Whatever, honestly—one lucky break caused by random weekend chaos doesn't prove anything about who the best driver actually is. You've got the current leader, then you've got Ricciardo looking like a hero at Monza after Max Verstappen let Lewis Hamilton dive right past him, not to mention Esteban Ocon's run in Canada after that total disaster. It's impossible to even pick one when there's such a massive pool of supposedly "elite" drivers. Besides, what does the term "best driver" even mean in a sport that relies so heavily on stuff that has nothing to do with actual driving talent? There’s just a guy who happens to have the most points this season. Right now, that's Max Verstappen. End of story.

He managed to dodge a penalty by ensuring he didn't just force Lewis off the track, but effectively pushed himself out of the equation as well🙂
The stewards were frantically digging through the rulebooks, which was made even more difficult
due to the fact they didn't have access to the most reliable footage—specifically Max’s T-cam camera😵

What exactly is wrong with this season?😕 Not enough explosions??

Racing without the dirty moves, the brainless officiating, the endless whining—and let's be real, the constant excuses from Wolff and Horner about how "one side just has a massive advantage."

Just shut up, drive the damn car, and get on with it.

The stewards decided not to issue a penalty since there wasn't a camera angle showing exactly what Max was doing with the steering wheel. It makes me wonder why that specific footage didn't make its way to them. I suspect they'll revisit this later. I wouldn't be surprised if the "no penalty" ruling changes once the right video surfaces. Once that footage is available, it will likely prove his actions were intentional.

Look, Masi is just the race director, not some damn judge. The stewards make the calls—he just hops on the radio to Red Bull or Mercedes and mumbles some useless nonsense just to get them off his back.
Honestly, this thread is way more interesting than the actual race itself. 😂
Tsunoda just copped two penalty points after that mess with Stroll: https://www.racefans.net/2021/11/14/...n-with-stroll/
It honestly pisses me off watching team radio with Michael Masi—all that whining and groveling from both sides is just gross.

🙄

Yeah, well—maybe for me and anyone else who actually expects him to do the job he was hired to do.
Drew Bennett68 said:It’s pretty obvious, isn't it? Red Bull is looking a little thin on cash lately.

Honestly, makes even less sense why they haven't cut him loose yet.

Need me to elaborate?

Perez is mostly just mediocre with the occasional flash of talent. Why they kept him at Red Bull Racing is a total mystery—probably just because a wealthy Mexican sponsor keeps the lights on. Honestly, Gasly would’ve been a much tougher fight against Mercedes-Benz, but nope, better to just kick a guy out of the seat if he doesn't deliver results the second he sits down. You reap what you sow ☕
Max says he struggled because he was stuck on a harder compound—total nightmare.
Perez doesn't even care about helping Sainz out with those trashed tires. 🤦
Would they seriously just keep running with the same wing after getting DQ'd for it? Like, then they’d just have to DQ him again right after the sprint ends. Some people's logic is straight-up quantum physics at this point. 🙏

Anyway, both of them deserved the penalty.
If Newey & Co. were already breathing down the officials' necks about Mercedes before qualifying even started, I honestly don't get why Max's logic was to go wandering around like Inspector Clouseau after the session ended. What exactly did he think he was going to prove by eyeballing things himself?! Unless his whole goal was just to signal to the crowd that Mercedes might be messing with the DRS. Either way—total rookie move that could totally backfire on him. He’d have been way smarter to play dumb and just let the "official institutions do their jobs" 😂

I really hope that if they actually find anything, it's just a fine and not some grid penalty.
What a plot twist. 🍿

Now they’re just dragging out the decision until the absolute last second to try and manufacture some drama—not that the sprint format isn't already total garbage anyway.

#F1: Taking a look at what @redbullf1france is saying—just an hour before qualifying kicks off, Paul Monaghan and Adrian Newey headed over to the headquarters. Their claim? The Mercedes-Benz rear wing flap is flexing way too much at 162 miles/h (via AMuS).

So, basically, they were snooping.

Haha, I knew Christian Horner/Red Bull Racing would sue. 😂 Jeez, even that’s getting predictable at this point.
Just saw a killer take on this whole DRS situation: "Every single weekend, Mercedes comes up with a brand new strategy to throw away a championship." 😵
Drew Bennett68 said:Well, isn't that just just typical? It turns out Hamilton's DRS failed inspection:

“The uppermost rear wing element adjustable positions were checked on car number 44 for compliance with Article 3.6.3 of the 2021 Formula 1 Technical Regulations,” Bauer noted. “The requirement for the minimum distance was fulfilled. But the requirement for the maximum of 85mm, when the DRS system is deployed and tested in accordance with TD/011-19, were not fulfilled.”

Talk about a bombshell!

😂

Finally something interesting today—honestly, those qualifying rounds were probably the most boring I've seen in forever.

EDIT: Wait, who the hell actually sued Horner? 😂
I’m honestly feeling like an old man here—super stoked that everything’s kicking off a bit earlier this weekend. Let’s just blame the daylight savings shift for why I’m already exhausted.

Just look at how classy Max is being toward your precious little golden boy!!!

Way different from how Lewis treats Hamilton.

I bet he’s even more beloved now than he was after the race in Budapest. 🤣
👍 just for the intro and some predictions. Fingers crossed McLaren actually pulls it together this time—we'll see!
