Exactly! Either you run into some pissed-off loser arguing with himself (not even talking about today's race, just generally) or you hit something like this (referring to today's comments).
Okay, he won. It’s not the first or last time in the last few years. How did he win? Unbelievable, but he crossed the finish line first just like every other winner before him! What a freaking miracle, never seen anything like it—the greatest achievement in human history after the invention of the wheel and the alphabet!
For example, Vettel finished 4th while Alonso ended up 4th, right behind Vitaly Petrov, in a championship fight! There's zero point in listing more.
Who's the crazy one here? I don't even root for anyone because there's always someone better. I've been watching this phenomenon for a while now, staying quiet so some little punk doesn't think I'm entertaining them🙂, and I can't believe what I'm reading.
I knew an explosion of emotion from Alonso fans would follow. Fine, whatever, he won deservedly, but all this constant mentioning of Vettel has turned into a straight-up complex! If he isn't better, Vettel definitely isn't worse than Alonso—as a person, let alone as a driver. I haven't seen this much insecurity and need to act tough by trashing others since those old war movies.
Whoever said this forum isn't relevant anymore is right. Alonso, the unsung, misunderstood, unfortunate superman on the level of Michelangelo, invoking heights and gods... it's not even funny anymore. What is wrong with you guys? Based on your description of today's race, you'd compare him to van Dam in the first kickboxing movie! Like, he's blind and abandoned, but still the winner.🤮
There's no point arguing here anymore, seriously. The comments are the only things deserving of such "divine" adjectives, but in a negative way. How else do you explain a comment like "Kimi became a total crybaby"? Is this some kind of joke? Think about the Finn driving for Lotus who finished 2nd today because he started 2nd in a car just as good as the winner's? And that's based on that one sentence about Perez? The Perez who did what he did to him?
greetings and enjoy, the forum is yours☕

Hey
That Mercedes looks like a bullet—hands down the tightest car I've seen yet. I’ve been saying all along they were just missing one thing: a world-class driver. Well, they finally got one. Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if Lewis walks away with the championship :-).
And all this talk about tradition and history? Who cares! Does a name matter? We aren't living in the old days anymore, and we sure as hell aren't listening to some local news anchor from the 80s. It's not like we need some retired legend signing with Ferrari to make it official!
As for Red Bull... yeah, right. They won't last long. But who gives a damn? Last time Ferrari actually snagged a title, if I recall correctly, Kimi was behind the wheel :-).
Red Bull are marketing geniuses. Everything people nitpick as a "weakness" is just a win in my book for what they've pulled off. Did anyone actually think they'd be triple champions when they first showed up? Were they any different from a backmarker like Haas back in the day? And what's this crap about Vettel's helmet design? Are you kidding me?
Did it matter what shirt Tarantino was wearing when he shot Pulp Fiction? Or what underwear a legendary striker wore when he crushed it at the World Cup?
It doesn't matter. Once the first race kicks off in Australia, that's all that's gonna matter. Remember Jenson Button's season? Did anyone actually see him coming? Where was all that "history" and "big names" then?
Look, we've got it all. People can say whatever they want, but we've got Vettel as a three-time champ in a car that looks absolutely killer, regardless of his helmet style, backed by a top-tier crew because they *are* multi-time champs. And we've got at least five absolute killers ready to knock him off his throne.
Forget the teams, the history, the helmets, the announcers, or the tracks. It's about those five hungry drivers who will do anything to take the crown! Four of them have already done it! I'm looking forward to an epic season.

Just the paint job.
Same story as last year.
Could use a little more optimism from the Kimi crew.🙂

As long as Kimi’s still around, I’m feeling good. Optimism is high. 🙂

Nathan Jones98 said:The Lotus just looks old and ugly—no contest. Both Ferrari and McLaren look much more solid and definitely more attractive than they did last year.
When you look at them, there's actually a lot of overlap between Ferrari and McLaren—meanwhile, that Lotus looks like it fell off a spaceship.
It's pretty obvious that Lotus's money troubles really tanked their car development.

Exactly. If they hadn't slapped on some new decals and held a launch event, I would've thought we were looking at last year's Lotus again. Not promising at all :-(

McLaren’s looking gorgeous again
Ferrari looks way better than last year
Compared to them, Lotus already looks ancient :-(

This is exactly why I love F1—nothing else even comes close!
Screw George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, and Jean-Luc Picard, this is what real final frontiers look like!
I swear, if this break lasts any longer, I'm gonna lose it!!!

I seriously hope this is the last time I ever have to see Kim playing like this, it’s freaking unnatural!!!!!🙂🙂🤮
Regarding that whole "joke" involving that washed-up kid from Friends—look, I get the money aspect and whatever, but honestly? This kind of nonsense is gonna cause way more damage than it's worth.

Facts. 👍
Plus, there's a ton of races left on the calendar and plenty of points up for grabs. I don't think anything is settled yet, and I definitely don't think any one team has a massive edge over the others. Right before this race, everyone was acting like McLaren was untouchable, then boom—Red Bull takes it. All three drivers are still very much in the hunt.

Crazy Americans 🙂
Damn, Baby’s getting old. It sucks seeing him age like that, we’re really getting there, huh?

Mika did it with actual class while under massive pressure. These kids today? They cry over every little damn thing. Someone overtakes them, someone bumps them slightly, someone waves at them from another car, someone gives them a dirty look from the stands, hell, even if a bird shits on their visor... they start whining like babies!

So stoked to see Kamui Kobayashi on the podium in US Japan! This crowd is freaking insane! 🙏

Totally agree about the fans.
But as for the drivers, they aren't all cut from the same cloth. You got a few total crybabies, sure, but there are a couple who definitely aren't. Though, people always find some other bullshit to complain about. 😉
Boring race, and now everyone's claiming Lotus is cooking up some killer upgrades—we'll see. Anything can happen, but if you ask me, this is turning into an Alonso vs. Vettel showdown.
Korea is coming up in just a week, sweet.

Heh, you have no idea the kind of heat you're gonna draw with a comment like that!
Morning, everyone. Just sat down right as things were kicking off. Man, what a mess to witness.
You're spot on about most of what you said, but you're forgetting one thing—the guy is actually decent. That's just how he is. If he had even an ounce of arrogance in him, I wouldn't even look his way. But he doesn't.
Mass is doing okay, but there's still a long road ahead, and honestly? I'm skeptical. I really want to be proven wrong here. Vettel is just gonna cruise through this without breaking a sweat.
Looking at this objectively, this is where the championship is decided again. Ferrari is slipping, point-wise, over the last few races, and with all the random chaos that always happens, their lead is evaporating. Most of their issues aren't even on the track—it's a total disaster in the garage. They need to make that car competitive, to put it mildly.
McLaren is stuck in no man's land, Red Bull is absolutely killing it, Lotus is nothing special, and Sauber is basically invisible...
Vettel, Mass, and Kamui—honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing those three on the podium together.

A night race in Bangkok? Honestly, could be a vibe. Singapore is killer for that kind of thing.
F1 in Greece? Please, who would even care? Total waste of time.
And this race in Japan is starting to get seriously boring.

The whole crew over at ESPN is basically a cult following anything he spits out or does.

And man, he's gotten so damn cranky lately... especially during interviews. Like, just talk like a normal person, alright? I get it, he hates doing media, but he doesn't have to make it so obvious—like it's tattooed on his forehead.

Same thing now, acting like he couldn't care less that everyone else had to slow down through the turn because he spun off... look, I'm not saying he needs to go cry about it, but maybe just say: "My bad, didn't mean to do that, sorry to the guys for the mess."
I really think he needs to stop constantly pushing this "I don't give a damn about anyone" persona.

Man, he doesn't have the luxury of being some anonymous guy on a forum. Not talking about you, just generally. Because if he actually says something different—anything else—someone's gonna claim he's full of crap because suddenly he "cares" about people. You know how it is, a total lose-lose situation. No matter what he says, if someone wants to be a jerk, they'll twist it so he looks like an absolute idiot! I don't get it, seriously.
He's always been like this, so why would he suddenly care about others just because he spun out and messed up their line? Is he the only one who's ever done that? Was it intentional? Like, did he purposely park his car in the middle of a turn or stay in the pits a few seconds too long just to screw over his teammate? Which hypocrisy is worse—actually apologizing to the guys, or having people worship his name to an absurd degree?
He's got a massive fan club just like any other driver. What's wrong with that? Aside from the fact that he says what's on his mind and you just don't like it🤷. What, you expecting an apology for that too?

Quote:It's always someone else's fault. Look, don't take this as me being salty, just saying it's something we should actually worry about. For our own sake.
Jason Campbell70 says:
Just gotta point out that massive fail by that Finnish clown... 🙏🙏 🙏
Even Massa wouldn't have pulled an idiotic move like that.

In a rainy race, no less.

🙏 🙏 🙏

Hehe, the Finnish clown
Because what happened to Kimi Raikkonen was just a plain old mistake. I've spun out like that myself before without thinking I was screwing over Alonso. Same goes for Kimi. At least, that's how I see it.
🙂 I like Alonso, so if he wins because he's better, fine. But saying stuff like this...
😉 Anyway, looking forward to seeing him get a better starting spot after whatever penalty or whatever happens.
🤷 Wouldn't kill me if Sebastian Vettel won, and I'm hoping Lewis makes the podium too. 🙂
Just like those guys at the start of the post who act like they can't breathe without MSH, me and my buddy are wondering what we'll do when Kimi leaves. This time we'll actually prepare so we aren't caught totally off guard. Thinking between Hamilton and Vettel, probably Lewis.

As for podium surprises? Maybe only Jenson Button pulls something off tomorrow.
I don't care who we're talking about, but how does someone even manage to pull off an undeserved win? In a Formula 1 race?
Can't wait for this to kick off. Since Kimi is only 11, I’m watching without any massive expectations—just gonna let these guys tear each other apart and see who comes out on top... though honestly, I think Lewis Hamilton is gonna walk away with this one easy.
Depends on who you ask, but personally, I think this track is killer to watch. A night race through the city streets! No matter what angle they show, it looks freaking awesome. Especially that view from the pool at the top of the hotel!
Tbf1d-shame you didn't stick around, people say the track is super fan-friendly, meaning you can get right up against the action and actually see some damn good racing.
THAT RACE WAS A TOTAL DISASTER
Nürburgring GP Recap: July 22, 2012 in Formula 1 ·
Are you kidding me? Why couldn't they make that call before the podium ceremony? What does Kimi even care about third place and some trophy sitting in some hallway somewhere? He probably didn't even grab it; someone from the crew can just take it to the kids. They'll forgive everything else, but man, they won't forget losing out on that champagne🙂.
Good call, but the timing was absolute garbage. I was watching Vettel, who’s sitting at 5th or 6th now—whatever—not this guy in 3rd. Nobody gets anything out of this move. Except maybe Kimi getting his points.
And then they barely even mention him or show him on screen, even though this decision puts him right on the heels of third in the standings. Seriously, the least talked-about driver in the top 10!
Probably because he's the best one out there😁
