I actually broke a sweat—more than I have during some horror genre flicks, honestly...
Breathtaking scenes
I honestly thought I was the only one feeling that way. 😁
I recently launched my own blogging hub and started playing around with the layout. I managed to set up some pages that show up in a horizontal menu on my homepage, but now I’m hitting a bit of a wall. I can't figure out how to make a specific post appear within a certain themed page rather than just sitting on the main landing page.
To be more specific: if I write a post about my background, how can I ensure it shows up under my "About Me" section? I want it to live there specifically, instead of just being another entry on the homepage. Any tips on how to handle this? Thanks for the help!

But then again, I suppose it makes sense that these issues pop up; it almost feels weird if they *didn't* happen to someone. I mean, when you're actually sitting across from someone in person, you have that direct, face-to-face connection—which, let's be real, leaves way less room for things to get totally misread.
🤣 I know exactly what you mean. I dread handling work matters over mobile phones because I hate spending five minutes clarifying a single poorly phrased sentence. 🙄 That’s why, when it comes to business, I mostly use my mobile phone just to set up an in-person meeting. For anything else, I'm perfectly fine with it. 😁

They say we're living in the golden age of television—you know, those endless arguments about how the popularity, cultural impact, and even the artistic merit of TV series have finally overtaken cinema. The idea being that movies are becoming passé while series define our zeitgeist.
Do you actually buy that?
Why do you think things shifted this way?
Forget the objective truth for a second—what’s your personal preference?
Let's see if we can dig up some answers to these questions...
(It probably makes sense to open an identical thread over on the Series subforum, though I'm not sure if we can have the exact same topic in two places—I'll just start both and let the moderators sort it out 😉 )
I don't really have the bandwidth to keep up with series, especially serialized ones, so I usually opt for a movie instead. Sure, I'll always carve out time for one or two favorites, but I don't lose any sleep if I miss a few episodes. ☕

Some "alien" thing lurking under the sea. 🎉
An "alien" under the sea. 🎉[/I]
I watched it. It didn't quite land for me. That said, it’s perfectly watchable if you don't mind spending 95 minutes of your life on it; you might even stumble upon one or two interesting moments worth seeing. They aren't exactly popping up left and right, though.
I’m facing a massive crisis! Since last year, my apartment and my whole family have been under siege by a relentless new strain of common mosquitoes (Culex pipiens molestus). If you think your standard backyard mosquitoes are bad, think again. These things are absolute monsters! 😠 Unlike their cousins, these mosquitoes don't hibernate during the winter, which means they stay active all year round. They don't even care about the day-night cycle—they are basically active 24 hours a day! To make matters worse, they aren't just biting us year-round; they are doing it non-stop. It feels like we're getting hit five or six times a second, every single minute. It’s becoming unbearable!
Standard bug sprays and insecticides don't seem to touch them, so I'm feeling pretty helpless here.
The sleep deprivation is really starting to take a toll on my family; everyone is exhausted, cranky, and we just can't handle the constant buzzing and stinging anymore. What should I do? Has anyone else dealt with something this intense, and what were your solutions? Does anyone know more about this specific breed? I've heard people refer to them as subterranean mosquitoes. For context, I live in a coastal city in California. Please help! thanks
I’ve never actually played Resident Evil, though I have sat through all three movies. The first one was decent enough, but the sequels were total train wrecks. I just finished watching this animated feature RE: Degeneration today. Honestly? It’s impressive to see such high-end computer animation, but the story itself doesn't really go anywhere. It isn't terrible, per se, and I'll give it credit for not dragging on past the ninety-minute mark. 😁
To watch it or not? That's the million-dollar question right now. 🤣 It feels like the reviews are leaning more toward the positive side. Hopefully, that's a good sign. 🤔

What kind of emperor are you talking about? 🤣
More like forty thousand, but you get my point. 😁 😉
I am fully behind the Native American cause. 👍 However, I have to be honest—their vision feels purely utopian. There isn't even a theoretical path toward seceding from the USA. They simply lack the military might and the economic leverage required for such a feat, not to mention being vastly outnumbered.
Furthermore, it’s highly unlikely that the international community would step in to back them against the US in a conflict like this. I fear we might just see another tragedy like Wounded Knee, which wouldn't actually move the needle on improving the status of Native Americans within the country.
From a moral standpoint, they have every right to take a stand, but in reality, the law tends to favor those with the most power.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars hits theaters on August 15th. Think of it as a cinematic gateway to the animated Clone Wars series launching this fall. Dave Filoni is at the helm for the direction, and we've got some heavy hitters returning to voice the original cast, including Samuel L. Jackson (Mace Windu), Christopher Lee (Count Dooku), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), and Matthew Wood (General Grievous). It’s a bit of a bummer that Yoda isn't voiced by Frank Oz this time around, but instead we have Tom Kane, who actually provided the voice for Yoda in the original Clone Wars series.
You can check out the trailer here.
But honestly, it's just a cartoon. 😢 What's really the point of watching it? 🤷 It feels a bit like heading to the theater to watch an
animated version of "Alien: Rise of terror" or something along those lines. Give me a break! 🤣
