Honestly, I’m starting to get on my own nerves!!! 🙂
I swear, I can go from tears to total rage over the smallest, most trivial things in a heartbeat. When you add all that up, I feel like I spend more than half my time just unable to actually enjoy being pregnant.
And then, during those brief windows where I actually feel somewhat stable, I still find it hard to just settle into the whole experience.
Just when I finally start feeling okay about my changing body, the bump grows again, and I have to deal with the adjustment all over again.
Or just as I’m getting used to those gentle little kicks, suddenly there’s this sudden, sharp movement that actually makes me jump and feel startled.

I know, I know—everyone says these mood swings and physical shifts are totally normal during pregnancy. But I’m having such a hard time accepting them, which just leads to this endless cycle of guilt because I feel like I’m failing at "enjoying" this supposed beautiful journey.
But how am I supposed to be enjoying anything when I'm constantly either an emotional wreck or completely on edge? Plus, I can barely get any decent sleep at all.
Hannah Lewis2 said:It wasn't okay, but still... I mean, I waited nine years for my kid to actually grow up, and I can tell you from his 30th birthday that he finally turned into a real man! I guess I taught him right. You just have to set some boundaries early on; don't let them get away with everything, or it becomes a habit. Eventually, especially once they become parents themselves, things tend to click and they mature.

While I've got the keyboard out, is it normal for milk (or whatever) to leak this early??? (I mean, what *isn't* normal at this stage!) Just wondering if this happens often. I need to know how much sleepwear to prep, because I am definitely not washing a new pair of pajamas every single day! I'm currently 14 weeks and 5 days along.

He knows perfectly well that I can't stand that kind of behavior from him, but I’m hoping that once the baby arrives, he’ll clean himself up a little. It’s a massive responsibility, after all.

I’m 20 weeks along, so I haven't had any leaking issues yet, so 🤷
I figured I’d face some judgment or unsolicited life lessons once I posted this on the forum, so I’m not really going to hold anyone's comments against them. I made the choice to share this publicly myself.

I don't see much point in making excuses for either of us. I suppose we’re both at fault in our own ways regarding why things aren't working out between us, but it isn't true that I'm encouraging his behavior. We didn't talk much yesterday; I mostly just gave him one-word answers—"yes," "no," "I don't know." I think that was enough of a signal for him to realize he messed up, especially after I went to bed.
Just so we're clear, I didn't let him off the hook when he apologized later. He needs to understand how heavy his words actually land, even if he didn't strictly mean them—even if he only said them because he wasn't getting any sex.

He's essentially a child when it comes to our relationship. While he’s certainly grown up when it comes to managing his business and his finances, that one specific area of his maturity is... well, it's non-existent.

Anyway, thanks for the input. I appreciate the feedback, no matter how blunt it might be, but I just needed a place to vent and get this off my chest. 🙂for all of you
I am currently in a complete state of burnout.

I spent the whole day trekking all over town trying to track down some paperwork my mom needed for my brother, and then I came home, cleaned up, and even helped my partner move some small stuff around his workshop. Honestly, the only way my back doesn't ache is if I’m sitting perfectly still or lying down. Now, my "darling" is sulking because I had the nerve to tell him I was far too exhausted and physically drained for sex. He actually called me a cow. So, I just sat down at my computer and started crying (he stepped out for a cigarette)!

I could honestly 🙂 just kill him. What an insensitive jerk.
You guys, you won't believe what just happened to me!! 😂

I headed to the bathroom a little while ago, and my hips and lower back started hurting so intensely I thought I might lose it. Honestly, as I was dragging myself toward the toilet, the pain got so absurd that I just burst out laughing.
I have no idea what came over me, but I was just hysterical, laughing like a maniac. 🤣
Well, I suppose laughing is probably better than crying. 😉
Edward Rodriguez4 said:Look, I don't even care if he's hanging around the kitchen. My only real rule is that when he's done eating, he puts his plate in the sink and carries whatever's in the living room back to the kitchen. Asking me to let him do the dishes? Please... that would be even more of a disaster than it was before!
I've still got a gut, so I'm basically doing most of the heavy lifting myself! Trust me, you'll be right there with me once you hit that stage, because watching how sloppily he cleans will drive you absolutely insane! It's gonna be just like that... 😉

I know it’s coming 🤦, but I suppose I’m feeling a little bit 😉

But he’s definitely going to have to help out with the floors, since this house is massive. If I was able to pitch in and help him out in his workshop, surely he can do the same for me. 😁
I’d honestly rather spend twelve hours straight working in my garage than have him hovering in the kitchen trying to help; he acts like such a chore just being there.

I suppose I'll wait until I have a massive baby bump and can't manage the cleaning myself before I see if he actually steps up and realizes he needs to pull his weight. 🙄
I have this nagging suspicion that they’re messing things up on purpose, just so we’ll think twice before asking them to step up next time. 😂
Just to add some context, I actually moved it all by myself!!! And when I told him I could just handle moving it alone, he was all like, "No way, don't overdo it, you don't want anything going wrong with you or the baby. I'll do it, and my uncle will help me too!!"
Look, I moved it on my own, and I’m perfectly fine, and the baby is doing great.

Let's be real though, it's a massive king-sized solid wood bed. Men can be such a pain sometimes!!! 😠
I’ve finally come to the conclusion that men are completely redundant on this planet. 😠
After the contractors finished up, our bed ended up shoved half a foot away from the wall. I’ve been nagging my husband about fixing it for three weeks now. So, today I finally asked him nicely—like, "Hey, could you please just slide the bed back over with Uncle Bob helping you? It’ll take five minutes." And I was actually feeling pretty proud of myself for being reasonable. But after watching them struggle with it for three minutes, my ego took a hit when he tells me that Uncle Bob moved it too fast and knocked the bedside lamps right off the shelf. 😠
Of course, one of the lamps shattered—just the glass part—so now I’m stuck with one working light and one useless hunk of metal. 🙂 And where am I supposed to find an exact replacement for that specific model now?
Between the house and the men, nothing works. Last week, I managed to nudge the bed about ten centimeters on my own just so I could actually open the dresser drawer properly.
My takeaway? Aside from their role in procreating, they’re basically useless. At least in my case, mine is a lost cause. 😠
FIGICA, I’m right there with you. I told him the same thing—that we’re going to handle bath time together and he’ll be helping with diaper changes too, though I made it clear he isn't just stepping in when things get messy. 🙂

Persephone really needs your husband to step up. 🙂
As if his job was done the second he finished. Yeah, right, as if!
Yesterday, I found myself feeling just as miserable. My doctor mentioned they think it’s a girl, and I was honestly so excited for a moment. I turned to my husband to see how he felt, but all I got was a half-hearted, "That's cool." 😕 "What's the big deal?" I asked him. He just shrugged and said, "Well, yeah, but the baby is healthy, isn't it? That's what matters." 😕 It feels like I'm navigating this entire pregnancy completely on my own, celebrating these milestones by myself.
I get it—he’s preoccupied with everything going on with his sick mother right now—but I can't help but feel like maybe I deserve at least a little bit of shared excitement about having a daughter, or even just about the pregnancy itself.
I wouldn't say I'm usually a sensitive type—honestly, I only tend to have a good cry once every couple of months when everything just hits the fan at once—but lately, I’ve noticed that absolutely everything gets to me. Every little thing feels heavy. If I misinterpret a single word, I'm suddenly in tears within a minute, and once it starts, it’s almost impossible to pull myself back. I suppose my hormones are just wrecking me right now, though I don't really use that as an excuse. Even when my partner asks what's wrong or why I'm crying, I usually just stay quiet.
It honestly gets on my nerves when everyone keeps checking in to see if I’m doing okay—not in a bad way, mind you, but with that overly cautious, gentle tone people use when they think you’re actually sick.

I mean, I feel fine, for the most part (though I mostly just feel heavy right now since I haven't really connected with the pregnancy yet; there hasn't been any movement from the baby to make it feel real).

And the potholes around here are driving me crazy whenever my partner is driving. He tends to go a little too fast, and every time we hit one of those cracks in the road, I feel this sharp jarring sensation deep in my lower abdomen, right where my ovaries are. It’s incredibly uncomfortable.
Edward Rodriguez4 said:Yeah—it sounds stupid.
But look, I'm not one of those pregnant women who started out with a supermodel body, so this whole thing feels... weird for me.
If I gained weight already and I'm still gonna gain more, I'll just lose it later. Big difference is, I was never even skinny to begin with.
And what are you actually gonna do... stop eating just so your mom won't nag you? That's total bullshit.

You gotta shut people down immediately!
Seriously, the other day my friend's mom comes over and starts messing with me about my pregnancy, like, "Wow, where did that huge belly come from?!" while laughing... so I just looked her dead in the eye and said, "From hell," and she totally shut up while I just kept laughing... see what a total menace I am as a pregnant woman? 🤣
But I had to do it...

I wasn't exactly thin either; I definitely had some extra padding, but since I have a very petite frame, I'm genuinely worried about how I'll look if I end up twenty pounds heavier after the baby arrives.
I know it sounds silly, but I'm not starving myself. In fact, I'm eating more than usual, mostly fruit since I've been craving sweets.

I guess I'll be a "disgraceful" pregnant woman too, though I doubt anyone will take me seriously given my sarcastic sense of humor.
My grandmother really pushed my buttons today; she actually had the nerve to tell me I haven't put on enough weight. 😲
I tried explaining to her that I was only 132 pounds two weeks ago, so gaining about two pounds a month feels pretty reasonable to me. But then she hits me with, "And how on earth do you decide what's a reasonable amount per month?" 😠🙂

I suppose the only way to satisfy her would be to pack on 7 pounds every single month until I'm sitting at 200 or 220 pounds at my height. Then she could go around town telling everyone just how incredibly huge I've become. 😠
Honestly, I’d love to just 🙂
I’ve been dealing with these constant mood swings lately, and honestly, it’s exhausting. I feel like I've become incredibly irritable, just looking for any excuse to pick a fight all day long.

And if I’m being completely blunt, I can't stand the fact that my partner is stuck watching this absolute garbage of a game today.😠
It honestly gets under my skin when my mom keeps telling me I’ve already started filling out and that I’m headed straight for a major weight gain issue.

Given that I’m about 5'5", it feels a bit concerning... I don't exactly overeat, but then again, I'm not exactly running marathons either... I really need to get my act together... though I wonder how I'm even supposed to start hitting those step goals???
Nicholas Green69 said:Help, I am currently in my 8th week of pregnancy and I am just—well, "tired" doesn't even begin to cover it. I am beyond exhausted... I honestly can't find the right words to describe this level of fatigue. I can barely keep my eyes open while sitting down, let alone function. And yet, here I am at work, knowing that a little one is waiting for me at home...
Did any of you go through something similar? I truly don't know how I'm going to power through this exhaustion.
Is it actually normal to feel this depleted?

Unfortunately, yeah, it’s pretty standard. I went through the exact same thing, and honestly, I still feel it. It feels like I’d need at least 12 hours of sleep just to feel halfway human.
