My feet get absolutely freezing it’s actually painful so I usually just throw on some socks so I can finally drift off but honestly, I always end up kicking them off in my sleep now, during the summer, I find myself putting them on sometimes too I have these special sleeping socks—just old, white, stretchy athletic ones I grabbed from my husband's drawer 😍
My blood pressure has been bottoming out at 90/58 lately.😬 My heart rate is usually bouncing between 85 and 115, too. Back when I was younger, I used to pass out quite a bit, but honestly, I’ve learned how to manage it over the years—maybe there’s actually some silver lining to getting older!😁
As for doctors who won't give you the referrals you need or just don't care about your wellbeing, my advice is to take it to the hospital administrator. Stand up for yourself and your rights, or just find a new doctor who actually gives a damn.
I was just sitting here feeling a bit nostalgic 😁 Why can't we find a mix like Donna's or maybe something with Barack Obama and... I think it was apple?
That's just old-school rural thinking for people in Austria 😬 I mean, what do I know? But a whole crowd is probably heading down toward Graz in their Sunday best 🤷 Grabbing a little flask along the way shouldn't be much of an issue, right?
If any of you ladies are heading out shopping at the mall, grab some there—they definitely have plenty in stock Honestly, those syrups are pretty pricey, so they don't sell quite as fast as you'd think
Daniel Lopez said:I think you're out of luck with the elderberry for this year. 😢 There was hardly any to be found Last weekend... For next year, maybe make a note to check around May. 😁 🙂
Over in my part of West New York, they were in full bloom just over two weeks ago It's pretty much finished now Though you might still find a nice bush out in the sticks on some northern slope I actually drove right through an acacia grove recently And man, they were beautiful—just perfectly in season, probably heading towards the end of their run in a few days
The rules have actually changed since the start of the year! Where I used to go to Order, I now have to show up in person with my referral They take the referral back, and then you bring that same one to your appointment. Apparently, it serves as official proof that people are ordering things for actual needs, which is supposedly how they managed to shorten those long waiting lists🤷 The expiration dates on referrals vary, too. I asked about surgery specifically because of the wait times, and since mine was issued late last year, they told me it’s valid for two years🤷
placidheron24, Why don't you just stick to alternative cancer treatments instead? I honestly don't get what you get out of constantly bothering everyone in this group by acting like you're "opening their eyes." People aren't stupid, for God's sake!
My husband snores incessantly... we've tried him sleeping on his back, his side—it doesn't matter—he just won't stop..
I’m waking up multiple times a night, practically shaking him awake.. begging him to just stop, but it's the same thing over and over...
Is there any way to fix this? What actually triggers that snoring reflex? 🤷
There definitely is! Just go sleep in a different room.😁
Luckily for me, I don't snore at all! But my old man? He doesn't just snore—he practically bellows. It's been like that forever. He's actually underweight, and after several doctor visits, they gave him a 5 🤷 score suggesting surgery might help, but those things are just temporary fixes before everything goes back to how it was. My mom ends up sleeping on the far side of the house, with about four doors between us!😁 😁
ambermason16, 1. You should really head over to an eye doctor—maybe one of those high-end places like LensCrafters—and get a full exam done. Just checking your prescription isn't quite the whole story. 2. Honestly, what you're feeling is totally normal! It happens to almost everyone because your eyes have to adjust to the lenses. They get a little "spoiled" by the new vision, and sometimes things feel slightly off right after you get your first pair. Don't worry, though; it’s definitely not going to spiral into a massive prescription overnight!
Just checking back in to give you an update... I went to the dentist for some X-rays to see if my teeth had anything to do with all this, but everything looks fine. No inflammation or granulomas to speak of.
Things have definitely taken a turn for the worse lately. Both ears feel completely plugged, my head is pounding, and I've got this cough (mostly in the mornings). My nose is either running constantly or totally blocked, and I just feel wiped out and exhausted... 😢
I haven't had a fever at all, nor have I had one since this whole thing started.
What should I ask when I see my doctor on Monday? What should I push for so I can get this sorted out quickly?
Any advice would be appreciated...
Honestly, you should just take Ivanna’s advice! First, try using some saline nasal spray tonight—it really helps clear things up and makes breathing easier. Then tomorrow, head straight to the ER and tell them you feel absolutely terrible. Like, totally miserable! If you exaggerate just a little bit, they'll run all those tests so you can finally get some real answers. If you play it that way with your doctor on Monday, then boom, suddenly you'll be stuck in follow-up appointments for weeks!
You can switch once a year just because you feel like it! If you’re looking to change before that year is up, you'll just need to submit a formal request explaining your reasons.
Otherwise, if you're dealing with those "miracle worker" doctors, having a quick chat with the hospital director usually does the trick. 😬 And honestly, why have you been struggling with this for ten years now?
They told me to swing by about 7 days later—though 10 days might be better—after I stop taking all my allergy meds and hay fever stuff, just based on what they saw I was using
It’s probably best if you give them a quick call right now to get everything scheduled
crimsonbear66 said:Hi there... So, I headed over to the clinic today and spent quite a while chatting with my doctor about everything. She actually felt the swelling under my eye and sent me for a sinus X-ray because of the pain... Apparently, she found the same thing in my medical records from an imaging scan seven years ago too... Polyp in my right sinus... So, I just got my new results back—not the old ones, the recent ones. It says there's edematous swelling in the lining of both maxillary sinuses and a deviated septum leaning to the left... though I have no clue what "leaning to the left with Christ" is supposed to mean. It also mentions hypertrophy in the lower respiratory system lining. Interestingly enough, that polyp I had actually vanished on its own... it’s just gone now. The doctor put me on Tafen and Belodin and sent me for allergy testing. She didn't tell me I needed to go right away, so I haven't yet. I'm wondering if it's okay to take the Belodin while doing the tests, or if I should finish the meds first? She did say to hold off on the audiogram for now, since she thinks dealing with this is the priority...
Man, I think I'm going to lose my mind. Honestly, I've never been the best patient... 😢
I actually have to head in for allergy testing myself (probably for the 50th time in my life! 🙄)) The doctors told me I need to be off all medication for at least a week beforehand. At the local community health clinic, they don't really make you book an appointment; you just show up with your referral and they fit you in. It’s probably best to give them a quick call and try to swing by today or tomorrow!
If you look at the news reports—just do a quick Google search—this specific program targets 7th-grade girls coming from low-income families or military families. The rest of women are expected to pay for the vaccine themselves .
So, even if your daughter lived right here in Washington, D.C., and came from one of those qualifying families, she actually wouldn't qualify for the program because she's already too old.
As for why just Washington, D.C.? It's because the initiative is funded by the local municipal budget, which is built on the local sales taxes paid by the residents here. Nobody is stopping other cities from starting their own programs if they want to 🤷, so why not start one in your own hometown? That local tax money doesn't go to some big central government office; it stays right here in the local treasury where it belongs.😬
In general: The vaccine protects against types 6, 11, 16, and 18. But let's be real, there is absolutely no such thing as 100% permanent protection.

Dr. Podobnik I’ve actually seen her myself! I know quite a few people who have gone to her too, and everyone is super happy—from her expertise to how she treats you. I'm not sure about insurance cards, but you'll definitely get an itemized receipt without having to ask. Check online; she has an office over at her husband's hospital, which is basically that top-tier private maternity center.
