I just can't bring myself to get angry at anyone in Psychology & Therapy ·

My dear friends... Have you ever found yourselves in a position where you simply can't bring yourselves to hold a grudge? Where you realize certain people have treated you quite poorly, yet you feel no anger toward them whatsoever... No resentment, no bitterness... just nothing.
I am curious to know how healthy that actually is... and if it's even a good thing at all...??

Well, if that's how you roll, good for you. Really.
Me? I'm constantly fuming—just stewing and getting worked up and basically driving myself insane over things.
Maybe you just don't get too attached to people in the first place—so when someone acts out or says something nasty, you don't let it sink in.
Honestly, you're living the dream. Serious.
Suicide can never be justified.
I get it—things are incredibly tough right now, and I know you’re staring down a mountain of massive changes and likely a whole lot of disappointment—but taking your own life? Especially when there are so many people out there who never even got a fair shot at starting a life in the first place? It just doesn't sit right with me.
My take is that you should try to find a way to live as well as possible with whatever you've been given, regardless of what kind of health struggles you're dealing with...
It’s actually precisely in those kinds of moments where you finally start to appreciate what you actually have...
Good luck.🙂

Basically, my sense of direction is absolute garbage. Like, zero orientation skills. For example, the other day I went over to a buddy's place for the first time—we were all together, five of us—and even though we found his apartment just fine, two days later when I had to head back, I completely blanked on how to get there.
It happens all the time. We’ll go on a road trip to another city, and then it’s my turn to drive us home, but I just can't wrap my head around the route we took. I can't remember a single turn, so I usually just try to dodge those situations entirely to avoid the embarrassment.

Does this thing actually have a name? And how do people deal with it? Honestly, it's driving me crazy because every time I go somewhere new, I end up wandering around lost, asking for directions, looking like an idiot... It might sound funny to some of you, but trust me, it's not funny to me. Thanks.

Same exact thing happens to me😢
Learn from your parents or...? in Psychology ·
And honestly, it’s totally doable. I’ve used my own family as a blueprint—knowing exactly what I want out of life, what I don't, and the kind of person I’m aiming to become versus the version of myself I definitely want to avoid.
The good and the bad traits my parents carry have all left their mark on me, for better or worse.
But since there’s way more good than bad in the mix, I’m hoping that one day I might at least be a solid 1/5th of the people they are...

That one album, Glory to the Grind !!!, was actually pretty killer and intense too.

I'm with you on that. 👍
What's the point? It's all meaningless. in Psychology & Therapy ·

But look, having that realization doesn't change the current reality; it just proves you finally see exactly where you stand. From here, you either start moving—either by playing along with the "rules of the game" or by checking out entirely. There's really no middle ground once you see it clearly. We basically signed up for the first option by default, and if we choose the second, there's no debate about it—it's a done deal. But if we've accepted the first, then the choice is between just drifting through this lethargy or actually taking charge and building a life that serves your own interests. Most people just live their lives according to what their parents or society wants, but since you've "opened your eyes," it's only a matter of time before you take the reins and paint your own canvas, even if that involves dealing with these bouts of nihilism.

👍 I am 100% on board with this.
If everyone just gave in to the idea that nothing matters, where would we even be? We'd have absolutely nothing to keep us going—nothing to actually make life feel worth living...
Fight those thoughts off and, like this guy so perfectly put it, paint that damn canvas however you see fit. It's a choice we all have—it's really just down to who actually puts in the work and who just lets things happen to them.
Don't let that kind of nihilism drag you down... life is massive, and honestly, what you choose to do with it can be just as huge. Just keep the faith and keep pushing. 😉
