Regarding the Tesla thread, you’re essentially validating a complete moron.

1. Why on earth are you deleting my responses? My posts provide definitive technical evidence that this individual is a total incompetent, constantly muddying the waters with his ignorance. You continue to play dumb, ignoring the blatant violation of community guidelines—starting from his obvious sockpuppet account and continuing indefinitely.

By doing this, you're simply granting him unlimited space to derail the entire discussion.

2. As for the other user who seems to be "venting," he has eleven posts dedicated exclusively to attacking me, yet not a single one actually addresses the subject at hand... (you deleted a couple of mine because I had already flagged his nonsense).

http://www.reddit.com/search.php?searchid=60592279

Look, I am not asking you to sanction them; I am asking you to stop deleting posts that are actually relevant to the topic. This is electrical engineering—perhaps consult an expert before you start "playing doctor." I simply don't have the bandwidth to explain to utter fools why they are fools; it is practically impossible to convince them otherwise. The issue isn't dealing with these inferior, indolent individuals; the purpose of this thread is intellectual contemplation, not providing a stage for uncontrolled psychological outbursts from the masses.

Make no mistake, this is not an insult; it is a simple statement of fact. It wouldn't be difficult to prove my assertion... though I suppose I should use gentler language... people from Miami are just 🤷
they shouldn't pretend to be ignorant (which is a punishable offense under the rules... which they certainly are... so let them stay, I will deal with him in a subsequent post and save you the headache).

Understood? Consider this a bit of enlightenment. It is remarkable how one fool can spoil what a dozen intelligent people have built. Don't go being "the other one"...

I see now that you are even deleting posts on the other thread. 🤣 Truly pathetic and small-minded.
How to connect an old HDD to USB? in IT Support ·
To run this from a laptop, you would technically need a step-up converter to jump from 5V to 12V, though I have my doubts whether a standard USB port can actually provide sufficient amperage.
It would be far more efficient and cost-effective to simply purchase a dedicated 12V stabilized power supply—aim for at least 1.5A, or perhaps even higher, similar to those used for security camera systems—and then solder on a Molex connector. Any seasoned electronics hobbyist could handle this task without any significant trouble.

image

Connect the black wire (negative) and the yellow wire (positive 12V) to the red wire from the USB (standard 5V), and ensure you also connect it to the black negative wire.

When plugging things in, always plug the USB connection in first to establish the ground (GND). And for heaven's sake, do not plug or unplug anything while the computer is running. It isn't strictly necessary, but Murphy is law... things tend to go sideways exactly when you need them to work most.

Perhaps if you read a bit more closely, my esteemed moderator?
What was actually written was a demonstration of idiocy...

Twenty posts documenting pure stupidity; it shouldn't have taken you long to realize that.

As for those veiled insults 🤦 ... your intuition 🙄 regarding whether I provided the link(s)

is quite the opposite.
They are insulting me, but that is beside the point; rather, one individual went ahead and changed "my post" (please consult the forum rules).

It would be akin to me offering someone
praise

writing: you are the perfect moderator

and then having someone alter it so that I had actually written (using your own terminology)

you are an idiotic moderator.

And what is your response? Rest assured, no names were mentioned, though I certainly wouldn't object to your conclusion that you recognized yourself in the description. That is a personal sentiment to which I have no insight.
I can defend you against others, but I cannot defend you from yourself... 🤷 You accept that, don't you? Surely you understand why it would be absurd to ignore how things are actually written.

... where I am asking politely (here is another opportunity for you to issue a penalty) — please consider the sheer silence of the other party.

- and here, decide for yourself whether you are an ideal or an idiotic moderator; perhaps I made a mistake in my entry.

Understand this: the sarcasm was directed at a thread concerning the tragic end of a young life. At the very beginning, I noted that he most likely "fell" into the Mississippi—either by accident, of his own volition, or because someone pushed him... but that remains mere speculation until a body is found or undeniable evidence emerges. Put yourself in the shoes of the father, Flo.

I wish you a pleasant day.

P.S. To let you in on a little secret, you aren't actually important here... the person I truly need to hear from is... essentially, I require a coherent explanation, not yours.

It is good to see you again, Jerry Robinson56. I was out for a bit—just getting some miles in along the Mississippi riverbank.

And yet, of course... everything is fundamentally flawed. Casey Bennett Let us proceed with absolute precision, word for word—perhaps we could even play a hand of poker before the heavy lifting begins.Well, it appears someone has gone through the trouble of altering my post. A clone, I suspect—though heaven knows which one. It is quite evident they possess a certain level of experience in such deceptive maneuvers.)

I understand. It appears that certain individuals on this forum have abandoned all pretense of sincerity. One can only wonder what prompted such a blatant descent into dishonesty. This topic is quite serious and, frankly, violates our community guidelines. One should consider the gravity of the situation: imagine if you were facing the disappearance of your own child under such circumstances.
I suppose I misspoken there... it wasn't quite that other one, though it hardly matters in the grand scheme of things. Both of them serve the exact same purpose: they're nothing more than mockery.

And then, quite out of nowhere, the second one arrives. 🤣 It is irrelevant to discuss the specific scale of recognition; I suggest you refrain from asking for numbers, as you will inevitably attempt to use them against my argument. When I analyze a situation, I focus strictly on the substance of the words themselves. In certain contexts, the identity of the author is entirely inconsequential to the validity of the statement.
Pure stupidity and injustice.

You know I have a profound appreciation for intellect and finesse. You’ve demonstrated both quite clearly, which suggests you have a legitimate shot at this right from the start.

What is the title of this thread? Chickens... 🤷 And then I go ahead and call her "little hen"—though, granted, that term carries a few different connotations depending on who you ask, but I suspect you grasp my meaning perfectly well.

In about a week or two, I will be departing this earthly plane entirely. You can expect a truly magnificent reward once the final notes of this ballad have faded into silence. One cannot help but wonder if there is some higher intelligence peering down at us all, observing our every move from some unseen vantage point. It is a persistent, somewhat unsettling thought that lingers in the back of one's mind.

My final answer, number one.
I find myself employing diminutives quite frequently—take the word "little nugget," for instance. Does that sit well with you, or would you prefer I strip away such descriptors and stick strictly to the more blunt, unadorned terminology? It appears there is nothing here to address. If you have a point to make or an observation to share, I suggest you present it clearly. I find myself waiting on a coherent thought that simply hasn't arrived yet.

Understand this: you are going to stumble. Failure is an inevitability. However, one must realize that reaching the destination isn't the actual objective; rather, it is the integrity of the journey itself that holds any true value. 😉

Postscript. Not so long ago, you wrote that I was being unserious. Tell me, Casey Bennett, doesn't it feel somewhat awkward to realize how much you missed the mark?

Look, Jeremy Johnson18, you have someone who is both bright and young—reminds me of my younger self—but he seems to have overlooked one fundamental truth: when you attempt to return, the decision doesn't rest with you, but with the moderators. 🕺 Using the term "on demand" is nothing short of delusional.

Look, I told you to cut it out because you're dragging a bunch of irrelevant nonsense into this thread. You started by talking about downloading a specific file from a site, and somehow wound up listing everywhere else you have access, who gave you the most grief, and all that—none of which actually matters for this topic.

I mentioned him strictly for informational purposes. It is clear you have misinterpreted my intent. Those with actual insight understand the reasoning...
However, there is little point in continuing this discussion, much as The Witch suggested, and I believe Larry Walker24 would concur,

but then again, you’ve been compromised, haven't you? Just checking for the record.

After that, it's just a raffle... for a broomstick, naturally...

Jacob Alvarez said:Sharp should absolutely be held accountable for certain aspects of his administration. For starters, why on earth is there a discussion regarding the siege of Boston within the American Civil War subforum?

Furthermore, America was indeed labeled an aggressor in Canada.

Thirdly, there is this pervasive confusion surrounding citizenship. It seems to me that we Americans are profoundly bewildered by the inconsistent and contradictory behavior displayed by citizens in Canada over the last three decades. I suspect they aren't even certain of their own identities. In short, they become whatever is convenient at any given moment. Regardless, they do remarkably little to support American interests. That is certainly my takeaway from Sharp's post.

🙂 precisely that
If you identify as an American, then respect American laws.

Certain individuals among us seem to believe we are merely a diaspora to be managed according to their whims, and they are all too happy to flee back home to evade the jurisdiction of the American legal system...

And first of all... one must acknowledge that he is genuinely putting in the effort. Mistakes happen, and perhaps a bit of leniency is warranted regarding certain matters (I am not certain which ones, but a topic for debate could certainly be raised

It is difficult to fathom that a more competent moderator cannot be found.

Your reasoning is flawed; Joe Biden is merely defending the facts. He may err regarding the future, much as he does with the present, but his grasp on history remains the prevailing standard.
One ought to practice some honesty; one must first be a decent human being before claiming any sort of national identity.

You aren't taking starting these subreddits about partial credit seriously at all. I don't think anyone actually took you or this whole topic seriously, regardless of how much you think people are following along with the enrollment numbers. 🤷 Cut the nonsense about who's getting banned the most and stop obsessing over specific people...

Slightly off-topic, but regarding my department... you've been vaccinated, haven't you? In the past, I struggled to find a way to describe you as a rational individual without being insulting. That is simply Gauss's distribution curve speaking, not my own conclusion.

@ Larry Walker24

Do not persist... there is no utility in wasting time.
(You are aware of the facts, so there is no need to elaborate, though apparently, you require a repetition)
It was polite of BigA to show up, regardless of his motives, though you failed to provide him with substantive posts. Then again, even if you had, no one would allow free labor to exert any actual influence.

Perhaps things would be different if I hadn't grabbed that old broom, but I required transportation in the early morning hours while we were all being haunted by the shadows of days gone by.

P.S. The broom is somewhat unreliable.

But progress is possible; one can always earn a penalty.

However, you will notice that the sentinels—those who have no obligation to speak—provide a much-needed breath of levity during these garish and chaotic times.

P.S. I am selling a broom at a bargain price; lightly used, engraved in English with "The Witch," limited edition or something to that effect...
Following the required formal correspondence, you have arrived late to the table, Ryan Taylor4, missing several days regarding the matter at

Had you bothered to read from the very first post, you wouldn't have felt the need to chime in. I fail to see where the difficulty lies—is it the speed of typing? Or perhaps glancing at a "prophet"... there was one here, lacking even a broom, who refused to believe my words.
It would have been wiser to remain intelligently silent... (though I am certain this will be used against me)

At best, you'll get some low-effort copy-paste nonsense, while SHE won't even bother showing up in your thread.

My contribution to your response: you simply do not possess musical taste {your signature} (though taste is subjective, good and bad exist regardless) — speaking as a former club DJ, music editor, and sound engineer.
At first glance, it is surprising that you serve as a moderator for the media section, but when I consider the current state of our outlets, it becomes clearer. I only hope this wasn't a choice you made under duress.
Freedom of speech and thought is reasonably guaranteed here, and many high-quality moderators find their entertainment on this platform.

Regarding the discrepancy over the scale's calibration—as if they would just "let it go"—you are the deciding factor, the sole individual standing in the way, and now, suddenly, because of you, no one else will or can act. Are the others truly that submissive?
Could you please elaborate on what offended you so deeply? As far as I am aware, there ought to be a consensus.
And at five in the morning, no less? ... Just so we don't have to open a "new" thread. I am conducting a study, so I would appreciate your statements, given that you are an original, undiscovered specimen.

In reality, the criminal records of hardened felons are wiped clean... after a certain period of time.

Look, I’m not trying to lecture you; this is merely a suggestion, though if you disagree, that is perfectly fine by me. My point was that one should state their position clearly. However, since you have already lost your way and been effectively sidelined, it is obvious that anyone can stumble now and then, isn't that right? You are acting like an inquisitor here, regardless of whether you are technically correct.
Now, don't get me wrong—I am not complaining—but looking back through the lens of my own personal growth, everything becomes quite clear... both then and now, after several years have passed.
I wrote a few things regarding Larry Walker24's side of things; I recall he was muted quite often on threads where I also participated, and while I don't post much, his contributions were actually quite solid... rather pleasant to read, in fact.

Regardless of Larry Walker24's past track record, perhaps some people could learn from engaging in dialogue with those who are called out, instead of just doing the mods' heavy lifting for them... consider that a little bonus tip.
But instead, those being called out simply remain silent...
