Hey everyone, I just had an idea pop into my head and I'm wondering if it's actually doable. How would I pull this off? Basically, I want to set up a partition on an external hard drive that can boot various OS versions like Windows 7, 8, and so on. Is that even possible? Instead of messing around with USB sticks and installing everything from scratch on every machine, could I just boot directly from the HDD and start the installation on different computers?
Hey everyone, quick question—I’m looking for a laptop around the $2,500 mark. It’s mostly just gonna be for basic stuff like Microsoft Office, handling faxes, and catching some movies. What would be the best bang for my buck at that price point?
Hey guys, I need some help picking out a graphics card. Any suggestions? $433 I'm planning on making the jump to Ryzen soon, but for right now, I’d probably just pick up a graphics card. $433 Current setup: AMD Phenom II X4 965, HD 7770 graphics, and a 500W power supply. What do you guys think?
So I’ve run into this super weird keyboard issue lately. For some reason, AltGr+V isn't giving me the @ symbol anymore. Everything is set up correctly for my American layout, and all my other key combos are working perfectly fine. I know I can just use Alt+64 if I really have to, but man, it’s driving me nuts. This is happening on Windows 10, and I've already tested it with two different keyboards, so it’s gotta be a Windows thing. Any help would be huge!
I set everything up, but when I run the test, it keeps saying "selected port is not open." Honestly, I’m at a total loss here. What else am I supposed to do?
Hey, quick question—whenever I try to fire up Tungle, it keeps telling me my NAT type is blocking the connection. So, I headed over to the port forwarding settings and opened everything up exactly like the manual said, but even after logging in as a user, nothing's working. I'm totally stuck. Anyone got any advice or a fix? Thanks!
Hey guys, I’m dealing with this super weird internet issue. I’m on AT&T using a Thompson TG782i router, and basically, everything works fine until it just suddenly freezes up. It’s not even like the connection actually drops—it just hangs. But then, if I jump on my phone via Wi-Fi and open any webpage, everything suddenly snaps back to normal and starts working again. Then, about half an hour or an hour later, it happens all over again. I don't get it, because it's definitely not your typical connection drop. Has anyone else run into something like this?
I know the drill—you call them up to swap out your router, but my situation is a bit of a mess. Right now, I’m stuck with 10 Mbps because I’m way too far from the local hub, which they use as an excuse to keep me on a slower plan. But here's the kicker: I've had this exact speed for over a year without any issues, yet lately, the connection has been dropping constantly. It works perfectly fine all day long, but once evening hits, it just dies and starts dropping like crazy. Honestly, I feel like I'm getting the runaround. Anyone got some actual advice on how to handle them?
My main issue is just having way too many of these to put together. I was really hoping there was some kind of fix to speed things up, but hey, thanks anyway.
I just finished installing the OS on a fresh, legit copy, but I can't get any updates to pull through. I tried using WSU Offline, but it's useless—it just hangs indefinitely at "listing ids of missing updates." Meanwhile, Windows itself gets stuck on "checking for updates" forever. I even let it run for two hours straight, but absolutely nothing happens. Anyone got a clue what's going on?
I managed to get the trackpad working through the BIOS by enabling the mousepad and keyboard settings, but my mouse is still totally dead. It’s happening in both Safe Mode and normal mode—it's super weird. An external mouse works fine, so why is this one just refusing to cooperate?
So I just had my laptop in for a repaste, and now I’m dealing with this super weird issue. The keyboard works perfectly fine in the BIOS, but once I boot into macOS, it completely stops responding. Any idea what’s going on? I'm totally lost here, can anyone help me out?
I need a laptop for work. It’s super important that it’s actually fast—I can't deal with any lag when I'm just doing basic stuff like multimedia, Office, or browsing. Any help would be huge!
Look, like I said before, you get exactly what’s laid out right there. You hit the nail on the head—there aren't any hidden hoops to jump through or extra requirements beyond what's already listed. Thanks!
