JPMorgan Chase: What are your experiences? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Is there any way to actually shift the billing date on a personal loan? Right now, it’s set for the 8th of every month, which is just a bit too early for my budget cycle.
I’ve got my checking account with them and I’ve always been perfectly reliable with my payments.

Mistaken wire transfer/payment error in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Alright, let’s see if anyone can clear this up for me. Is it actually possible for someone to wire money to my account at JP Morgan Chase using a different name? Here is the situation: my name is Mirko Mirkić, and I have a standard checking account over at JP Morgan Chase. A buddy of mine wants to use my routing and account numbers just to get some funds moved into my account, but his name is Ivan Ivić.

To be crystal clear: different name, but my specific account details.

Can it be done, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Has anyone actually pulled this off in the real world?

Will the bank start breathing down my neck about it?

Head into your NFC settings and select m-wallet. From there, navigate to the card section and pick the specific card you want to use for contactless payments—just keep in mind this works for your debit Maestro or credit Mastercard, but Visa cards won't cut it here.

What’s the maximum number of paychecks I can stretch a Madonna installment plan across?
Right now, I’m looking at one paycheck for standard installments, and then three for the negative balance option.
Is there any way to bump that negative balance coverage up to three paychecks?

Look, Chase’s online portal isn't quite the same thing as their mobile app. It's a different beast entirely.
With the web version, you just use your browser—you can head straight to this link:

Look, Washington, D.C. was just an example. I had no trouble getting it delivered right here in Savannah, Georgia.

Does the Visa card actually support direct top-ups? I'm talking about those foreign card deposits, like a "deposit to card from abroad" type of deal.

Of course you can. You’ll be handed a German IBAN and a German Mastercard debit card.
The IRS isn't going to do anything about it—honestly, who cares about them anyway? 🙂

I'm with you on this...

And what if you don't even have an account set up with Wise yet?

He’s gotten himself turned around between the old currency and the Euro. Does anyone know if they actually accept Euro deposits here in the States if you don't have an account set up with them?

Walter Garcia47 said:Has anyone experimented with transferring USD between two different foreign currency accounts owned by separate individuals here in the States? Apparently, banks don't permit direct foreign currency deposits within the US, so I'm wondering if this might serve as a straightforward workaround.

Look, if you're sending USD to someone via Wise into a foreign currency or multi-currency account, the transfer hits them looking like it's coming from a business entity using a US IBAN. Wise maintains an account at JP Morgan Chase.
Is it even legally possible for a business entity to deposit USD to an individual in the US?
Does Wise support transferring USD in the US?

By the way, US banks permit foreign currency transfers domestically, but only if you're moving funds between your own accounts or to an account where you're a designated representative. That's what the federal currency laws dictate. 👎

Are Euro transfers from Wise to N26 instant?
What about Wise to Monese?
Or Wise to Vivid?
And Wise to Wirex?

And why shouldn't I?
Go ahead and report them to the federal authorities. Let someone actually deal with them for once.

granitesailor25 said:Ugh, I tried asking for a report at the bank but they totally stonewalled me and wouldn't give me anything, so now I'm just sitting here completely lost... this is my first time dealing with any of this stuff and I'm only 22, so yeah, total rookie move on my part!

In that case, you should contact the federal authorities regarding the credit reports and debt disclosures.
They’ll point you in the right direction.
Which bank were you even talking to? Wells Fargo or maybe OTP?

granitesailor25 said:But see, that’s the whole kicker—I don't even have a clue who I actually owe!

Just pull the statement. It’ll clearly state who the debt is owed to, then you just go handle it.

granitesailor25 said:Alright, fair enough! But hey, I'm kinda wondering, what's the actual move here if I want to pay down that debt? Like, how does one even go about chipping away at it?

It’s pretty straightforward: you figure out who holds the debt, get in touch with them, and make the payment. ☕

electricbadger89 said:You can use any bank to handle the transfer.
Just pay the fee, meet their requirements, and they’ll send the funds over to the unknown.
Then, you just wait for the confirmation to hit your inbox.

At least, that’s how it used to work.

No, that's not quite right. You request the report directly from your own bank—the one that actually participates in the system.

Fine. I can't see my Mastercard listed in either the Home app or the mobile banking interface. It looks like I'll have to get in touch with them to have it manually added to the system. 😒🤦
Just shoot an email over to info@jpmorganchase.com and ask them to link your credit card to your Online and Mobile banking profiles.
Let us know what they say once you hear back.

Did you set up a standard checking account or a foreign currency one?
