at the top.

As for the procedure itself, once you have boiled the solution and let it reach a lukewarm state, you pour it into the device.😁 At that point, you really need a partner to assist you—I certainly couldn't manage it on my own—to gently insert the applicator and slowly squeeze the liquid inside. Of course, everything tends to leak out afterward; you feel this strange sensation of being filled up, and honestly, I found myself laughing uncontrollably because of the odd sounds it makes and the sheer absurdity of lying there on a towel on my bathroom floor.🤣

Ultimately, this treatment was incredibly effective for me, helping both with the physical tearing and the dryness issues I was facing. It is certainly worth looking into if you find yourself in a similar situation.
Siman, thanks so much. It turns out the error was specifically in step six. I really appreciate you pointing out that the cursor needs to be positioned within the header or footer area; I hadn't given that any thought at all, which is clearly why the system wouldn't accept my changes.

In fact, I didn't even need to manually set it to start from the fifth page. The document had already been configured so that the first four pages aren't numbered, effectively starting the sequence on page five.
Walter Jackson48 said:Allow me to offer my own perspective in hopes of assisting:
In step six, you first need to click directly inside the specific area—such as the Header—where you intend for the page number to appear. Once your cursor is active there, you should click the "Link to Previous" icon to clear out the "Same as Previous" setting. From there, you can proceed straight to step seven, which simply involves clicking the very first option in the floating menu labeled "Insert Page Number," and it will correctly display the number 5. After that, you just select Close, and the process is complete. You can completely disregard steps eight and nine.

restlesstiger102, thank you. I suspect the issue lies precisely within this sixth step. I am going to attempt to follow your instructions now, and I am hopeful that this approach will finally resolve the matter.
I managed to pull it off just once, but in every subsequent project I’ve tackled, the results simply haven't matched that initial success. I even went as far as walking my close friends through those exact same steps to see if they could replicate it, yet none of them had any luck either.

I am planning to give it another serious attempt now, and I am sincerely hoping that this time, everything finally falls into place.
I am honestly at a loss as to why I cannot get this to work. I managed to complete the process successfully on this website once before, yet when I attempted to replicate those exact same steps, everything fell apart.

It isn't just me, either; a few others have tried to assist, but we simply cannot get it to function correctly. I am truly stumped because I made sure to follow every single instruction to the letter.

I intend to give it another shot shortly, and this time, I will pay much closer attention to steps six and seven.

- starting page numbering from the third or fourth page in Word 2003>

The logic applies just as much if you want to start on the fifth page (please take a close look at the image provided in step 9)

And I would argue that reading comprehension can work wonders too.😉>

First off, I am well aware of that specific webpage, but the information on it simply does not address my actual question.
Secondly, whenever I have attempted to follow the instructions on that page to adjust the numbering, it has never worked out correctly. This isn't just an issue on my end; others have struggled with it as well, and I find myself unable to pinpoint where the error lies because I am following every single instruction to the letter.

To be perfectly clear, here is exactly what I am trying to achieve:

1. I need the first four pages to have no page numbers at all.
2. The fifth page should begin the numbering, but it needs to display the number 5 rather than starting over at 1.
I am starting this thread because I am currently engaged in a personal crusade against page numbering

To be specific, I am working with Word 2003, and my objective is to have the fifth page of my document labeled as page number 5.

Essentially, I need the first four pages to remain entirely free of any page numbers, yet I require the fifth page to display the number 5, followed by a seamless continuation of numbering through 6, 7, 8, and so on.

Does anyone know the proper way to achieve this?
I am essentially posing the same inquiry once more. I am on the lookout for a cash box—something metal. It doesn’t necessarily require a combination lock; a simple key mechanism would be perfectly sufficient, but my primary concern is that it features dedicated compartments for banknotes so that I can effectively sort through $3.25, $6.75, and $17, in addition to having some designated space for coins.

Would I be able to locate such an item at a Home Depot or perhaps a Lowe's?

Just when I was starting to believe that Anderson had finally recruited someone capable enough to actually resolve the issue, the exact same problem began to resurface once again.🙄

I don't think I have an active Trojan on my system anymore. I'm not seeing any more direct warnings, but the real issue is that my brand-new laptop completely crapped out on me today after being hit by thirty-eight different viruses, ranging from worms and spyware to yet another Trojan.

The alerts were explicitly stating, "This malicious software is attempting to install an unauthorized program."
"This malicious software is attempting to access your credit card information..."

And so on, 😁in that vein.

Look, I am well aware that the threat of Trojans isn't exactly some novel phenomenon, but this specific warning notification only started popping up on my screen today.

On top of the fact that Microsoft Defender is constantly flagging new Trojans every single minute, I’m also running into this issue

and then there's this

Could someone please provide an explanation for what might be happening here?

The forum seems to be under constant attack. It actually all started when I decided to take some advice and adjust my settings in Mozilla to block automatic redirects. I went ahead and did exactly that...

Ever since then, I’ve been seeing that "Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page" notification constantly. So, before anyone claims they've fixed the issue only for it to be hacked again, you should know that's just my security settings doing their job...

If I hadn't blocked that nonsense, I would still be getting bombarded with pop-ups for some random casino or those useless betting sites...

I have been away from my desk all day, and I honestly kept hoping that everything would be sorted out by now, but not a chance... I can't even access the forum at all. The only way I can get anything to happen is if I navigate to the site and then immediately hit the stop button on my browser.

🙄

This entire platform is falling apart... every single week there is some new technical disaster waiting around the corner, just like one of those cheap little surprises in a kid's candy egg.

It seems like nobody even cares about this anymore.
