So, even young Harimoto took a bit of a hit today, which was honestly kind of unexpected. I actually really enjoyed watching that match, though—lots of backhand versus backhand rallies going on, and man, his service game was just lethal today. Tomorrow is looking like it's gonna be absolutely stacked with elite matchups, too.
So, there's this massive tournament kicking off tomorrow over in Macau, and honestly, the lineup is absolutely stacked with all the heavy hitters. I think we've even got Ortraga in the draw too, which is pretty cool.
The Chinese side dropped their first point today—Harimoto managed to take one off Wang Chuqin, which was wild. Also, I guess it’s pretty interesting that they only gave Ma Long a single match to play today.
The Chinese guys in both brackets still haven't dropped a single point, though I guess they were sweating it a little against Sweden today. Still, they're sitting pretty at 3/0. They've got that big double header against Japan tomorrow... honestly, you gotta wonder if it's finally time for them to drop a set.
The real question is just who’s going to drop a point to the Chinese side, even if it's just 😁. These Portuguese players aren't actually bad, but they just seemed to lose focus, kind of like how the Indian guys were playing today.
Honestly, if we end up facing the French or the English instead of the Germans, I guess it might actually work out in our favor. Maybe we'll just get lucky for once.

I haven't actually tried that yet, but I just gave it a shot and my mouse is totally fine—it isn't unplugging or anything. It feels like maybe it’s some weird setting tied to the cameras or something similar? Since both cameras keep disconnecting but the mouse stays steady, I guess that's a clue.
Hey guys, so I’ve been using this webcam for Zoom lately, and I’ve run into this super annoying issue out of nowhere. Everything works totally fine at first, but the second I nudge my laptop even a tiny bit to the side, the camera just... disconnects. I get that classic Windows "USB unplugged" sound, and then everything just dies. I actually have to restart the whole thing just to get it working again. I honestly thought maybe my old camera was just dying, so I went ahead and bought a brand new one, but nope—same exact problem. It turns out it wasn't the hardware at all. I've tried plugging it into both of my USB ports, and it happens on both of them. It’s weird because the camera itself seems perfectly fine; as soon as I plug it in, it’s recognized immediately without any drama. But the moment there's even a little movement with the laptop, it unplugs 🤔 . Any idea what could be causing this kind of glitch? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the heads-up, I'll definitely check that out soon. Honestly, the last time I really sat down to watch any table tennis was during the Olympics, and man, that final was absolutely wild.
My question is: How can I be a good person without getting walked all over? People have taken advantage of my kindness and naivety way too many times.
The last time it happened was just a few months ago.
I was living in a small rental apartment. There was this older janitor in the building (he had some special needs). He was a great guy, seriously, he always helped me out, wasn't making much money, and lived in this run-down little shack. Anyway, I suddenly had a death in the family and ended up moving into a much bigger place. Since the old place was furnished, I told my former landlord he could give my stuff (TV, fridge, bed) to the janitor.
A few days ago, I called my old landlord because a coworker needed a place to crash for a couple of nights. Not only did he charge her an insane amount ( $333 for just 3 days, when I used to pay $200 plus utilities), but he actually sold all my stuff and didn't give a single thing to the janitor...
There have been plenty of other times where I've been used and ripped off.
What I want to know is, how do you carry yourself in life so things like this don't happen? I'm the type of person who would give someone the shirt off my back to help them through a hard time, but I almost always end up getting played.

I’d say the big mistake a lot of people make is assuming everyone else operates on the same moral compass they do. I guess that's what happened with the landlord.🤷 Maybe the best way is to still do good things, but you've gotta be careful, I suppose. A ton of people will act like total saints and the nicest people ever, right up until they find some way to use you—whether it's for money, emotional support, or whatever else.
