Magnetic Man at Lollapalooza... if he's playing, I can only hope we see him at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival too 🙂

Chase & Status
Can you even imagine the sheer energy if these two shared a stage? It would be an absolute knockout, a total triumph—come on, bring them to Coachella!!!
Arthur Anderson75 said:Lollapalooza isn't some local homegrown thing, nor has it ever been.
The whole festival was actually run by an Austrian organizer—the same one who owns Lollapalooza—working alongside their American partners.
As for Moby, he performed as part of Burning Man, which runs concurrently, just a day apart, in both Washington, D.C. and Vienna. The driving force behind it all is Mars Music (handling publishing and promotion), which maintains offices in both Washington, D.C. and Vienna under the direction of an owner from Rye.
My mistake; Lollapalooza, Burning Man—it’s all essentially the same machine. 😁

If the organizers managed to pull off bringing Bob Dylan to Savannah, surely they could handle the Foo Fighters, right? But honestly, what is the deal with this festival lately? It wasn't even around last year, and isn't it run by some foreign production company anyway?
The promoters are based out of Europe; in Vienna this year, they've got Moby plus some other unannounced headliner lined up, so we'll just have to wait and see who shows up on our shores, though I am certain *someone* will eventually take the stage...
Doesn't it feel like Coldplay is a bit too mainstream to be headlining a festival like this? Wouldn't they be much better suited for their own massive solo show at Madison Square Garden or somewhere along those lines?

I don't typically listen to them, but I simply had to share this
Breaking Benjamin - Diary of Jane (Sean Tyas Rework)
It is just too damn good 🙂

Interestingly, the largest contingent of international guests stayed within the campgrounds, which saw visitors arriving from all over the map; everything from Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic to Canada, the United Kingdom, the USA, Canada, Russia, New Zealand, North Mexico, Italy, Poland, Canada, Canada, and Mexico.
Does anyone else feel like the numbers are a bit inflated? Personally, I would have estimated maybe 15,000 to 20,000 at most.
They simply summed up every single day combined—meaning they counted the people who were there for all three days three separate times.😁
Is anyone actually interested in playing games? I’m offering a free wristband for tonight’s show if someone is willing to play along...
The catch, however, is that I am looking for a woman—someone attractive, young, maybe between 16 and 19—who wouldn't mind grabbing a coffee with me first. 😉 😁

I caught a set by Audio Bullys, and honestly, those guys are absolute legends. I’ll admit, after listening to just two of their tracks before the show, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but seeing them live was a different story altogether—truly fantastic. Perhaps they indulge in a bit too much banter into the microphone at times, but does that really matter when the energy is that high? It was perfectly fine...
I gave LCD a quick listen, but frankly, the whole thing felt sluggish and incredibly tedious...
The absolute highlight of the night, the crowning glory, had to be Pendulum. They are absolute titans. I haven't experienced an atmosphere quite that electric or seen such seamless engagement with the crowd in quite some time. They truly proved themselves to be the only act at this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival worth seeing; every single track they played seemed to outdo the last in terms of pure adrenaline.🙂My only grievance, if I dare call it that, is that they didn't perform an encore—though looking around, it seems nobody else did either. And wouldn't it have been wonderful if they had used an encore to play my absolute favorite, Hold Your Colour?
As for the songs from their new album, they are undeniably superior to their previous effort (though, let's be honest, they still don't quite reach the heights of the very first one).
And I must mention, they actually managed to get the entire crowd to squat in unison!🙂
By the way, I still have my festival wristband which is still valid, but since I can't make it back, if anyone knows the secret to removing one without snapping the strap, please reach out; I'm happy to part with it for a very reasonable price.🙂

Rebecca Lee said:I honestly haven't figured out how to chemically engineer a crossover between Billy Idol and Pendulum just yet.😢
It’s quite simple, really!
Just skip the Bill Gates era nostalgia and head straight to Pendulum; why on earth would you bother with a relic who is still desperately clinging to the fading echoes of his 80s glory?😉 😁
jadeskipper18 said:Exactly, they just circle around the festival grounds endlessly. It’s actually quite convenient; last year we parked way out near the stadium, avoided those ridiculous parking fees altogether, and a shuttle dropped us right at the main gates. 😉
Do you happen to recall how frequently that shuttle runs?

If that location holds true, then we're looking at August 22nd—at least, that's what the rumors have been whispering

Unknown 😁
A rumor started floating around about a month ago suggesting the venue would actually be the municipal stadium over in Key West.
jadeskipper18 said:And frankly, that is exactly what I find myself wondering about as well. Is it not curious how these things unfold? 😢 Where on earth could he be? I have scoured the entire list from top to bottom, searching every single line, yet his name is nowhere to be found. Is it possible he was simply overlooked entirely? 😢
He was never even there in the first place; he’s just some random nobody lurking on a forum, for heaven's sake. 😁
They certainly have an incredibly catchy name, don't they? It’s almost a shame, really, because at the end of the day, they're just yet another rock band added to an endless, exhausting procession of similar groups, and frankly, I've lost all interest in following them...
So, the plan for day one is set: I’ll head out to catch a few sets from those indie darlings who sound like they need a serious intervention, listen to some overblown audio enthusiasts, check out the LCD crowd, and of course, witness Pendulum. Once that's all wrapped up, I'll probably drift over to one of the DJ stages to see what else is happening. 🙂
Roger Newman50 said:I just hope they move away from the main stages so I don't have to endure their repetitive noise bleeding into the actual concerts.
How incredibly mature of you, truly... 😂
goldenlynx30 said:It isn’t even about being insulted; it’s more that it’s just an incredibly tasteless remark, isn’t it? Isn't there a standard rule that one simply doesn't bring those things up, especially here on a forum within this specific context?
By the way, if you have any interest in electronic music, there are two acts you really ought to check out—on one hand, you have Electronic music, and on the other, L-Vis 1990. Take a listen to both sounds; the choice is yours.
I’ve seen those Electronic music acts before; I know their track Reebok is quite something, but where on earth are you finding this L-Vis 1990? On the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival website, it lists someone named Jaguar.
wiredgull19 said:I’d suggest you try listening to Halid Bešlić instead. Since I’m certain you already know every single one of his songs by heart, why not just sit back and enjoy them?
??????????????
If you had bothered to actually read my post in the first place, wouldn't common sense dictate that my preferences lean heavily toward electronic music? How on earth did you all arrive at the conclusion that I’d want to listen to classic pop icons or old-school crooners? 😕😕😕
Drew Barrett4 said:So, let me get this straight... you’re claiming Pendulum is the absolute peak of musical existence, yet you haven't even bothered to explore the rest? You're just now discovering these artists, and frankly, you don't even think they're any good!?!?!?! 🤷
I am reasonably familiar with most of the headliners and the international acts, but if we are being honest, my knowledge of Alice in Chains or The Flaming Lips is incredibly thin—all I really know about them is that their vocalist lent his voice to a track by the Chemical Brothers 😁 )
I listened to a bit of Massive Attack a while back, but it didn't quite hit the mark for me; I suppose if I actually liked them, I would have jumped at the chance to see them live six months ago. Morcheba is decent enough, though if you listen for too long, you'll find yourself drifting off into a nap. Now, Audio Bullys? That’s something I could actually sit through. As for LCD Soundsystem, they have exactly one great track in my eyes, and the rest is just filler ☕ Idol has one good song (or so I was told regarding the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival), and Chk Chk Chk has one standout track as well (though, to be fair, it's just a remix, so I doubt the purists would agree), and so on and so forth...
