Not much has happened yet, but my own husband just completely threw me off... I honestly felt like throwing him out the window.
Since the baby is coming, he wants all the cats—including my Biba van—out of the house because he doesn't want any pet hair around the newborn.🙂
I’m seriously considering a divorce. If this keeps up, I’ll be the only one vacuuming while he refuses to clean up after them.🙂🙂😳
Would you ever help someone who abused you? in Psychology & Therapy ·
It’s hard to shake that feeling of helplessness when you can't step in to help. I get your pain; I'm stuck in a similar loop myself. That old saying about blood being thicker than water is burned into my brain, especially once you become a parent and end up acting more like a therapist to your own folks than a child.

The reality is, you see it clearly—nothing ever actually changes. It’s like they exhaust themselves on some trip or outing, leaving you sitting at home in knots, just waiting to see their names pop up in the local news. My mother just keeps doing her own thing; there might be a few days or even months of peace, but then she slowly pulls you right back into that cycle of misery and constant cries for attention, help, or whatever else...

Even if she eventually moves in, it’s just more guilt-tripping and projecting decades-old grievances about who is to blame. Don't let yourself get sucked in. I don't have an answer for you, because if you try to fix things and realize people simply refuse to change, you'll just end up blaming yourself. Once she recovers and starts her usual routine again, I honestly don't know how anyone handles it... I'm still spinning my wheels too.

Those initial steps really matter!
Just keep pushing forward and things will fall into place. If you're watching shows or movies, try picking something more upbeat and bright... maybe something inspiring that actually makes you want to get out of the house.

Spring is almost here, so at least you'll have some sunshine for walks soon!
I’ve got that ringing too. It’s been over a year now. Sometimes it’s incredibly annoying, other times I don't even notice it... my doctor says it's due to my spine and poor circulation. Though, it all actually started when I was out partying right next to some massive speakers. My first symptoms were this unbearable buzzing—not even sure if it's in my head or my ears—plus dizziness, anxiety, passing out, and pain at the base of my skull.
