What's your "why"? in Psychology ·
Raymond Carter10 said:Honestly, there’s just zero point in even trying to argue with someone who goes out of their way to capitalize "Church" and "Bible" like it's some kind of rule
I mean, you don't need to go hunting for some grand "reason for living" because, let's be real, finding one is pretty much impossible
So just chill out and enjoy life while you still can 🙂

You gotta capitalize Church if you're Catholic, man... should've known that!...

The Bible is the title of the book... remember, names always get a capital letter!...

Why even bother talking to someone who can't even type right... total waste of time...

Lighthearted romance is basically dead on arrival lately... feels like it’s all just worn out old nickels. Meanwhile, you see nothing but pure rage and bitterness everywhere you look. It’s been this way since day one and won't change for a century. Evil is everywhere, even when the big churches preach the good stuff while pocketing everyone's donations... honestly, the only thing left is that spark between two people, but even that can vanish in a heartbeat.

Life's just one big path toward the grave... once you hit that breaking point and think about ending it all, you realize you're just becoming an appetizer for ants or a little house for worms. Even the Bible says if you take your own life, you're heading straight to hell, no matter what sins you've committed. Honestly, better to stay and drown in your problems than to go out that way and end up even worse off...
Someone with severe disabilities who can't even communicate needs care, and honestly, you'd never dream of mocking them.

Yeah, people with intellectual disabilities might struggle to learn, but at least they're out there living their lives.

You can't even call folks in that category "stupid"—that's a medical condition.

As for everyone else, "stupidity" isn't actually a thing. Real stupidity is just acting dumb. Even the smartest person in the room is gonna mess up sometimes, but that doesn't make them stupid! We all say something silly once in a while, usually because we didn't have the full story or just had a momentary lapse. Human error is endless, and sometimes we trip up without meaning to, but nobody knows everything... People who are healthy and thriving are out there learning and working hard. I think smart people really fall into two groups: 1.) the ones who stay stuck in their ways and stop wanting to learn anything new, and 2.) the lifelong learners who are always leveling up their skills and knowledge.

And I'm totally with Zoe on this one, she nailed how a smart person should carry themselves. Also, calling someone a "nerd" is such an insult... huge props to anyone who wants to go above and beyond, whether it's for school, work, or whatever!

Just stay true to yourself... if people see where you're weak, they'll definitely use it against you. Don't be too open, don't let people walk all over you, and never change who you are just to please someone else... that's just showing them they can manipulate you whenever they want.

So I picked up some vacant land, bought from this Italian guy. Now I’ve got my
work permit and everything, even cleared the lot, but man, something else is totally blocking me... Like, legally, I'm golden. I have all the permits to hook up power, water, the whole nine yards, but on a spiritual level? This place is straight-up cursed since the second I stepped foot on it. I'm getting these creepy dreams where people are warning me not to build because the land belongs to someone else and it’s basically sacrilege. People say there used to be a cemetery nearby back in the 40s, though I don't see any sign of it... Twice now, someone's set fires to the property. Everything I bring out here just breaks. My mower works everywhere else in the US, but not on this dirt. Saws, heavy machinery, excavators—everything just dies the moment it touches this ground. What am I supposed to do?! Yeah, the Italian guy sold it to me just to get rid of it, but how am I gonna sell it when I just bought it? I'm all ready to go... Should I try to flip it, though who knows when a buyer will show up? Or just let it sit and watch my money go down the drain?
