Spot on. Already told my crew, so I'll tell you too. When our numbers drop and your crowd quality tanks, it ain't about repression—it's because American soccer is absolute garbage right now.
Outside of some hardcore core of a few hundred people on both sides, most people show up for the actual game. That’s why crowds swell when there's a big, flashy matchup.
But what's left of our soccer? Basically nothing. You get an occasional decent match, but it's buried under rigged officiating, constant whining, and pure negativity. It's impossible for a regular fan who just wants to watch the sport to actually enjoy it or cheer from the heart. Everyone knows who's pulling the strings and why the game is even played here.
Half the time it's such a drag you're just counting down the minutes until it ends. Don't blame people for shitty cheering; it's just the fallout from losing faith in the whole damn sport.
People cheer out of loyalty to the club or to use the stands as a platform for protests. We've already hit that stage, so our guys spend most of the game trashing Šmrki and his crew. You guys still have some growing to do.
