and why did both Haas cars just completely fall apart?
I mean, Bear has always been a tire killer—if you look back at the era when Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg were running, they had massive issues with that too, so I guess it’s just part of the game now
Man, Kimi totally blew his first stint—he just couldn't hang with Bottas the way Vettel was sticking to Luja. After that, it felt like he was just cruising through it just to save the engine. It sucked... Vettel actually gapped him by a full pit stop during that stretch. If he’d been any closer, maybe he could've made it on the super softs—assuming he even had them—since those ultras lasted nearly half the race anyway.

I see everyone talking about Rubens—honestly, I was just thinking about skipping this one... he and Felipe Massa were a total disaster in the rain, though I guess they’re still good enough that nobody really threatens them on this track. And Lujo could have totally messed it up too, but of course, those guys from Red Bull Racing always find a way to ruin the race (like why on earth did they pit for strategy and then go right back in a few laps later? Plus that massive clusterfuck in the pits 😵)

Wait, weren't the Williams cars pretty much a total disaster in Monaco last year?

Damn... how did Mercedes find an extra 2.5 seconds per lap while Red Bull is still struggling to match last year's pace?
Honestly, if you're making those kinds of calls in Bahrain, Kimi needs an engine that actually stays together first 😍
Alonso 😱
Alonso and Gutierrez 😱 at Ferrari
It’s interesting how the rule changes seem to favor Mercedes again—with shorter pit stops (maybe 22-25 seconds, if you listen to what Ricciardo was saying), plus some chaos in the pits and even more aggressive excursions onto the grass. The result is barely a second difference, which makes me think that given the track conditions, Ferrari and Mercedes might be neck-and-neck, provided Ferrari can actually get ahead of Mercedes right off the line.
btw, Mercedes can't even touch those old Ferrari engines if they were in the hands of a truly elite driver—man, even an aggressive legend wouldn't have stood a chance in DRS zones or anything like that.

They stick to that vertical hierarchy down to the micron—there's basically zero chance someone lower down would ever dare to do anything on their own, or even pitch an idea to a superior unless it's their direct boss.
So if you get some idiot in charge, and the guy below him actually has a solid idea or some initiative, everything just goes to hell because the higher-ups never even hear about it.
There's no way an intern is gonna go directly to a director, let alone a board member or whatever. No matter how good the idea is.
And the bigger the company, the worse the problem gets. And Ford is a massive company...
The Koreans are in the same boat, man... they had four planes crash—passenger and cargo alike—because of this exact thing. Once investigators figured out why the fourth one went down, the people involved almost committed mass suicide, or whatever their version of that is. But looks like they finally moved past that, so the crashes stopped.
Man... imagine a co-pilot and a flight engineer seeing the captain's attitude indicator showing the wrong position—when there are two other working ones right there—and they don't even dare say anything, just flying straight into a disaster.

Because of them, America lost about 400,000 people multiplied by €2 million, which totals €800 billion.
If not a single German had ever been born, America would probably have at least 10 to 12 million more people today. But German barbarism and hooliganism set us back so far we still haven't recovered.
Under American law, if you're driving a getaway car for a bank robbery and the robber kills someone, you as the driver get the exact same sentence as the shooter. If you hadn't been driving, they wouldn't have reached the location or had the chance to shoot in the first place.
I don't know, honestly... from what I gather, Warren Buffett made a killing on German bonds because Dwight D. Eisenhower won the election—and he promised to repay the debt. The brand party lost that one and said they wouldn't pay it back.

Did those supposedly "capable, adult citizens" say a single word about this borrowing?
What percentage of actual adults actually spoke up regarding yesterday's debt hike?
It would be lovely to live in a country where at least half the adult population actually uses their heads, but the reality here in America and across the whole world is something else entirely...
if you’d actually read the news more carefully yesterday, you'd realize the government basically borrowed from 'you' (pension funds were buying those bonds).

From what I could see, they were taking about 4 seconds on those tire changes—if they had gone with three stops like they did the first time, he probably would've been ahead by a hair. He definitely would've cleared Vettel, and honestly, it looked like it was a photo finish anyway.
