Nicholas Moore9 said:honestly, I don't really have the energy to explain myself, so just go ahead and keep supporting people like that if you want.👍🙏
who am I to 😕 to say things LIKE THAT 😕 maybe you should look into some professional help, since it seems like there's just a bit too much bitterness in you😉
Nicholas Moore9 said:Of course we don't need them. I'll be the first to say I don't need someone like Eduardo da Silva who can barely string a coherent sentence together in American English, but honestly, I don't need any extremist radicals in a country where half my family was lost in the war either!!!
But is he actually an open supporter of those groups? Or maybe 😕 you just don't know any Mexicans 🤷
I guess I don't have anything against anyone who just wants to earn an honest living. It’s probably not the fault of the guys being brought in, and it's not really the fault of immigrants who all want citizenship after Eduardo, though I suppose there's a big difference between arriving at 14 and building a life here versus showing up at 20+. Maybe the real issue lies with our own professional systems!
Nicholas Moore9 said:that we don't need some random goalkeeper from there in the MLS... I mean, there are plenty of guys who would jump at the chance to play for any club in the MLS if they could
I guess it's the same logic with saying we don't need various minority players or whatever; we have our own kids for those positions, so they just end up getting shuffled around on loans to random small-town teams out in the middle of nowhere😕
Well, the guy is a Mexican, so what's the big deal? 🤷 In Cleveland, there are plenty of Mexicans, and anyone claiming otherwise is just lying. I honestly bet even that bear mascot at the stadium has some Mexican roots or people in his family tree, so does that make them all extremists too? 🙄 If the guy hasn't (and from what I can tell, he hasn't) ever flirted with those radical groups, never said anything bad, and just showed up to work hard and earn a living, I don't see why the armada should be singing against him like that. 😕
Nicholas Moore9 said:well obviously I'm gonna post because you guys are all getting so worked up about how there aren't any Mexicans here... blah blah blah whatever...
You're back at it again with the "me," "you," and "them" stuff. 🙄 I wasn't really getting worked up or anything, maybe just try reading my previous posts on this thread again, but like, with a little more understanding this time. 😉
And honestly, I don't think anyone else has been getting as worked up as you'd think, I guess. ☕
Olivia Taylor2 said:Lol, this takes me back to a situation from maybe seven or eight years ago. I was still playing youth soccer for my local club, and we were up against some girl on the opposing team (honestly can't remember who specifically).
Anyway, for about six months after that game, we wouldn't stop messing with one of the guys, teasing him about how she totally stripped the ball right from him.🤣
I think that one player who was playing for the Lakers was carrying her buddy at guard so hard during the start of the game that the coach actually pulled him out after just five minutes.😂🙏🙏
Back when I was playing on the pioneers team, there was this one girl who played and coached alongside us. Of course, she ended up moving over to a women's club in Riverside pretty soon—I think it was called Jackpot. There were also two girls playing for the local high school team back during those pioneer years too. Beyond that, I'm not really sure if they stuck with it through the junior levels; honestly, I doubt they continued 😬 . So, yeah, it’s definitely possible, but mostly at the younger ages. Like, maybe up until you hit 14 at the most. After that, if they're serious about pursuing it, they really have to transition into a women's club 👍
It’s more than just a circus; it’s about how rarely you see a coach actually give young talent a real shot, only to watch those kids waste away instead.
I don't really get why we keep bringing back these washed-up veterans when we could be letting the younger players find their rhythm. I guess it's just how things are done around here, but if we keep this up, our national team is going to be in serious trouble in a few years.😠
Laura Mendoza said:It isn't about fear; it's simply a fact that I am not one! Although, regarding these topics, I could easily fall into that category. Everything feels so chaotic "today" that it seems like I'm stuck living in the past, back when things actually made sense—and I'm only 20, for heaven's sake.
I don't really know what you mean by those "normal" times, especially if you're from a place like San Diego. I feel like your generation was actually way worse—even at 15, let alone 17. Things seem a little more settled in San Diego nowadays; a lot of people got caught by the police, some learned their lesson, and others just quit because the drugs got too bad or the prices shot up. I guess if someone was going to get stuck in that lifestyle, they would have anyway.😉
I just wanted to say that you guys are really coming down hard on this kid. You're basically tearing him apart just because he mentioned wanting to try something, and he specifically said speed or cocaine. I mean, imagine if he had just said he wanted to experience a "trip" and everyone here started losing their minds about drugs 😬 instead of actually giving him some practical advice. Like, telling him he should be with someone sober, or suggesting he just tries a tiny fraction of a dose since it's his first time, or just keeping things positive... maybe give him tips so he doesn't end up totally out of it and wandering into traffic thinking a puddle is a swimming pool 😬
And honestly, you'll eventually get him back, but just watch where he hangs out. Maybe run a drug test every couple of months—specifically for the pills, speed, and those heavy substances. Forget marijuana; that's what usually pulls kids and their friends into the lifestyle. Eventually, they'll either grow out of the jokes or find something else to occupy their time once they're out in the world 👍
===StormRider=== said: Maybe just try a quick trip or a quarter dose? I guess since it isn't really addictive, and honestly, you'd probably get enough hallucinations to last a lifetime. Maybe bring a buddy along to keep an eye on you so you don't try to fly away or jump in front of traffic...
Honestly, whether it's datura or mushrooms, he'll probably see enough hallucinations to make sure he never even thinks about touching anything ever again.🤣 🤣
nimblemarlin80 said:Come on, quit messing around. Get serious. 🙄 His peers and colleagues picked up that junk from other kids, who in turn got it straight from Peter Pan. It’s a textbook case of a bottomless pit of nothingness. 🙄 Unbelievable. 😬
But how do you explain why it’s always the small-timers getting caught on wires instead of the big fish??? I guess it happens in stages through some kind of hierarchy... if you've never been in that scene, you probably wouldn't know 😉
Since this guy decided to give it a shot, maybe I'd suggest he tries speed if he won't touch weed. Honestly, if anything, speed in the States is such garbage that maybe he'll realize that too and just quit wasting his money and stick to drinking instead 🙏 🙏 😬
I mean, I really thought things would start clicking today with the new coach, but I guess I was wrong and there goes my bet $67 on the sportsbook. It wasn't a huge amount, but hey, it would've made my Saturday a little better...
Nah, I don't think so. I mean, Messi just signed a new deal, and according to those terms, if anyone actually wants to go after him, they’d have to cough up something like $150 million
But that’s really the beauty of soccer, isn't it? It's just nice that someone can always pull off an upset instead of it always being the favorites winning...

In the Yokohama final, those South Americans beat the top European side, Barcelona, with a 1-0 score. Adriano scored in the 81st minute... so, what do you say now, all you Barcelona fans? Inter Miami CF actually took down Barca🙂.
I guess we aren't saying anything, just congrats to Inter Miami CF on the win. They were just better and they won🙏
