James Cox6 said:Actually, a mother of four wrote that to me right here on this forum—about three months after I suffered a stillbirth during one of these online discussions..
She told me I clearly deserved to lose my baby in the third trimester and that God knows who He chooses to bless with children.
It was a long time ago—three years back—but whenever those words cross my mind, I get chills. Even today, it honestly gives me chills..😢

That's horrific... nobody, and I mean absolutely nobody, deserves that.

what really got under my skin was seeing my husband kissing his ex-girlfriend's stomach because she’s pregnant just like I am, and he was acting all sentimental and sweet toward her.
He was just beaming with smiles, and honestly, I felt physically sick. Eventually, I just lost it and started screaming at the top of my lungs—calling him trash, saying he was disgusting—it just completely rattled me.
I actually woke up feeling that angry.😂😂
So, I just went ahead and told him exactly how I felt while I was still fuming.😁

Anthony Watson35 said:Sarah Adams3, next time you pull a stunt like this—before my heart actually gives out on me—remember to lead with "I had a dream that"... 😲 🤣

For real!! My blood pressure was already starting to spike and I was slowly losing it. 🙂 It's all yours...😂😂😂😂
Jonathan Grant2 said:Honestly, it’s been driving me absolutely insane lately how nobody seems to take me seriously as a pregnant woman... or honestly, just as a person at all. Like, my servers at the restaurant treat me more like one of the gang than the actual boss. I’ll tell them fifteen different times to switch up the playlist—or I'll just go ahead and do it myself—but fifteen minutes later, they’re right back to their old habits. And then you’ve got these older folks sitting out on the patio, trying to enjoy themselves, while the music is just thumping away like crazy. It’s so disrespectful. I’ll ask them to go clean the restrooms, and instead, they just sit there and light up a cigarette.😠
Look, I’m not really the type of person who wants to go around barking orders and playing drill sergeant just to keep order, but if I’m the one paying your wages, and I’m being fair to you by giving you perks that literally no other boss would ever dream of allowing, then for heaven's sake, just put in some effort.🙄
Just yesterday, this waitress was opening up the cafe in the morning, and I sat down at the counter for a second just to clear my head and catch my breath, and she actually sits right down next to me and asks me to make *her* a coffee.😲

The nicer you are to people, the worse they treat you. It's the honest truth.
My advice? Change your tune and start docking pay for stuff like this, because they won't get it otherwise. First, call a meeting and explain clearly that this behavior isn't okay and that there will be consequences. Then, if they keep acting up, actually follow through... you'll see how fast they shape up once you do.
And look, whether you're pregnant or not doesn't matter—if you're the boss (which I can tell you are), you have to run things that way. You're running a business, not a charity.
Wow, looks like they’re on a roll lately...
I won't even get into how rude they are—they didn't even specify which month's rates I supposedly missed, just told me I owe money$200!
And this guy is writing like I have to settle up within 15 days of the notice, but the date says May 23rd and I only got it this past Friday!
Ugh, I'm seriously going to lose it when I deal with them!!!
Adam Evans62 said:Goddamn Medicare 😠 🙂

I am so incredibly pissed off right now I’ve been crying so hard I thought I was actually going to go into labor from the stress!!!!!

A notice showed up today at $117 about unpaid premiums for my private health insurance—I’m totally 😲
.
I went straight to check the contract/policy I signed back in February 2010, and it clearly states it runs until February 2011. That was when I paid my final installment.
I didn't renew the contract (meaning I didn't bother going back to the agency to file a new signed agreement like I did the previous two years) because I'm pregnant. Since all pregnancy-related services are covered for free under the standard plan, I wanted to save some cash.

I called those idiots immediately and told them I settled every single debt up through February 2011 when the one-year term ended.
Some arrogant old lady on the phone just laughed in my face and said:
"Ma'am, did you even read the fine print on the back of the contract? If you didn't explicitly request a termination in writing before the expiration date, we automatically renewed it for another year!"

Screw this country and screw me for being stupid enough not to read that. And screw the arrogance of these government bureaucrats and everything else...
Now I have to scrape together money for these damn $117, even though we're basically just dragging things out month after month and moving money from one empty pocket to another... 😢

Dear Medicare and our great nation: you get a massive :2up: from me!

I second this entirely... except I'm the one who got a warning notice on $200, which is just ridiculous... since I pay everything online, I'll just send them a message asking what their problem is, right?
And then I'm canceling my policy in writing... seriously, they have zero respect.
After vacuuming, dusting my tiny studio, and whipping up lunch (nothing crazy, just some seitan risotto with spring veggies and a side salad), I feel like I’ve been digging tunnels through a mountain.... I am sweating bullets, and while I was eating, I could barely stay upright—my head almost hit the plate from pure exhaustion.

Bottom line? It's frustrating because I can't get anything done without feeling completely wiped out and drenched in sweat...
Luckily, I'm almost there...
dustyridge31 said:Mine does the exact same thing whenever I wash a single small item, and it only happens with those. It just won't spin. Perhaps it finds the workload too intimidating?!! Yet, strangely enough, I can pack it full of clothes and it runs without a single hiccup; I cannot make head or tail of it either.😕

So this morning my husband asks if maybe the drain hose is pressed too tight against the wall. I nudge the washer just an inch away and—lo and behold—that was the whole problem... now it's running like a dream... 🙈 I came up with all these wild theories about why the spin cycle wasn't working... but I totally missed the obvious one.
My stupid new washer/dryer combo!!!
I honestly don't know if I'm just being an idiot or what, but seriously, I’m about two seconds away from taking a sledgehammer to this thing...
Everything is great when I have a huge load of laundry—I'm loving it!
But the second I have just a few items to wash, it refuses to spin...
The other day I did a bathrobe, a baby playpen, and a little pillow. Put them on a standard cycle, and when it finished, I went to pull them out and realized it didn't even drain the water... okay, fine, I tried a dedicated spin cycle and it counts down 7, 6, 5... then immediately jumps to 1 and "End"!! Like, hello? End? It did nothing... so I pulled everything out and ran an empty cycle... that worked. I put the playpen back in and it worked. Same with the pillow and the robe...
But today, I'm trying to wash this tiny bathroom rug and I've been fighting with the spin cycle for over half an hour... I've tried everything, even the quick cycles, it washes perfectly fine, but the spin just won't happen...
Seriously, how much brainpower does it take to turn the dial to spin and hit play?!?!

(Sorry for the rant, but I honestly want to chuck this machine out the window, and my husband is asleep so I can't vent to him)
Charles Miller3 said:Lately, I've been hearing it from both sides—they’re all insisting I need some fancy baby carrier just to get the little one out of the hospital. Their logic? "Oh, we all carried you in carriers and look how fine you turned out!" Like, seriously? I've told them a hundred times—no, we're using the car seat. But nope, Mom’s back at it with her nonsense: "But I saw such a cute little Moses basket!". 😁😁

Man, looks like we're all dealing with the exact same headaches!
Same thing happened with my mom... which is wild because she’s actually super smart and level-headed. She was all like, "But how are we supposed to bring the baby out?" I told her straight up, "In the US, if there's no car seat, the kid isn't getting in the car." She just goes, "But why does it even matter?!" Honestly, once I ran out of actual arguments, I just hit her with, "Well, it's the law, and you're the one who taught me to follow the rules." That shut it down immediately. Case closed.

Brenda Bishop2 said:Ugh, oh man, I have been exactly where you are...
I once watched a grandmother try to give her three-month-old grandson ice cream, a banana, a Milk Snatch, and even a chunk of meat to suck on...😲😠 😲😠I swear, I nearly lost my mind when I saw that; I just turned around and walked straight out of the room...

I told my mom right away that once we get home, we’re sitting down for a very serious sit-down about how MY baby is going to eat and what they are allowed to drink. And I made it clear she shouldn't even bother coming over unless things with my mother-in-law are perfectly smooth, because honestly, it's better to have her here than dealing with the MIL. I know, I know, I can be a total dragon when it comes to my mom and my in-laws, but I mean it!😍😍

Ugh, I totally feel this... We’re about to start introducing carrots to our little one around the three-month mark. My mom actually grows organic, pesticide-free carrots in her garden just for him, which I am seriously so grateful for. I told her we'll just play it by ear—if he seems interested in the food, he'll get a little taste to try, but if he's not feeling it, I'm definitely not going to force him.

Charles Miller3 said:brightridge19, you should also tell those geniuses that the fine is $167 if you aren't using a proper car seat for your kid. Maybe they actually care about "love" or whatever—since clearly safety isn't on their radar. People seriously underestimate how chaotic driving is these days. 🥳

👍 I totally get that. My pediatrician actually gave me the same lecture—asking why on earth I’d bother with such an expensive car seat when we aren't constantly driving long distances. I just looked her straight in the eye and said, "Look, someone could hit us just pulling out of a Starbucks parking lot, and I'm really not looking to gamble with my kid's life." She went dead silent after that.

Another text from the Godfather. 🤦
Classic move—basically saying "fine, it takes two to tango, we won't meet if you don't want to, whatever..." Just, totally over the top! This guy is actually losing it!!!
Man, I swear, I hear some crazy stuff every single day...
Honestly? Not even worth my breath to reply. 🤦

Linda Ward312 said:I honestly can't stand tobacco smoke, so I make sure to stay far away from it. It doesn't bother my neighbors or any family coming over for a visit because they don't feel any pressure to light up in front of me. 😠 Sure, it's their house, but those types would probably try to light up at my place too. At first, we let them, but then I just had enough... I looked at my husband and told him, "Nobody is smoking in this house ever again!" 😠 And then I'm the one stuck airing out the place for days on end!
I really don't get how some smokers have the nerve to even ask if they can light up when they already know we don't smoke. We don't even keep an ashtray in the house.

What’s been driving me absolutely crazy over the last month, though, is this brutal bladder pressure 😢 ...it starts with this intense pressure, then I go use the bathroom, and then for a few minutes afterward, it hurts so bad I can barely walk. I guess the little guy just likes lying right on top of my bladder 😁

it's exactly the same here...

And about that bolded part, seriously, it's pure torture... ugh, such bad pain... the worst part is trying to roll over in bed... it's brutal...
Sarah Adams3 said:Wait, you have to be kidding me... I mean, what do you even do when you sit down at an outdoor patio and someone starts smoking right at the table next to you?
Are you really going to yell at them to get lost? I guess maybe you should!

hell no... if it's bothering me, I'll just move.... but I shouldn't have smoke drifting into my apartment... if you're gonna smoke, just do it inside, don't smoke by the window (since there's no balcony there) and annoy the neighbors who don't even smoke in their own place...
do whatever you want, honestly, I don't care, but when the smoke is forced into my place, yeah, I'm gonna lose it.
btw, I'm an ex-smoker, so yeah, it bugs me, and no, I never smoked inside my place....

Sophia Walker89 said:Ugh, oh man... I totally feel for you. It’s the exact same thing in my apartment in Chicago... every night around midnight, I get hit with this stench of cigarette smoke like someone is standing right in front of my window, and I'm on the 6th floor!!

it's gross... straight up in your nose... and you know how bad that smoke smells in an apartment where nobody even smokes...
Some jerk is smoking right outside my window, and of course, the smoke drifts straight into my apartment. I’m sitting right in the corner by the glass, so it’s hitting me full force in the face...
I can't even figure out who it is no matter how much I lean out to look. I don't know if it's someone on the street or just a neighbor next door! Honestly, my stomach is getting big enough now that I could probably lean out my top-floor window and act like a total hormonal pregnant lady screaming at them through the glass. Like, who smokes like that?! It feels like they're just ignoring me, though, because this happens every single night!!!
😠😠😠
Ugh, I seriously don't know why I even bother visiting my boyfriend's family....
I went over to his grandma's yesterday and everything was fine until she drops this: "I'd ask you something right now, but I know I shouldn't." So I told her, "Go ahead, what could you possibly not be allowed to ask?"

After ten minutes of awkward tension, she finally blurted it out: "So, are we going to baptize the little one?"
(And just like that, my inner rebel woke up) I told her, "Actually, I don't think so. We'll wait until he's old enough to decide for himself. I don't feel right forcing any religion on an unconscious baby..." She actually started tearing up... saying things like, "How can you say that? If we don't baptize him, the child won't be happy..." eeeee, when I heard that, I totally lost it...
John Baker5: Why wouldn't my kid be happy? He'll have the love of his mom and dad, and honestly, that's all that matters for his happiness...
Olivia Miller2: No, no, no—you guys need to baptize him, at least so you don't have to repeat the sacraments later (😕)
John Baker5: But we aren't Christian.
Olivia Miller2: Well, M is Christian!
John Baker5: Nope! On the census, he identified as an ATHEIST!
Olivia Miller2: HE ISN'T! M, tell her! You are, right??!!? You were baptized...
John Baker5: So what? That doesn't make him Catholic.
Olivia Miller2: Yes, he is! Look, M (my man) had the baby baptized and got married in a church!
John Baker5: And what, are you trying to say they're happier than us because they had a church wedding, or that the baby is only happy because he's been baptized??
Olivia Miller2: YES.
John Baker5: What else am I supposed to say to that?!?

Ugh, if I didn't absolutely flatten her with my response, I don't know when I will... That old lady, implying my child won't be happy....
After it all blew over, M told me I handled it great and that I was lucky I didn't kill her, considering how much I usually want to... I mean, what kind of twisted mind thinks it's okay to tell someone their child won't be happy? Such a bitter old soul...😠😠

And of course, it all started because she claimed Isaac is a Christian name, and I had to tell her it's actually Jewish!
She needs to just back off and leave me alone already...
Olivia Miller2 said:Go see an OB-GYN... honestly, that’s the only solid advice any of us can give you... and go tomorrow, tell them it's urgent!

I don't get why you're stressing so much. If you don't trust your insurance provider, just head to a private clinic (it doesn't matter if you're already five months along)... either way, they're the only ones who can actually confirm a pregnancy and check on how things are progressing. Plus, they can set up the right follow-up exams so you're properly taken care of moving forward..

Even if you're dealing with your period right now (despite the extra weight), I'm pretty sure an abdominal ultrasound would still be able to confirm everything...

ultrasound 🤦 just realized what I typed 🤦
Good luck, girl!
Gregory Clark5 said:God... I haven't seen a doctor or even bothered to buy another test. It felt like a fluke since I'm still getting my period. But after thinking I was pregnant about two and a half months ago, the thought is back. If I were pregnant, it would be five months now. Look... I'm heavy. I'm carrying an extra 65 pounds. It’s hard to tell by looking at my stomach, but I noticed something. My jeans, which used to be loose even when I was heavier, fit perfectly right now. They aren't loose at all—in fact, the button digs into me when I sit down. Like it's about to pop... 😂 And... it isn't weight gain. I'm actually getting thinner everywhere else. My legs are slimmer, but my stomach stays the same size. Then there's yesterday. I felt two distinct thumps on the left side of my abdomen. Actual kicks. I've never felt anything like that. A week ago, I started hearing these strange bubbling sounds inside. Indescribable. Like something is moving. My nipples have darkened, too. My breasts feel firmer. Even foods I used to love, like a good veggie hash, make me nauseous. I tried some tomatoes today and just felt sick. Now I'm sticking to milk, beans, and grits. It's the only thing that works. It's all very strange. Everything points toward pregnancy. My back has been aching—lower back first, then upper. The only anomaly is the period. If I skip them, I'm pregnant; if I count them, I'm not. I wouldn't bother tracking them closely because, let's face it, I'm overweight. I doubt anything about my body is normal anymore. When I was fifteen, my cycle lasted twenty-one days straight and I ended up in the hospital for four days. So... Sorry for the long vent, but I'd appreciate your thoughts on this. A friend says I need to see an OB-GYN, and I will, but I'm terrified of the stories out there—about how it might not be a baby, but just internal bleeding, or something fatal... 😕

Go see an OB-GYN... honestly, that’s the only solid advice any of us can give you... and go tomorrow, tell them it's urgent!

My mother-in-law is refusing surgery because she thinks she needs to be here to help us once the baby arrives...
I mean, it’s sweet of her, really, but during those first few weeks, I want my own mom by my side, not her... though I doubt she'll see it that way.
But my husband and I finally sat down and worked out a plan: if she stays at our place for more than five hours on our first day home, he’s going to step in and have a real talk with her about setting some boundaries. Same goes if she pops in for two hours straight two days in a row—we're having that conversation.
Hannah Lewis2 said:My mom this weekend.
Scenario one: - When you have the baby and he’s throwing some big party, I’m coming over to stay with you for two days, but he better not be there. - Mom, he’s gonna be hosting this whole thing while I’m stuck in the hospital, then he’ll be right back home with me.
- Well fine, but he could just stay there for those two days and I could come visit you instead. 🤦
Then my little sister jumps in and snaps at me to just leave her alone. 😳

Scenario two: - Why are you wearing those flats? (Like, they're two sizes too big, I just slide them on and go). Just buy some clogs or sandals, it’d be way easier on you. I didn't even say anything.

moms!
I seriously can't complain about mine... it’s already starting...
-Listen, I'll take some time off during those first few weeks after you give birth so I can help you.
-Mom will be home on vacation during the first week, so you should take yours during the second week..
-But you're going to need help with everything
-Yeah, well Mom will be home, and you can just come over after work or during your lunch break (she works five steps away from my apartment)
-But how are you going to bathe him...
-Mom, you can just show me when you come by after work
-But for the first week, you shouldn't be doing anything heavy or strenuous until you've recovered
-Well, just take the first week off then...
🤣🤣🤣
Jesse Evans85 said:Honestly, I’ve finally reached my breaking point. The constant barrage of calls from friends and family—both close and distant—pestering me about my current situation is driving me absolutely insane. I am genuinely considering switching off every single phone in the house just to get some peace. If I miss the deadline because I couldn't escape the noise, I might actually lose my mind.

+ And don't even get me started on my mother-in-law. She acts like she has an answer for everything and insists on inserting herself into every little thing, playing the part of the selfless Good Samaritan. It’s impossible to be direct with her because she hides behind the excuse that she’s "only trying to help."

First off, just wanted to give a quick shoutout to the girls on here. For anyone who isn't like, literal family or my besties, just letting you know my due date is at the end of June!! So I’m pretty sure nobody’s even gonna remember.🤣🤣

Gotcha, I feel you on the rest. 😘 I feel you... It’s always the same. She asks me, "Where are you even going to put the kid?" and I'm like, "In the passenger seat of the SUV," and she immediately hits me with that "But..." because apparently, my daughter used to sit in the basket in the back of the car... then just rolls her eyes. Typical.

Quincy:
I can't believe you're still talking about this. Honestly? It's getting old. kaže:
It’s driving me crazy—all this fake royal wedding nonsense... I don't even know anymore.
Man, those two are always making drama out of nothing. I don't even follow the thread, but honestly, you can't go a single day without hearing about them. And that Marijana? She just won't shut up. Ugh.
I'm with you—both of those topics are seriously annoying.

my blood pressure is actually rising..
it bugs me most when people don't read more than just one single post... honestly, that's what scares me about this whole thing...
My stupid gin is taking forever. I'm sitting here with five other people just waiting, and this guy starts rambling with some pharma rep about the state of the country... As if I wasn't losing my mind already, now I'm even crazier!!
