Most people fall into this category, though you can break them down further. They’re far more pathetic than those who simply lacked the guts to chase their dreams or live by any real principles—even if they knew they were failing. There's also the group that never had any ideals at all, or worse, pursued goals that were completely hollow and meaningless.
