So, am I being dragged back into the fold once again?

I mean, a drug is a drug, right? Not trying to be judgmental or anything; it just popped into my head...

What, you trying to play philosopher while high or something?

My bad,

🤣

Anyway, bummed I couldn't make it today. Other stuff came up, plus yesterday's workout totally wrecked me. Maybe next time I'll be 😁
...

Do you really think it's funny when someone is begging on the street?

🤣

None of us are looking any good—it’s because some beggar showed up and the eight of us didn't see a single cent from it.😉

Fine, fine—I'll play nice. Consider this my formal apology to the general public. 🙂

I actually lowered my dose of Azalea—again, only because I insisted on it during a particularly rough patch of stress—but looking back now, I can tell I really miss it. I actually had to take a second Xanax earlier today just to deal with how jittery and on edge I feel without it.

I don't know, but the AP is a serious matter. From what I can gather, the Azolar actually managed to kill off your psychosis, which is the most critical part here—if I were in your shoes, I’d be sticking with it if I could.

That whole "feeling passive" thing doesn't actually have anything to do with the medication itself. Sure, it might slow you down a touch, but if you don't let it settle in—if you don't just surrender to that sluggishness—then there isn't really an issue.

What do you think I'm supposed to feel like when I wake up after taking 300mg of Loquene and 4mg of Rispolept before bed? I'm certainly not "passive," that's for damn sure.

Dana Vaughn said:Well, after dealing with an acute psychotic episode last year, my doctor switched me over to Seroquel. Apparently, this one bumps up dopamine and serotonin levels, whereas the old medication just completely crushed me... I was basically a zombie, just totally passive all the time.

Honestly, you should take this straight to her—because from what you’re saying, she really messed things up. And if you're just seeing some random community clinic doctor, well, they'll just shuffle you from one prescription to the next without a second thought.

Dana Vaughn said:Hey everyone, has anyone else here tried tapering off Azalea-AP? I just had my dose dropped by 5 mg and honestly, I feel absolutely terrible. It’s this constant sense of nervousness, irritability, and physical tension... it feels exactly like I'm going through withdrawal. I'm at the point where I don't know if I can actually push through this, and I'm seriously considering asking my doctor to put me back on the previous dose. Has anyone else dealt with these kinds of symptoms?

Are you seeing someone through your insurance, or are you paying out of pocket for a private specialist?

restlesstiger49 said:Is this location actually happening, or are we stuck at Central Park again?

Honestly, restlesstiger49, you’d need a roadmap to find this place 🙂 which is great that you're finally showing up

Carl Rivera43 said:So, looks like it's happening this Friday.

Where should we meet downtown?

Maybe somewhere like Times Square, near that spot in Small Town, USA?

Honestly, I'm fine with any location—you guys just make the call.

Carl Rivera43 said:So, how about we aim for Friday around 7 PM?

Post count doesn't really matter to me, but having good intentions definitely does.

Let's just meet up somewhere downtown.

If we're talking Friday at 7 PM, you can count me in.

I'm pretty much certain I'll be around both tomorrow and Sunday—assuming nothing catastrophic happens to derail my plans.

Nick isn't going to snatch your medication away—not if you actually need them, at least. As long as they remain a necessity for you, he’ll leave them be.

Dana Vaughn said:Hey everyone.
About a year and a half ago, I went through a psychotic episode. It all started with this overwhelming feeling that my family was turning against me—like I was just a burden in my own home and they were looking for ways to get rid of me... I’ve been really diligent about taking my antipsychotics since being hospitalized, but about 20 days ago, my doctor lowered my Azalea dose from 15 mg down to 5 mg. Well, today the symptoms started creeping back in... those same exact feelings I had during the last episode. I panicked a bit and just took an extra 5 mg of Azalea along with some Normabel right away. I haven't checked in with my doctor yet, but I'm definitely calling them tomorrow to let them know I bumped the dose up. I can't help but wonder, is it better to do this now rather than just sitting here waiting for my next scheduled appointment? Is it okay to adjust things slightly on my own if the reduction felt too drastic? Honestly, the thought of slipping back into psychosis again is just terrifying.

Oh, absolutely... because clearly, the solution to feeling those symptoms is to just go ahead and change your own dosage on the fly!!
