Does anyone know a decent urologist in NYC? I'm looking for some solid recommendations if anyone has one.

Just one more thing. So, it's the exact same card, but one is an ASUS model and the other is Gigabyte—the ASUS version is about $50 more expensive. I guess you have to wonder if there’s actually any real difference between them?

I managed to track this down, though I suppose by the time it actually reaches us, any decent discount will have evaporated.😢

Does anyone know if there are any decent GPU deals coming up for Black Friday?

ruggedcrane20 said:Hi everyone, does anyone know a good physiatrist or physical therapist in Washington, D.C.? I really need someone who can provide a clear diagnosis and a solid treatment plan. My lower back pain has been getting worse lately—it’s constant now, whether I'm standing, sitting, or even lying down.

I'm actually in the same boat here; if anyone has a recommendation, please let me know.
Sleeping on the floor: worth it or not? in Health ·
velvetmoose9 said:Save up and plan ahead if you're looking to buy a mattress. 🙂

A quality mattress really does help with "self-regeneration"—basically helping to realign your spine. I guess that’s just how it works. To put it simply, I guess.Well, that doesn't seem to be working.
It seems to be happening across the board—among regular folks, young people, and especially within the socialite circles and blue-collar workers who handle heavy physical labor.
Especially for those who spend most of their day sitting at a desk, I suppose.

I wouldn't recommend sleeping on a hard floor for you right now, I guess.

He’s having issues because of all the sitting. I guess staying stationary—whether you're sitting or just standing in one spot—is arguably the worst thing you can do for your spine. Our spines aren't actually perfectly straight, right? Because of those natural curves, I suspect he might actually benefit from lying on a firm surface, like a hard floor, rather than a mattress. If he lies on a soft mattress, it tends to contour to your shape, which means it ends up pressing against every single curve of the back. If he were to lie on a hard surface instead, that lumbar region might be left slightly unsupported, allowing it to relax and settle naturally. Maybe that kind of release is exactly what he needs.
I suppose there are certain stretching exercises where you end up forcing too much pressure on the lower back. I mean, it’s not like anyone can exactly sit on your stomach to flatten out your lumbar spine, right?
Here’s a photo, just to make it a bit easier to see what I mean.

There’s also another variation—if you want to call it an exercise—where you just hold that position for about ten minutes without moving an inch. It's quite similar to the first one, though I suppose you could say it's different if you prop your knees up at a right angle against something, like a bench or a chair. It's basically the same thing.

Forgive me for drifting away from the topic of lying down, but I just wanted to illustrate my point regarding firmer surfaces by sharing these specific exercise examples. I guess it might help show why I think a harder base is probably better. 🙂

Good grief, 🤦 they can't see a thing. My bad. 🙈
A neuronal lesion affecting both visual pathways... I suppose that would imply
PC build recommendations? in Desktops ·
My first move will probably be swapping in a new graphics card just to see how things hold up; plus, I'll finally be able to run some of those heavier titles.
By the way, nobody mentioned the OS—is anyone else finding Windows to be a bit sluggish compared to when it first launched?

So, I have this:
I suppose there’s some interest in the MSI H81M-E3 motherboard. It seems like a decent enough option if you're just looking to get a basic system up and running.
ovo:
Intel is making some moves with their latest processor lineup, though I guess it's hard to say exactly how much this will shake up the market. It looks like they're leaning heavily into efficiency, which might be just what people need if they're tired of overheating rigs. Maybe it'll actually hold its own against the competition this time around.
ovo:
I suppose if you're looking to pick up some DDR3 memory modules, this might be worth a look. It seems like a decent enough option for older setups, I guess.

And this too. 😢:
I suppose you can find all the technical specs for that card right here on the official NVIDIA site. It’s probably worth a look if you're planning an upgrade.

So, here's the situation. When Windows 10 first rolled out, it actually ran pretty smoothly on my current setup. I couldn't really tackle the heavy modern titles, but I spent most of my time playing older classics, which worked just fine. Now, though, the whole system feels incredibly sluggish. I make a real point about not cluttering things up with a million different apps because that slowdown drives me crazy. I’m not entirely sure if I’ve picked up any malware, and even after trying to scrub everything with some anti-malware tools, I haven't noticed much of an improvement. Maybe they just didn't find what they were looking for, or maybe it's just Windows 10 being weighed down by all those constant updates. I guess it's hard to say. 🤷

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this. What would you all say? I guess I've just moved past that whole gaming era. 😢 I don't really need a $1,000 graphics card, but I suppose I’d like to be able to fire up a game every now and then. For instance, I have Battlefield 4 sitting right here in its box—never even opened, let alone played. 😢 I don't really want to struggle through it on this current setup. I'd rather have a build that actually runs the game smoothly without me having to constantly mess with the settings. It’s a game from 2013, after all—so it's definitely getting on the older side.
I hope I managed to explain that clearly enough. 🙈

Why were my links removed then? I thought you actually needed them.
I suppose the mods could move this and at least leave some kind of trail.
I’m trying to figure out how taking calming medication affects a concealed carry permit. My father is a lifelong hunter, and lately, his temper has become incredibly volatile. He’s always been a bit of a hothead, I guess, but over the last few years, it’s escalated to a point that’s almost unbearable. He’s currently relying on some herbal supplements, which probably don't do much more than a placebo effect would, and we keep suggesting he see a doctor for something more effective. However, he’s terrified that getting a prescription will lead to a formal diagnosis, which might cost him his driver's license or his firearm permit... does anyone know how that process actually works?

Timothy Kim60 said:The 560 isn't actually twice as good as the 460 (you might have been looking at an old GTX 460). Both the 460 and 560 are built on the same Polaris 11 chip; the 560 just has all the cores unlocked, so it's maybe a few percent faster.

Well, when I checked earlier, the benchmarks showed it performing twice as well. Looking back now, they seem nearly identical—I guess I forgot to check the sample size of the reviewers.
Besides the slot type, is there anything else I should look for to make sure the card is compatible with my motherboard?

I'm not sure what your budget looks like, but you might get better value out of three different GPUs—a GTX 1050 Ti (if it stays under $433), a GTX 1060 6GB (somewhere between $700 and maybe $833), or even a GTX 1080 (around $1500)

Well, I live in the States🤣
I actually just stumbled upon the RX 560 on PassMark a couple of days ago; it's twice as good as the RX 460 despite being the same price, somewhere north of 😳

Lower back pain/Lordosis help? in Health ·
Has anyone here gone through spinal surgery for lordosis? I’ve been dealing with some increasingly intense headaches lately, and I guess I'm starting to second-guess everything. 😢
I noticed there are separate threads for this, but since I’m dealing with all three issues at once, I was wondering if anyone else here is "the full package" 🙄 and had surgery. I'd love to hear about your experiences.

So, I click once, and it acts like I clicked twice—sometimes even three times. Has anyone else dealt with this? My laptop is only about six months old.
