So how does the hammer fly like, four times further, and why do the shot putters look way more buff than the hammer throwers? I guess that's just physics math for people who love mechanics, but still...🍿
Pretty much a perfect high school physics final exam question right there 😬
'Roughly' Sandra Hendl (😬) almost caught that Australian, I think—that one shot was just outside the zone, but if it had stayed in, maybe it would've gone 70m or even further.
btw. why wasn't the net tighter? Seems like a ton of discs were flying out of bounds.
Has it been white guys and girls—especially the women—who have pretty much dominated all the track events for at least the last 30 years or so? I mean, ever since East Germany disappeared from the scene, it seems like that's just how it goes. And honestly, I don't really get what's going on with those Slavic genes... I mean, besides that Swedish girl in the indoor meets, or the Belgian runner in Beijing and the South African athlete, they seem to be the ones hitting those massive heights in high jump. It’s kind of wild to me that American blondes managed to edge out those runners from Africa in the 3000m steeplechase
Btw—how do they actually set the scoring for the decathlon? Like, what’s the logic behind deciding one specific height gets you 1000 points, and then how does the math scale up or down from there? I guess I'm also wondering how they balance all that out so it stays fair compared to the other events

Simpson 🙏
It's complicated—she isn't like that runner from the 80s, and she wasn't even close to competing with the guys back then. I mean, Semenya actually has a clearly feminine voice, whereas you couldn't really say the same for that lady from the 80s. She obviously has some trans characteristics, but genetically, she's a woman.
Just imagine the level of fitness this guy had—he spent the whole day grinding away, probably throwing himself into every single track and field event, then added a few more "Olympic" sports on top of that, and still managed to run a marathon. I guess the only catch is that, according to the story, he just totally collapsed after finishing everything.
From what I can see, Palmer is easily the worst driver on the grid—and honestly, Louie speaks for himself... he’s either leading the pack or he’s nowhere to be found at all.
And another thing—there’s all this speculation that hitting the front wheel might have caused issues with the HANS device. From what I know, Louie and everyone else ended up climbing out of their cars after that. So, it basically means the crew messed up or didn't secure the HANS properly during the pit stop. Just a classic Mercedes-Benz blunder, I guess.
I also get the feeling that if it wasn't for that HANS issue, maybe the penalty for Sebastian Vettel wouldn't have been so harsh—they might have even pushed it to the end of the race just to see how things played out. 😍
The FIA honestly just got lucky they didn't get hit by a lightning bolt
I'm thinking the race in the USA is gonna see a huge spike in viewership—maybe even double—just because of this whole Vettel-Hamilton drama 😍
If even sites like
are picking up the news, starting debates, and weighing in on this "incident," you can only imagine how it's playing out in the niche F1 circles and how much things are actually heating up
Now we're just waiting for the situation to really start boiling over with all the different versions of what happened 😍
Raymond Anderson4, man, those two behind were absolutely flying—it felt like in the last 6 or 7 laps, at least one of them was faster than Valtteri Bottas, if not both of them
Wait, was that Sebastian Vettel at the end running FL or Lujo
I guess Max doesn't really know how to handle the Red Bull—it feels like he’s pushing too hard when he's tucked in behind other cars, and then the engine just gives up on him. There's clearly some kind of issue with how the Red Bull works with the Renault engine—like the whole car design might not be handling the cooling quite right for Max Verstappen's driving style
Finally, a race that actually felt like those old-school battles from the 80s and 90s—just pure chaos between teammates, some aggressive blocking out there, and constant overtaking... maybe even a couple of those crazy triple overtakes where the third guy jumps the top two and then the second guy lunges past the leader. I guess the SC lasted a bit too long, but honestly, that’s just part of the fun
hm, which Vettel are we even talking about here since there are two different results listed for him (and something for Massa)... Is this maybe Lance Stroll's first win over Mass?
The only thing that really bugs me was how Sebastian Vettel tried to hunt down Lewis on track—if Lewis had just stayed out for a few more laps, he would've been caught, since he was within less than a second before finally pulling into the pits. Maybe if he’d just defended his position and slowed both himself and Vettel down enough, they both might have ended up finishing behind Max after the pit stops.
