It’s vital that you just vent and move on; what carries no actual substance is no less significant.
Find me a single valid complaint against xmoronx and I’ll personally strip your partial credit on the AV technician scale. 🙏

🙂 Calling me a generous Mother Goose?

We could certainly negotiate the removal of posts, but not the partial credits.

This is merely a clarification, provided in direct response to the opening inquiry of this thread.

Back then, I actually offered to help "restore" a forum member whom you all banned without a shred of justification—a collective decision made by a few who were convinced he was a bot, simply because it seemed impossible that another user could write truths that expose such blatant vacuity and ignorance. In exchange, I proposed solving ten of those "unsolvable" issues plaguing the users, after which they could even remove me entirely, despite us being total strangers.
You cut off around the third or fourth point because of some self-proclaimed technician who "believes" 🤣 he possesses actual knowledge of electrical engineering.
I have absolutely no desire to return to the swamp I have already waded through.
It is even more absurd that you assume my writing holds any weight, considering how you delete the most useful posts just to shield others from insults they refuse to address.

The entire moderation team is responsible here, not just you. The tragedy is that all of this remains true, even after the posts are deleted.
Every one of my partial credits serves as proof that I was right, both then and now. (think of figures like Biden, Trump, or Pelosi...) They are entirely unjust and fueled solely by the low, petty passions of certain individuals, whom you reduce to a common denominator... effectively proving they are all moral zeros.

Behavioral segmentation points toward damaged subjects who enjoy using their privileged positions to insult others, waiting for an opportunity to join in on attacking common sense because they are creatively impotent. Though, to be fair, it is quite natural. One must work on oneself to escape such a prison or perhaps encounter "someone"
even virtually, since the spirit requires no tactile experience... "it creates it within those capable of perceiving it."
As for a fresh example of good versus bad, look at the recent situation on that DIY enthusiast thread
The best posts are the ones deleted—instances where a complete idiot revealed himself to be a lifelong buffoon, yet I am the one who receives a 5-point penalty (which, in fairness, was justified—at least for five points). That penalty was for something else entirely; he realized his error in time.
Meanwhile, the moderator dutifully scrubs the posts that fully exposed the idiot, who had also been insulting me regarding politics. What a farce, isn't it?
Imagine a total novice who doesn't even understand Ohm's Law... Norton, Kirchhoff's laws... it’s all Greek to him, but I suppose it's simply beyond his reach.
And get this: the idiot promotes a lethal, truly dangerous claim, and then calls *me* an idiot (to which I don't respond, as he might be right) and tells me to get lost, troll after I proved he had no clue what he was talking about. I simply replied that he had crossed the line into personal insults... because I'm not just any troll, I'm a master troll.

https://www.forum.com/showpost.php?p=...&postcount=188

Anyway, you know I'm a master troll (as confirmed by the moderators) and that such insults ought to be sanctioned. Has there been any...? I'm not demanding, merely asking...
It is much like a moderator who lacks even a basic grasp of electrical wiring—though, looking at the broader picture, I suspect he is equally clueless about most other things... but let us not digress.

And what a little farce... this very same moderator was handed a red card in the ban corner. Truly incredible.
One ought to "remove" these self-proclaimed experts (in certain parts of Europe, one calls anyone who performs their job with competence a "doctor," whether they be surgeons or street sweepers).
You are thinking of that slippery character from MIT...

There you have it...
But you failed to grasp the point—the post was a haul (not a football reference, mind you, but a fishing one) intended for you.

Yesterday, I found myself in Monterey; the weather was sublime. I dined with an old comrade-in-arms from the forums, enjoying squid stuffed with cheese, toasted almonds, and habanero peppers, followed by sea bass seasoned with coarse sea salt and a fine glass of Chardonnay.

We are merely collecting cards and fragments... every fool finds his own particular brand of satisfaction, does he not? 😉
Do you truly understand how much you "mean" to me?

Casey Bennett said:Of course it went xmoronx. The only thing is, he missed the entire goal, or whatever the soccer metaphor dictates.

N o. My dear, you are mistaken again... which comes as no surprise. You are struggling quite a bit here... it is classic.

Two times two is four.

But you failed to grasp the point—the post was a haul (not a football reference, mind you, but a fishing one) intended for you.
Now, if

He has a wonderful descendant, though I did advise him not to become a... well, not physically, but mentally (as if I could have known).

And here is something honest for you.

As for me, I shall return to this place (to the other side of the sky... starry starry nights) in about a month, and we won't be speaking for at least four months (perhaps forever). You may choose: there are beaches as white as pearls, and there are those as black as coal.

And this one will "vanish" too... just like the rest of us, like tears in the rain.

Nica, I wish you all the best through all your coming days... (if only it were 😁)

You are remarkably intelligent and witty—certainly more so than most people your age... just try not to end up as some sort of mediocre 😉
has-been. One day, you might actually be the one in control; right now, you’re just someone with potential.

To be clear, that wasn't meant as a slight, but rather a directional guide, much like a compliment (as indicated by the emoticon at the start).
As I have already stated, the intelligence I perceive in you is a rare commodity these days, which is precisely why I felt compelled to write this.

It might be worth considering that you are essentially inviting these complaints due to your habit of rapid-fire outbursts.
I would suggest attempting to curb such lapses in judgment, regardless of whether you feel entitled to lash out.
You will find much more success when you provide a coherent explanation rather than leaving everything hanging in uncertainty...
As someone entirely new to this, I am completely unaware of the sheer volume of these incidents.

Charles Ramos4 said:Ovaj aThe album is pure madness. 👍 If memory serves me correctly, I also contributed that to the thread started by F. maca some time ago.For those who aren't up to speed, this work was released by Nicks and Buckingham before they officially joined that band in late 1974. Just a few months after joining the group, they dropped their debut on FM, which became a massive success. However, as time marched on and those subsequent genius albums began to pile up, this particular record slipped almost entirely into obscurity. It is a genuine shame, because it absolutely deserves an audience. It isn't just worth listening to for the quality of the tracks—though, aside from Stephanie, I would also point to Crying in the Night, Long distance Winner, and Frozen Love—but rather for the chance to witness the actual "birth" of the sound and style that would make FM famous only a year later. This is essential listening for any devotee of Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, and naturally, for anyone following F. maca.

I believe I have a vague recollection of it somewhere... yes, indeed.

The entire experience is simply sublime. You sit there listening and you find yourself thinking, "My God, this is incredible." Honestly, on Stephanie, Buckingham really demonstrated his true mastery. At the end of the day, the band members are top-tier musicians; it stands to reason that they execute every note perfectly and ensure everything fits together seamlessly.

Seventy-three. Without them, the album is nothing more than mediocre. Mistery to me FM FM.
It seems to me that Nicks and Buckingham imparted a certain rustic, folk-inspired sensibility to the FM sound, even if Mac was the one calling all the shots.

😁 Oh, please! Just stop doing that ... look, you're talented, and it’s perfectly understandable that you'll slip up. This phase is simply part of the initiation process—an educational trial by fire that you have to endure firsthand to truly learn...
Stop wasting your breath 😉 honestly, who cares about such trivialities? Just let it go. If the ball doesn't roll into place in time, it rolls into place. Most people here aren't even staying on topic, and frankly, you might not even be able to keep up with all of them anyway. 😉

coppersailor28 said:Let’s be honest: "injustice" is nothing more than a subjective interpretation of what one perceives as "justice." It is entirely a matter of perspective.

Your interpretation is honest, I’ll give you that, but it is fundamentally flawed. It’s purely subjective, though I suppose there is some merit to it. lonetrucker4 knows exactly what I mean if he just chooses to aim a little lower.

coppersailor28 said:It is significantly easier for an individual within a group to adhere to that group's established rules than it is to actually "distribute justice" in a way that benefits the collective as a whole. Individual compliance is simple; true equity for the group is a much more complex, often avoided, endeavor.

The scale of the red zone is quite substantial, stretching from approximately 16° to 160° in both directions. If one is wondering about the specific context here, we are discussing the meridian.

Can I schedule my router's uptime? in IT Support ·
fadedorca66 said:Routers can be pretty versatile sometimes... Like, some let you block specific devices via their MAC address during certain hours or days and stuff like that. From what I can tell, this one unfortunately doesn't seem to have those options.

Right.

Generally speaking, your ISP can have complete access to functionality hidden far beyond what you see in the standard user menu. You simply have to be lucky enough that their technical support consists of actual engineers rather than mere script readers.

They could even throttle your Wi-Fi access based on your proximity to the router—since the system recognizes the MAC address of the repeater, obviously—depending on which device you are using.
You might find yourself with two identical devices where one works at any distance, while the other only functions if you are within a five or ten-foot radius, essentially staying in the same room. Companies like Comcast, however, tend to implement much heavier signal throttling.
In short, they could very well limit access just as you suggested; I am simply uncertain whether such restrictions are constant or if they offer the ability to set specific time windows.

It isn't anything groundbreaking; a terminal is a terminal, and the world is always at our fingertips.😉

Adam Harris2 said:Wait, what does "everything" mean? 🕺

Anyway, thanks everyone for the help and all the suggestions 👍

All connections (both RJ45 and Wi-Fi), though perhaps the primary wired connection remains active.
I would suggest calling technical support. They might possess the capability to configure the router so that the Wi-Fi shuts down at midnight and reactivates in the morning, or perhaps even weaken the signal strength.
Can I schedule my router's uptime? in IT Support ·
fadedorca66 As stated by:
From what I can gather, there doesn't seem to be a dedicated option to disable just the Wi-Fi on its own. It’s all just one big, messy heap of nothing.

🤣
What exactly did you expect? Did you honestly believe they would grant those kinds of privileges to the average user? It’s a naive assumption. If you have a second computer running in the meantime, you can always resolve the issue online. 😉

It really isn’t that complicated. One can simply wander over to the router in the middle of the night, apply a bit of magic to the buttons, and consider the matter settled by morning. It serves as excellent light exercise to ensure a peaceful sleep and a productive day ahead.

my dear sister 😁

Those five points aren't the issue; what matters is the vitality of life itself

And no... I am not suggesting 😁one should choose between either A or B

Some people grant far too much leeway—to avoid calling it a total mess in this digital space—instead of actually consulting the data. (To be clear, I am not targeting Zoran; he performs his duties with absolute excellence), yet even with predictive attempts, errors persist.
Experience suggests that regarding his response... well, forget about those five points... just let it go
but this isn't about the score; it's about the principle of injustice. do you see what I mean?

As for that collective thread regarding the card collection... please. I was docked 45 points for using the word "sidekick"—and this was directed at a moderator's assistant who holds moderator status himself 🤣 (that is not an opinion, but a fact)
It was entirely justified from a technical, semantic, and even historical standpoint...
much like the 25 points taken for "idiot"... 🤦

You know, the core issue isn't my desire to be right; it is simply that time invariably proves that I am.
Forgive me for speaking of myself... I merely wish to demonstrate that I have a profound understanding of Markkonen.

I will be traveling quite far away in a week, leaving for a significant amount of time, but I would hope to see some improvement in our dynamics upon my return. Best of luck to everyone.

P.S. Read the business section... then "judge."

P.P.S. Are we really playing this game of collecting cards?

goldenmason8 said:Honestly, if he's hunting for an old router, he should look for one that actually lets him do what he wants. Like, something with built-in scheduling, or maybe even OpenWRT if he doesn't want to go the hardware hack route, since he wouldn't even need to solder stuff or cut the power...

The goal here is everything centered around $20, specifically a $10 router and a $10 timer (either one of those old-school mechanical ones that hums slightly, or just a cheap $50 digital version)
I have zero interest in invasive setups or having to engage in any complex programming; I simply want to sync the router settings.

coppersailor28 Look, let’s be clear ... Markkonen is absolutely right ... there are rights, and there are obligations. The fact that certain individuals lack the capacity to grasp even the most basic concepts is a significant issue... specifically, an issue of correctness.

It boils down to one thing: a simple lack of respect.
Can I schedule my router's uptime? in IT Support ·
Adam Harris2 said:Hopefully I got this right 🐔

So, basically, is there any way to schedule my Wi-Fi access? I want to make sure nobody can hop online during the night

I tried to google it a bit, but I'm not really finding anything useful 🤔

It is possible, though you would need specific "tools" to grant you that level of control—you could always try reaching out to your ISP to see if they offer such features.
However, it is far simpler to just kill the Wi-Fi signal entirely. You could wire up a second router—perhaps pick up an old one from a thrift store—set it to an open network, and plug its power adapter into a simple mechanical timer... 😁

And then, of course, there is the version for those who prefer more advanced methods.

A more capable electronics enthusiast could simply wire a contact relay in parallel with the Wi-Fi power switch. You’d get an LED indicator to show when the signal is cut, and that would be that. Just use a timer... end of story.
If you manage to find one, I can send over an electronic schematic ... but you would have to actually crack open the router itself. It works perfectly, but unfortunately, you won't be able to achieve this through software alone.

🙂 I am in complete agreement with bluecyclist64. Tasty Bytes is fundamentally incapable of handling permanent moderation duties.

The very nature of how Tasty Bytes perceives these limitations—which I could easily demonstrate within various threads—is frankly terrifying; it effectively stifles any meaningful discourse.
While I believe he is a decent forum member, he has clearly failed to adapt to this specific role. He operates like an automaton, someone who doesn't actually manage the flow of conversation but merely reacts under pressure.

I am not asking for leniency or special treatment, simply basic correctness... a concept that seems entirely foreign to certain moderators... for a multitude of reasons that extend far beyond mere personal inhibitions.
