Haider has been killed in World ·
Peter Thul is that guy from Volkswagen who went on the record about everything regarding VW and that whole scandal... and let's be real—he didn't just decide to open his mouth without getting the green light from the higher-ups first... most likely straight from their marketing department...
Haider has been killed in World ·
Let’s be honest—a car built like that can handle those speeds without breaking a sweat...

But since we’re still living in an era where humans actually drive the cars—rather than being passengers in some autonomous fever dream—and considering the guy behind the wheel was cruising with a 0.18 BAC, I’m pretty sure the math here is pretty straightforward...

It’s pretty pathetic how he just swooped in here—completely out of nowhere—to call me a troll and a provocateur while questioning my actual technical grasp of energy systems...

And let’s be real, the peak of his "expertise" was pointing out some auxiliary wood-burning furnace used in a central heating setup just in case the heating oil freezes up...as if that’s some groundbreaking insight...

The bottom line is he was clearly just looking for any excuse to be insulting—and then he has the audacity to try and label everyone else...

Charles Gomez8 said:- true enough. -except it seems like everything you say just goes in one ear and out the other, leaving nothing behind but total nonsense.😁 -well, if you actually bothered to read, maybe you'd finally get what I was trying to tell you.😉

Yeah, I finally realized...

The whole idea was to call out the trolls and the provocateurs—you know, those people who just exist to stir the pot for no reason—and show everyone exactly who they were.

Uletati into a conversation just to throw out an insult—and then failing to back up that claim with even a single shred of evidence, let alone a coherent thought... honestly, it's just pathetic.

I know...

So, you’re just a troll looking for a reaction, aren't you?

Because you—much like your dear colleague here—just dropped some "fact" without having a single shred of evidence to back it up...

And honestly, the reason why is pretty obvious... you clearly don't grasp even the most basic technical concepts...

It’s also the standard playbook for people like you—you make a scene, then vanish into thin air once things get uncomfortable...

Truth be told, I can't even follow your logic... mostly because you haven't actually answered a single direct question... which is funny, really—you act like such a brilliant, high-and-mighty expert, the absolute master of insults and finger-pointing, yet you can't handle the simplest questions...

Maybe it’s a language barrier thing, too—looking at your background, it seems like you struggle with the basics of English...

But hey, there's an old saying for a reason: having enemies is usually a sign that you've actually accomplished something...

Look, you're entitled to your opinion, just like everyone else... though we all know that opinions are about as common as nostrils...

Charles Gomez8 said:- Like, did you seriously not catch what the guy was telling you? 👋 ........- I mean, if you can't wrap your head around that, then honestly, it's no wonder you're still stuck using wood or coal for heat despite all that big energy expertise you claim to have.🤣 - You might actually want to look into some other way to heat your place.😂

No, I don't get it... because apparently, I'm the one who's clueless here... while these two "experts" calling me out can't seem to produce a single shred of actual evidence to back it up.

You know what? You're right. Maybe I'll just switch to solar panels and call it a day. ;-)

Or stick to electricity... and just enjoy paying those astronomical utility bills.

Or go with natural gas... and live in constant fear of when they might decide to cut the supply.

Look, I'll give you this much—sure, it's probably dumber to rely on heating oil while using a wood stove as an alternative power source.

But since you're so enlightened, why don't you tell me: what exactly qualifies as an "alternative energy source" in your book?

Seriously, stay out of the energy business before you embarrass yourself even more... enough with the trolling and the cheap provocations.

Charles Gomez8 said:😂🤣- looks like he didn't even catch that part (👋). - that's exactly why I told you not to waste your breath on him, since nobody's taken anything he says seriously for ages. - and I don't just mean when it comes to power grids and stuff. - I mean, the guy probably still heats his place with a wood stove or something, so you can't even really be mad at him.😬

Fair point, I don't get it...

I can speak four different languages, but whatever this dialect is, it's completely lost on me...

It's not the language, nor the acronyms...

Just another day, another troll...

Anyway, I'm still sitting here waiting for some actual, relevant insight regarding energy trends... though at this rate, it's looking pretty hopeless...

As for whether he's being "serious"... well, some things really do speak for themselves...

granitemarlin77 said:Look, it isn't even about whether he gets energy or politics—it's the fact that the guy can't grasp the simplest concept, like when someone tells him to back off. But hey, I'm used to these types by now, so I don't even give them the time of day. Still, you've got a point.☕

Since I've already been branded as a total amateur, why don't you go ahead and answer my questions regarding energy...

Maybe the "big expert" here can enlighten me... much like he tried to do with the logistics side of things...

I live by one rule... and that is I don't cross paths with people who will do absolutely anything just to get what they want out of life...

Which is exactly why my latest SIG isn't a coincidence—it popped up as a rather interesting comment from a dear friend over at your favorite political party...

Charles Gomez8 said:Look, if you honestly think having 7k posts and a few smart-sounding comments makes you some kind of genius, then I don't even know what to tell you—maybe just, I don't know, get real for a second? We all saw right through you ages ago, man. You’re just a straight-up troll and a total know-it-all, and honestly, we pretty much make a habit of dropping by just to call you out on it. There's that saying, right? "The wise man lets it go, while the fool keeps pushing." So... yeah, feel free to keep pushing. Go ahead.😍

"When the tree bends"... is that some kind of weird regional proverb?

And who exactly is "we"?

Some hired squad of mercs tasked with writing whatever it takes to convince people of things that don't even exist?

That approach is pretty much doomed from the start...

It’s also funny how you called me ignorant regarding energy matters, yet when I actually offered an exchange of technical perspectives, there was absolutely zero feedback...

So, there's your look at trolls and provocateurs...

Let me repeat this for you one more time... anyone's reputation on a forum can be easily judged by their track record of bans and warnings...

And for the record, I never claimed to be a genius... I just said I know quite a bit about certain topics—mostly because I spent years studying them.

Besides, where did you get the idea that I have 7 tons of posts? You clearly don't grasp the basics of solar systems, yet here you are, calling me technically incompetent...

To reiterate: that's enough about trolls and provocateurs...

Look, when it comes to energy, we can always just fall back on the data... then we'll see who actually knows what they're talking about...

As for how serious I am—you’d be surprised... people tend to take me more seriously than someone who spends their time editing posts to plant ideas... or, you know, that guy with maybe 100 posts who just drops in out of nowhere like he owns the place...

Same old story, really—never any actual answers to be found around here.

And most importantly—you actually had the nerve to sit there and mock me and my expertise just because I have opinions on solar panels and setting up other renewable energy setups...

The second I throw a few actual, concrete questions your way, suddenly there’s nothing but radio silence...

Interesting, really... though I suppose it’s pretty symptomatic. It’s just another clear sign of how much they actually care—or rather, how ready they are to finally get things moving.

Look, whenever you're actually ready to dive into the weeds on energy—I mean the real technical, deep-dive stuff—just give me a shout.

Let’s just start with the basics—the whole system-environment thing...

Maybe we can throw in some details about installing solar setups down the road too—just a thought.

granitemarlin77 said:Of course you wouldn't—that's way outside your wheelhouse—but you still know damn well how much he plays the game.

People have talked endlessly about his shady ways—the brown-nosing, the grease, the whole routine—in plenty of deep dives dedicated solely to him.☕

You can tell just by looking at the guy and the way he talks... it's the same giveaway pattern you see when others show their own incompetence through that exact same rhetoric...

Now, there is a massive difference between not knowing how to steal like he does and simply being good at hiding it.

I've learned that ignorant people tend to just gloss right over the facts, so I'm honestly not surprised by your post...

As for those little icons, you're right—an educated person doesn't quite grasp why they exist... though really, it just comes down to basic upbringing... because it's hard to wrap your head around blatant lies, deception, and setups...

That's just not how I was raised to live or act.

granitemarlin77 said:Nah, those icons describe how I feel reading your posts in general, regardless of what we're actually talking about. And honestly, just like you said:

...except you can't seem to find any education even if it were handed to you on a silver platter.☕

Oh sure, yet another energy expert🤣—funny how such a "massive" expert hasn't installed anything powered by Solar energy or renewables at his own place... But hey, I guess that requires a bit more actual knowledge than what you're bragging about.🙄

I'm not interested in sinking down to this level of bickering over credentials. Though, I guess you're an "expert" in that area too.
☕

Solar energy?

Now you've actually made me laugh... truly showcasing your intellect here...

There are plenty of reasons why I’d never go down that road...

And while you're at it, why don't you explain to me what exactly solar is, or what other type of renewable resource I could have possibly installed...

Just tell me, what's the actual ROI on building out solar panels?

Maria Murphy said:Don't be an idiot. That Commission was headed by Nenad Stazic, who's a member of that Democratic Party... you know, the ones with the initials... Democratic Party: The Ethics Commission has indisputably confirmed that companies owned by Chačić or his wife, Mary, secured 63 contracts with state agencies totaling roughly $32 million. But hey, when it’s Chačić, it’s clearly not a conflict of interest, right? Especially since he told the Commission they were just a "bunch of idiots"... The Commission has even filed formal complaints regarding several of those deals...
Of course not, since we're dealing with your useless, toxic political hacks. If it were about "my" Ivan, he’d be trying to get a PhD on the subject—especially since you already have one in the bag...

Here's a little more...
Josip Leko from the Democratic Party gave an extensive and well-argued speech at... Catholic Radio Here we have a dangerous criminal hiding behind a sharp suit. As the Governor of Varaždin County and a former Secretary of Housing, Radimir Čačić ran afoul of the Conflict of Interest Law when his companies under the Coning group secured twelve contracts worth $20 million from the very department he used to run. Now, he’s been ordered to publish a public notice in the Varaždin County official gazette—where he currently holds office—to admit to this breach. Leko exposed the little trick Čačić played: he essentially self-reported to the Ethics Commission, asking them to decide if handing over ownership and management of his firms to someone else actually cleared him of a conflict. It was nothing more than a smoke screen to hide the real corruption from the public. If that’s not the truth, then Leko says Radimir Čačić needs to release the full, unredacted report written by the federal Conflict of Interest Commission...

You clearly forgot that Chačić had a string of successful companies long before all this... He was actually one of the most effective managers out there...

Of course, he still owes money in San Francisco, San Diego, and Israel—that much is common knowledge. And it’s not like he defaulted for some legitimate reason; he straight-up swindled people. He only got away with it because of the statute of limitations... which makes you wonder what kind of "rule of law" we're actually living under when dealing with such trash.

Meanwhile, you have people running the country who were nothing more than penniless nobodies before they arrived in America, and their only real claim to fame is a string of failed businesses overseas...

Yeah, and which one would that be?

I don't rely on gas; I stick to wood and heating oil... Given my background in the energy sector, I actually understand the risks involved...

It’s fine that there isn't a single gas line in your neck of the woods... as long as you're the expert.

Aha, so I'm the idiot... and you're absolutely right, because clearly Nenad Stazic isn't biased by party lines...

What's the makeup of the members?

It seems you can't even read anymore... I never defended Chačić... I wrote that he's been covered in grease from every side... please, try reading with some actual comprehension...

Go ahead, take a guess at which gentleman was the "successful" foreign entrepreneur...

My neighborhood has gas too, you'd never know... but anyone with half a brain knows that gas isn't profitable here due to the long-term situation—at least not in terms of how it's being utilized... but then again, you have to be educated to grasp something like that...

I don't know what makes you more pathetic... the fact that you're trying to insult me, or that you're sinking so low as to insult the USA just to get a dig in at me...

I'm familiar with this kind of spitting... does it have something to do with that political party in power that you're so obsessed with?

granitemarlin77 said:He doesn't "need" to because he's already greased his own palms. Plus, he's one of those reps that a Congressional investigative committee actually flagged for conflict of interest when awarding contracts to his own companies.☕

Look, it's true that Chafee is incredibly smooth... and yeah, the conflict of interest commission did flag him... but since that commission is basically just a party committee at this point—not that I’m getting too deep into the weeds here—

You’re completely ignoring the reality that Chafee had highly successful businesses long before all this... he was actually one of the most capable managers out there...

Meanwhile, you've got people running the entire USA who were absolute nobodies before they entered government service, and their only real claim to fame is managing failed companies overseas...

Look, I already told you what's what—then and now—and I'm not about to go in circles repeating myself. As for your supposed "expertise"? Don't even get me started.
Why don't you open up the floodgates like your buddy who started this thread? Let's see if you've actually got what it takes to run for President.☕

You really nailed it with those emojis; they perfectly capture my mood whenever I have to wade through your little theories... especially when you start rambling about energy policy...

And just to be clear, I'm not getting worked up over natural gas—it's the wood and heating oil that bother me... look, energy is my field, so I actually understand the risks involved here...

The truth is, everything you've said is nothing but lies and planted misinformation... everyone on this board has seen your little playbook more than a few times by now...

granitemarlin77 said:Look, you're known for being a jerk, so I'm gonna do what I always do—skip your posts and all that nonsense you list. Problem solved.☕

Oh, you're absolutely right—I’m famous for editing my posts just so I can weaponize them later to spread lies and plant false info...

The real issue here is that you're digging your heels in on a topic you clearly know nothing about, only to run headfirst into someone who actually knows their stuff...

So, naturally, you decided it was easier to just throw an insult rather than deal with questions that your precious little ego can't answer...

And we all know how you handle a debate—I remember back when we were talking about those highway regulations... that same user and his "expert" opinion were somehow more authoritative than an entire panel of professionals and academic studies...

As for the whole "insulting" accusation, I've already told you... just take a look at the moderation logs and see who’s actually racking up warnings and bans... and why... then you'll see exactly who's being toxic and who's actually trying to have a civilized conversation.

granitemarlin77 said:The Russia-Ukraine mess hasn't just hit them—it’s dragged the whole of Europe right into the mud, us included. Honestly? We're probably holding our own better than places like Canada, Mexico, Mexico, North Mexico, Bulgaria, or Romania... but let's be real, we're still nowhere near as ready as the folks in Canada, Italy, Canada, or Austria.
Heard some guy on the radio yesterday saying one EU country (can't remember which one, honestly) has already filed a lawsuit against Ukraine at the international court. Apparently, it’s all because of the economic fallout from those gas supply contracts getting choked off.☕

Why is it that we always—regardless of how well things are actually going—insist on comparing ourselves to the absolute bottom of the European barrel?

No offense intended to anyone...

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter who has how much gas sitting in their reserves. What matters is how you handle the crisis when it hits, how you face the music, and ultimately, what your long-term energy strategy looks like...

You’re always leaving things hanging mid-sentence. Just finish the damn thought! Well, assuming you're actually capable of connecting the beginning of a sentence to its end. Though, honestly, why bother? Your thoughts aren't exactly complex; they're incredibly basic.

For the record, I understand everything perfectly fine. The issue isn't my comprehension—it's that even though these are *your* thoughts, you clearly don't even understand them yourself.

It's funny how most other people seem to follow me... but I guess simplicity manifests through complexity...

I see this confuses you quite often...

But then again, you've drifted off-topic... which is your go-to move whenever you can't handle the feedback...

So you just start throwing out incorrect data instead...

Like that time recently when you insisted utility rates wouldn't go up until next year—do you not even check your own bills? Or do your parents handle all that, so you're just totally out of the loop?

Try fact-checking your claims before you post... if you aren't going to try and look smart, at least try looking credible...
