Arthur Martin13 said:Hey! Got one more question about bet365. If I'm reading this right, my Citibank foreign currency account comes with a debit card, right? So couldn't I just use that debit card to move money straight from my Citibank account to my bet365 account? Like, skip using PayPal entirely? Has anyone actually tried doing that with bet365? Is that even an option?
Joshua Garcia8 said:Mastercard is solid because it helps you sidestep all those US tax regulations on gambling winnings. I haven't heard of anyone getting hit with taxes for moving money from a sportsbook <--> bank account yet, but once the IRS really tightens things up, I doubt they'll let that money slip through the cracks.

Can someone break this down for me? Orlando-New Jersey; (+11.5) New Jersey, (-11.5) Orlando Magic

Anyway, it's progress. Only one person asked, though it's not really relevant to my point. A single decent question isn't the issue. It doesn't trigger a massive, useless argument or a fight, and it won't mess up the daily thread's layout, even if it puts a little more pressure on you moderators since you've brought it up so many times.😍
Personally, I’d just stick to links and rules in the pinned threads, but that’s probably going too far.
Long story short, I think we should at least give this a shot because there's nothing to lose. We should also emphasize the last part of this post.
Ethan Jones5 said:Sure, there will always be people like that, but at least fewer folks will waste their breath trying to explain why they're wrong so maybe they'll eventually get bored of posting nonsense. Their whole goal is just to get attention on the forum because they don't have anything else going on besides lurking online all day. Meanwhile, the rest of us could actually get useful info, which is impossible now when half the posts in a daily thread are just people bickering with idiots.
Man, what a sentence.🤣Anyway, not to drag this out—I could probably write a whole novel 🤣listing a million reasons why this would work, but if you guys think it won't make a difference, then I'm wasting my breath typing.🤷

More questions: can you do a double chance on bet365, like 1X or X2? I'm a total newbie and honestly, I'm struggling a bit... I can't even find the basic stuff like 1 X or 2...
And from what I see, you can bet while the game is actually happening. So, what's the catch? Like, couldn't I just dump everything I own ten minutes before the whistle on a team leading 3-0 and basically guarantee a win? Where's the trap? Are the odds tiny or is there a stake limit?
Gary Ross2 said:Dammit, I just got back from Citibank. Despite their website explicitly saying otherwise, they wouldn't let me open a foreign currency account without a Driver's License (I only have my passport; I won't be getting my Driver's License for another few months). I asked if a passport would work since that's what the site says, and the teller just goes, "It works if you already have an account with us."
The site says:
1. Who can open a foreign currency account?
Any individual, resident or non-resident of the USA, can open a foreign currency account. You can open an account at any local branch by presenting a Driver's License or a passport.
Reading through this now, looks like my only real move is Chase. Does anyone know if I can go there and get a Visa electron using just my passport instead of a Driver's License?
🙂
Gary Ross2 said:Thanks a ton. It was a massive info dump at first, but after digging through everything, I think I've got the gist of it. Hope you don't mind me jumping the gun with all the questions. 😁
Gonna go handle that now. I'll post an update on how it goes so others can see what to expect. 🙂
Walter Edwards said:Cards with a CVV/CVC on the back should technically work fine for online shopping, PayPal, Moneybookers, or betting sites. However, some US banks just don't have those options enabled at all. So, cards from certain big banks—like Chase, for instance—might not work for these types of online transactions even if they have the code. It’s not an issue with the card itself, but rather the bank's settings.
From what I know, banks like JP Morgan Chase and Wells Fargo definitely issue cards that work. I've heard similar things about Bank of America, but I can't say for sure.
Also, you can't use an American Express card for gambling deposits; that's just their corporate policy. There's a little workaround to bypass it, but honestly, I doubt anyone here even has one, otherwise, this question wouldn't have come up in the first place.
Steven Ross35 said:They could just be lying about their bets too. It's the same thing.
Mostly, I don't really care since I'm not posting any slips, but this whole debate is pointless. Nobody's using actual arguments; it's just about who trusts who.
neonscout7 said:Kudos to your patience for not losing it yet while explaining everything to everyone. 🙏 👍
Steven Ross35 said:so what?
The thing is, posting a betting slip on a forum doesn't prove anything.
Just like how you might believe someone isn't faking their slip, you could just as easily believe them when they claim they bet $3333
