Hey, feralharbor89, I hope you aren't counting those years as a literal sentence, right?
My dad passed away because he just ran out of steam from being so exhausted, but honestly, I wouldn't say anything definitive to you since it might not mean the same thing in your case.

I guess you just have to stay optimistic, because I really think your headspace and your willpower matter more than people admit.
Let me know once your lab results come in, and hang in there!!
Emily Fox15 said:I’m really hoping someone here (maybe someone who’s already dealt with what I’m going through with my mom) can help me out with their own experience, because I honestly don't know if I'm making the right calls. My mom is visibly getting weaker every single day—she’s less mobile, eating less, and she spends most of her time sleeping. I guess it’s just easier for her that way. But when she does wake up, she’s often disoriented, sometimes just rambling nonsense. When I ask her if she wants anything, her go-to answer is usually "I don't know." The hardest part of all this is that she’s asked me several times to take her somewhere—to a hospital, another doctor, whatever—just so she can get help, because she thinks she’s going to die otherwise. I just can't bring myself to crush that last little shred of hope and tell her that hospitals don't really want patients in her condition. On the flip side, it's so hard to look her in the eye and lie to her saying she’ll get better when I know deep down that even she kind of realizes it won't. I feel incredibly helpless and just plain sad because I don't know how to make things easier for her or actually help. It’s not that doing things for her is hard, it’s just that it feels like such a tiny amount compared to what she needs!
She has an appointment scheduled for Saturday, October 24th (her first one since the surgery) with the oncologist. I know the appointment probably doesn't make much sense anymore, and I have no clue how the doctor would even react seeing her in this state, but maybe it would make her feel better just knowing that *something* is being done about her situation.
Please, please share your experiences.
- How do I respond without hurting her or making her miserable?
- Is there any point in putting her through the drive to the oncologist, or is it pointless?

That's tomorrow.
You should definitely take her, even if they probably won't admit her.

And just be by her side as much as you possibly can. Mostly for her sake, but honestly, later on, it's for yours too, because you'll see once the talking is over 😢.....you'll feel better knowing you gave it everything you had.
Every single minute counts during days like these.

Look, honey, I honestly think that might be the biggest mistake you could possibly make right now. It’s basically like shooting yourself in the brain.
Simoncini is just a liar, a fraud, and a bottom-tier scumbag. He was actually kicked out of the medical board for fraud and murder.
Anyone who reaches out to you suggesting something like this is just as bad as Simoncini himself. It’s a straight-up attempted murder.
There is an entire topic about sodium bicarbonate and the whole delusion, which was laid out super clearly by Vanda, a scientist who also dealt with cancer.
I get that you’re desperate to do something, I really do, but this is totally irrational and isn't going to help you. Honestly, it’ll probably just mess everything up and could kill you, especially if some other con artist tries to talk you into this madness.

Reading stuff like that is just gut-wrenching, but I guess when people feel backed into a corner and don't have real answers, they'll try anything—it’s enough to drive you crazy.

I don't have any big new breakthroughs to share with you all, I just wanted to say, based on my own experience, to everyone here who is going through what I went through,
please stay as close to your loved ones as you can.
When I think back to how much it meant to my dad that I was only ten minutes late once when we had plans to see him, it just brings tears to my eyes.
For him, those ten minutes were everything for ten years.
How does a man decide to become an OB-GYN? in Women's Health ·
Kimberly Flores56 said:I mean, I’ve wondered about that too. Especially one time when I went to see this old geezer of a doctor. Since it was my first time seeing a male gynecologist, I was pretty tense, so he just couldn't get anything to work right. Then the crazy guy starts massaging and caressing me, and I totally lost it. That was the shocker. And then he had the nerve to give me compliments about how my uterus looks like a rose and how my organs are all perfectly arranged.

I'm speechless!!
I honestly don't know how I would've reacted if I went in for a checkup and the guy started touching me like that 😕 😕
And those comments... just gross. 🙂

Anyway, whenever I have the choice, I just go to a female OB-GYN because it seems more logical to me. I don't really have much to say about why men choose gynecology—I guess it's just a job like any other, and they pick their specialty just like anyone else would.☕
Breast shape discussion in Women's Health ·
crimsoneagle50 said:I’ve been scouring the forums looking for some kind of answer but honestly, I haven't found anything useful, so I figured I'd just ask here. So, I have pretty large breasts—like 24D, which I actually wish were smaller—but the weird thing is my nipples don't really react unless I'm cold. And even then, it's inconsistent; one nipple will harden up and look totally normal while the other one just kind of shrinks inward instead of popping out 😠. I never really gave it a second thought before because it wasn't an issue, but lately, it's been bugging me 😕🤷😕

Nipples reacting to things like the temperature or getting turned on...
I don't really get why that's a problem for you,
but honestly, the shape changes depending on where you are in your cycle, just like it does for any woman.
Look, I’m not some pushover when it comes to men, but after taking a few hits—including one really nasty breakup that totally wrecked me—it definitely left its mark, I guess. It made me way more guarded and cautious than I used to be.
I’ve always been pretty independent and, honestly, kind of a difficult person to deal with, which probably just makes everything even more complicated,
but I don't really see it as an issue anymore. This whole setup isn't some heavy burden for me, because despite all the mess, I'm actually happy.😍

I've finally found this sense of peace that I just never had before.
As for what happens tomorrow? Who knows, I'm really not losing any sleep over it.
So I took a One Step quick test last night, just one day after my period was supposed to start.
It came back negative.

Has anyone actually dealt with the opposite happening? I guess I’ll probably just try testing again in a few days if my period doesn't show up.
Is this a scam??? in Psychology ·
you're seriously overreacting, honestly. I used to be just like you, but I guess I've learned my lesson over the years, so maybe you will too...
I mean, I used to cry about stuff like this all the time, but now it all seems pretty ridiculous to me. Don't stress out over nothing.
