Why wouldn't it be? 😉
Postpartum headaches: What's normal and what's not? in Women's Health ·
Make sure you’re actually drinking enough water, seriously. Dehydration will absolutely wreck you and give you a killer headache 😉

Between this heatwave and all the stress with the little ones... man, there are just so many things that could be triggering it.
Just checking in to say my hair is officially falling out 😢

I am seriously starting to Line. It’s actually crazy. I was feeling so good because my hair got so thick and shiny during my pregnancy...
It’s been just over two months since I gave birth.
Postpartum sciatica: Anyone else dealing with this? in Women's Health ·
Honestly, you might want to just go see a really solid physical therapist to get checked out.
It sounds like you’ve probably got a pinched nerve that needs unblocking, and those pros can usually sort that stuff out in no time. 👍
Check out this absolute gem of a story...

So, I’m at Walmart today, standing in line at the checkout. The place was absolutely slammed—probably because of the holiday tomorrow or something.
I head over to the express lane (you know, where pregnant ladies and people with disabilities usually get priority). I hop in line, and there are about eight people ahead of me...
Then, when we finally get down to the two women right in front of me, one of them actually turns around, looks me dead in the eye, and goes, "Would you mind if my coworker jumps ahead of you?" And then she starts waving her hand and calling her over like it's totally fine... 😲😲😲

Seriously, tell me—who’s the crazy one here??? I just stared at her, rolled my eyes, and stayed quiet (honestly, I was just stunned). I'm thinking, lady, if you had even an ounce of manners, you’d be letting *me* go ahead of *you*. But no, she has the nerve to ask me to let her friend cut the line. 🙂

Just more proof of that legendary "sisterhood" in action. :2up:
Elizabeth Edwards10 said:I call my loved ones "fat" and "chubby," provided they aren't actually overweight. It’s just an affectionate nickname. I have a friend who is nearly 6'7" and weighs less than 165 pounds, yet I still call him "big guy." My visiting nurse from the clinic practically lost it laughing when she realized that was his nickname. If people are genuinely offended, fine, I can stop—but I don't see the issue. Pregnant women are naturally round, and I certainly didn't feel insulted when people commented on how huge I looked. There's no malice intended. Besides, I won't stay this size forever.

It's a totally different story if someone is constantly hitting you with that, even if they claim it's out of love...
But let's be real—people who have never once asked you, "Hey, have you put on weight?" aren't exactly being "affectionate"...
It's just like those people who go, "Oh my god, you've gotten sooo biggg!!"
Yeah, no kidding, I'm pregnant. What's your excuse for being a jerk??? ☕
Ethan King75 said:My nerves were absolutely shot today at the OB-GYN clinic. A bunch of husbands and partners just sitting there comfortably while a crowd of pregnant women are forced to stand...

Yeah, I noticed the exact same thing during my last checkup at the hospital 😠
The waiting room was like 150 degrees, you wait forever to be seen, and the pregnant ladies are just standing there...
As long as those guys get to sit down and relax, right? 👎...
spitfire said:honestly, I couldn't care less about all the complaining or whatever else is going on, I don't even hear them, I've always just got my music blasting in my ears... I just move forward (except when I'm at the grocery store, I've never really run into a massive line there anyway)

I’m way too high-strung for that; I’d end up getting into an argument immediately..
so I'd rather just wait until it's my turn—then I'll go.
Look, I’m telling you, it’s officially confirmed by pretty much everyone I talk to—people can be incredibly selfish, inconsiderate, and just plain cold 😠

It’s honestly such a rarity to have someone actually let you cut ahead in line. Most people just look away, pretend they didn't see anything, or try to make some lame excuse to justify it 🙄
I’ve only had two instances where someone was actually decent enough to step aside for me—once on a crowded subway car and once at the grocery store checkout (where pregnant women usually get priority)

Whenever I'm at the register, people always whisper, "Why don't you just go ahead? You have priority," but honestly, I just don't have the energy to deal with a group of people starting to grumble and pick a fight over it...
Maybe we’re the ones in the wrong here. Maybe we should just take our rights every single time and let people say whatever they want
Man, I wish my parents had raised me to be a bit more assertive about stuff like that..
Olivia Brown7 said:I had a similar experience during my second month of pregnancy. I didn't even have a bump yet, just pure exhaustion. I could barely keep my eyes open, let alone lug two heavy bags of supplies to the hospital for my husband (who always seems to pick the worst times to get sick...). Naturally, I sat down on the subway.
Then this lady on crutches gets on. I stand up for her, and some other jerk starts snapping at me, asking how I could possibly have the nerve to sit during rush hour when there are elderly people around.
Since I was getting off at the next stop, I didn't bother arguing, though honestly, she really deserved a slap across the face.

I'm much further along now, but I don't see anyone—from toddlers to guys who look like they belong in a gym—getting a pass to sit while I’m stuck standing.

Honestly, those first few weeks are the absolute worst (at least they were for me).
The hardest part is that nobody can tell you're pregnant, so people just don't get it. They act like you're fine when you're clearly struggling. And if you actually try to sit down, you'll get those judgmental looks from people who think you're just being lazy. 🙄

One time, around three months in, I got so dizzy and lightheaded I actually had to step outside just to catch my breath and clear my head. I genuinely thought I was going to pass out right there.
hollowmarlin49 said:Honestly, you have a point about not minding standing, but those subways can jerk stop so fast, or some idiot might accidentally slam into your stomach... better safe than sorry. Some huge guy with a backpack smacked me right in the gut the other day, so if you can grab a seat, just do it...☕

I'm with you on this. 👍
If a pregnant woman can't find a single seat on an entire subway or bus, then the whole system is broken...
I've got that same fear too—getting shoved, bumped, or just wiped out when the driver hits the brakes suddenly. 😲
Ethan King75 said:I completely lost my cool yesterday. I was sitting on the bus, riding from the Potomac area toward downtown, when this guy—couldn't have been more than 50—marches right up to me and shoves an ID in my face.
My first instinct was to reach for my purse, thinking it was some transit officer, but then I saw it: a disability card.
I told him, "Sorry, I've got an ID too." He goes, "Oh yeah? Where is it?" So I just pointed to my stomach.
The woman sitting next to me bolts upright, and this guy just sits there and starts yelling, "Since when aren't pregnant women allowed to sit?!" 🙄
I told him to go screw himself.
It was a massive crowd, mostly women around me, and they immediately started tearing him apart for being such a jerk to a pregnant lady. He just kept arguing with them. 🤣

Look, I don't mind standing up. A blind person boarded a few stops back and I was ready to give up my seat immediately, though his companion told me not to bother since we were only one stop away.

I would've stood up for him too, if he hadn't shoved that pathetic little cardboard card without even a photo right under my nose. Honestly, once I heard him insulting everyone around him, I was actually glad I stayed seated. What an idiot.

It really just shows how some people have zero shame and absolutely no respect left. 👎

Like, out of all the people sitting there, why did he have to target you specifically??? 😲

Honestly, with an attitude like that, I wouldn't have stood up for him even if he had the most legitimate reason in the world.
Having an invalid status doesn't give you a pass to be a complete moron. 🙄
Jacob Castillo60 said:I don't really mind other people being around, but I absolutely cannot stand anyone touching my stomach area!

Plus, my skin has become incredibly dry lately, and no matter what I try, nothing seems to work quite right; I actually tried mixing some raw shea butter with almond oil myself to keep things completely natural, but honestly, it’s only providing temporary relief, because even as I'm typing this, the skin on my hands feels so tight it's like I'm wearing gloves that are several sizes too small!!

And to be honest, I'm feeling pretty anxious because after having one spontaneous miscarriage, I find that every single time I experience any spotting now, I can barely muster the courage to actually check what color it is!!

Anthony Johnson2 said:Dry as a bone—and the fact that I just can't seem to eat anything right now, which is honestly driving me up the wall...

Honestly, my skin has never felt better or softer than it does right now during this pregnancy.🤷
I guess I'm one of those lucky few when it comes to that... it's seriously soft, like a baby's bottom.😍

And I actually don't mind at all when people touch my belly. 😍
Actually, I kind of love it.
But people always ask if it's okay first, which is nice. It's rare to find someone who just reaches out without asking...
Honestly, my hormones have been the biggest curveball of this whole experience—and they’re still throwing me for loops.

I feel like I’m losing my mind sometimes with the constant crying fits and mood swings... one minute I’m on top of the world, and the next, it feels like everything is falling apart. 🙄
I think my husband is reaching his breaking point with me. Seriously, I don't think I've ever cried this much in my entire life. Everything hits me so hard right now, and there's just nothing I can do to stop it.

That’s definitely the wildest part of being pregnant. Everything else has been pretty great so far. 🙏
I just really hope it stays that way until the baby arrives.

Most people's comments or opinions about my pregnancy don't even phase me anymore. ☕
Well, except for when I'm out at the grocery store or riding the subway... people get so aggressive if you don't let them cut in line, even if you look like you're about to pass out. 🙂

Even though I had some treats from Emma at the wedding a few days ago (which, by the way, were killer), I actually swung by Sugarland the other day.

Ladies, let me tell you, it’s pure magic 🙂 I tried the Ice Wind cake, a four-layer chocolate one, and a cheesecake. Honestly? Total perfection. They’re a bit on the pricey side (I think it's like $40) per pound, but they are absolutely phenomenal.

darkcrane said:Why did Emma hike up her prices so much? 😢 When my friend got married, they were only about 60 dollars $23. Tanya actually received them and then paid them back later. It wasn't even an issue then. 🤷 I was considering ordering some for dessert, but now the cost seems a bit excessive...🤷

You get the trays and just bring them back... you only pay if you lose them or decide to keep them $3.25/piece. Personally, I thought their treats were 🙂... everyone has different tastes, I guess 😁
Don't be lazy though... I actually just called them up and the lady said it's $27/lb if they pack everything in transport boxes, or $30/lb if they arrange them on the trays (which you return). That's the price for over 30lbs of dessert.
It felt a little weird to me that they bumped the prices up that much.. there you go.

We had it. Em So, at this wedding, everyone was raving about the food. Honestly, I’m officially making a regular trip to their place just for the desserts now. We even ordered a cake for one of our anniversaries recently—it actually caught fire! Seriously, the thing literally went up in flames. 😁
I highly recommend it!

Andrew Young11 said:What’s the price per pound for the cookies and cake?

Usually, they set them up on trays at about half a pound each, which puts the price at $30/lb. If you're DIY-ing it or hiring a local catering crew, you're looking at maybe $27/lb.
As for cake, I think it's roughly $4.00 per slice (for our group of 100 people, we ended up paying about 1 $67), but honestly, it just depends on what kind of stuff you pick out..

I've received a few suggestions.

If you had to choose from this list, which would it be?

Emma's Bakery
M&M's Bakery
Tom & Anne's Suburban Chicago shop
Sweetheart Bakery

🤷

Help me out........... 😕

Does anyone have any insight into which ones are actually good and which aren't...

They ended up grabbing stuff from Emma too. They tried them and were totally obsessed! Plus, their prices are pretty standard.

Ladies, I am officially obsessed with Emma!
After we sat down and tried their pastries, 😛 the whole family was in total agreement—we are hooked 🙂!
Ugh, one less thing to worry about, honestly 🙂
