If you’re dealing with health issues, your primary care physician is required to refer you to a specialist if they can't handle the diagnosis themselves.
It's not just about getting a referral—you need to change how
works. And while you're at it, go ahead and file a formal complaint.

I honestly don't get how people just brush these things off
or how parents can let it slide when everyone is saying doctors aren't issuing necessary referrals anymore.

They really ought to just use a search engine! 😬
Daily water intake: Let's discuss in Health ·
Well, here's what I need:
I'm totally parched 😁
Honestly, I'd give anything for a drink right now

I've always been a big drinker
But just plain old ice-cold water for me

coppergardener said:My mom barely drinks a single glass of water a day, then she wonders why her head is pounding! Not to mention how dry and wrinkled her skin has gotten lately...

I easily knock back about 4 liters a day, sometimes even more
but my head still hurts almost every single day—it’s pretty much constant
and my skin feels super dry and is starting to show some fine lines too 😁

Hey
why is our little fishy feeling so cranky today? 😬

I've definitely been there 😁
brisktinker15 said:For example, my partner can't even fall asleep without a massive bottle of water right by the bed, which they basically finish before morning. They’re always thirsty, too, which drives me crazy when we're out doing stuff because they start rushing me since they're "thirsty as a desert dog." 😬

But I don't think you should force yourself to chug water if you don't want to.
plus, drinking tons of it won't magically make you skinny—I'm living proof! 😁

Yeah, 🙄
but do you have any idea which one to aim for out of all those possibilities?

On the subject of temperature
I’ve actually mentioned this here before, but I went through a stretch where my temp would hover right around 99°F
After running every test under the sun, my doctor basically told me it was just "stress-induced fever"🤣
To be honest, I wasn't exactly having the best time in my life back then
Maybe you're dealing with something similar
The worst part for me was how much even a tiny spike would just drain my energy, especially since I had to push through it day after day for quite a while
Once things finally settled down and I found some peace, my temperature leveled out too
Alexander Lewis, everyone here already knows what you're worried about, so please don't ruin this thread by being dismissive of people doing such noble work
If you can't find it in yourself to be supportive, that’s really on you
I just hope you keep that mindset in mind for when you might need a helping hand yourself

Angela Wright said:someone might be allergic to milk and dairy products

And honestly, an allergy test won't always catch that.

Since you brought it up, I feel so much better when I cut out dairy and grains for about three weeks at a time.
I have my own little diagnosis, though, so according to some people, I shouldn't even be eating certain things!
By "feeling better," I mean I just have way more energy.

They have a really great reputation
though I honestly can't imagine much going wrong with those kinds of tests

I’m not so sure blood tests alone will give you all the answers you're looking for,
just try searching for a local biochemistry lab near where you live and see what pops up!

Angela Bailey30 said:I'm not entirely sure about seeing a primary care physician. Usually, they just do a quick finger prick for the glucose meter, read it in seconds, and then hand you a referral if it's actually necessary. Also, if you're booking through an independent lab, twenty bucks seems steep. Where on earth are you going?

In places where 16-year-olds don't have to pay for stuff like that the same way they do here in the States!😉
Thomas Ortiz10 said:So, does sweating—like, actually dripping sweat—actually melt away body fat?

Yep!
She’s doing it all for the aesthetics! 😁

Honestly, I think I would have passed out during that treatment—I started my first day today and felt the effects immediately! 😬
Thomas Ortiz10 said:I was just wondering—what kind of creams are we talking about here? Like, specifically for skin tightening, or is there some other type meant for this issue? Right now I’m just using baby oil, so I'm totally in the dark...

I actually thought of you yesterday while I was working out on the elliptical (honestly, parents can be such nightmares sometimes, always breaking the equipment in our gym!)

So, here's the deal 😁
one of my old coworkers managed to fix up her postpartum belly and those cellulite thighs using a super "simple" 😬 method
Every single night, she would take those areas (which were definitely... let's call them "soft and jiggly"—if you want me to be polite 😁 ) and slather them in a basic cream, like that classic blue Nivea tin. Then, she'd wrap herself tightly in clear plastic kitchen wrap, pull on some leggings, throw something thick over that, and run around on the elliptical for about thirty minutes, all sweaty and bundled up
The results were honestly amazing
So, if you're feeling motivated... go for it! 😁
You've got the recipe now

Michelle Roberts7 said:If you put on a little weight or get pregnant, you're definitely looking at jumping up 2 or 3 bra sizes...

😬

I wouldn't really recommend that as a way to go about it
since everything just ends up going back to how it was anyway! 😬
Amy Jones20 said:I’m honestly stuck on what to do next. I feel kind of silly calling my doctor again since my labs were perfectly fine just last month, so I can't help but think something might be brewing in my system—but surely that would have shown up on the tests already...

It’s not silly at all, give them a call!
It really depends on which specific tests you had done; it's totally possible for something to be "brewing" without showing up on those results yet.

My own experiences have been great (knock on wood!), but please keep in mind that everyone's body reacts differently, so my results don't guarantee yours will be the same.
Has anyone seen Dr. Bečejac? in Health ·
Is he an older gentleman?
I actually visited a vineyard specialist, Dr. Bečejac, about five years ago.
To be honest, I found him a bit underwhelming.
He didn't do much for me, but hey, at least he didn't make things worse!😁
