Oh, please. Those filthy heathens are always getting way too hyperactive whenever philosophy comes up.

Just kidding 👋

You’re basically our resident dark sorcerer😁

By the way, if you’re planning on hosting some BDSM dungeon sessions in your basement, don't hold your breath finding a witch willing to pick up the whip... at least not if they actually follow that whole "do no harm" philosophy....😁

Brrrr... alright then, let's turn up the heat just a little bit more. 🙂

Thanks in advance.

Maybe it’s just a matter of taste... but if I’m being completely honest, your dog looks like he belongs in some ultra-conservative, old-school suburban nightmare.😛

I’ve got a little kitten here for him; let him play with it so he doesn't look quite so miserable.

Parenting in the new millennium? in Spirituality ·
I don't have kids, nor do I want them for at least the next decade.
I’m hoping that by then, I will completely outgrow this urge to raise others—because honestly, for the sake of everyone involved, the best thing you can do is NOT raise them... unless they explicitly demand it from us.😛

As for that "ancestral faith" rowdydriver52 was bringing up, I might consider imposing it on my future children just as a bit of a wicked trick: to make them suffer enough that they eventually seek out their own autonomous spirituality, carving a path through bloody thorns that feels far sweeter than living in shackles.😁 😁 😁

When I see what desperate mothers and fathers do to their offspringwith the best of intentions—forcing things upon them just because they can—it really isn't a mystery to me why the world is so incredibly fucked up.

It's that same cycle of behavior inherited from our parents' homes that gets forced onto others in our interpersonal relationships🙄... whether it's being lectured about "the right way" to live, or being completely neglected and ignored....

And more often than not, we end up making those exact same stupid mistakes againwhen it comes to raising ourselves.

************

I am fully aware that after making these statements, some parent is going to jump down my throat with the usual "Oh, you wouldn't know, since you don't have kids..." routine... following whatever clichés their brain dictates.

I'd suggest they save their ink if they only plan on typing just to spite my opinions.
My response to that is simple: 2up:

Hmm, let me paint a more vivid picture for you: I’d be dancing around a bonfire with a spear in hand, smearing myself in the warm blood of a freshly sacrificed fox, scrawling sigils onto my thighs with charcoal, screaming at the top of my lungs, and then sinking my teeth into someone's throat... just to finally feel something.

Genetics vs. Spirituality: Can they coexist? in Spirituality ·
I’m with you on that—every single one of those combinations is totally viable.
That being said, I can’t help but feel that the odds are significantly lower when you’re dealing with particularly difficult parents—or more broadly, when you're up against a broken system and a dysfunctional society at large.
Some parents actively sabotage their own children, poisoning their development from the start. It’s a cycle of dysfunction that doesn't just stop with one generation; those kids grow up to pass that same imbalance down to their own offspring. It’s like a systemic failure of character. This toxic energy—this absolute hellscape of emotional instability—eventually boils over, and when it does, the explosion is inevitable.
Through wars, revolutions, patriarchal tyranny, chauvinism, sadism, organized crime, fascism, and sheer humiliation...
Faith, intolerance, and all that other nonsense... it just goes on and on.
It most likely boils down to sheer immaturity, compounded by an excessive and far too prolonged dose of systematic mistreatment.

Yeah... I find myself feeling exactly the same way more often than I care to admit.
What I was trying to get at in my previous point was essentially aligned with what Pandora mentioned. Those colorful expressions I used—calling someone a "body meant for kissing ass" or having a "brain meant for post-mortem fruit punch"—were intended more as a bit of sharp-tongued mockery directed at the so-called "ideal." It was satire, plain and simple.

Finding true inner peace—that elusive state where we finally feel aligned with... (three dots)... is a pursuit that demands more than just wishful thinking. It requires a deliberate, almost surgical approach to how we navigate our daily lives.
It isn't even remotely easy while we’re stuck being this fragmented—just drifting around full of what you called "negative energy" and pure chaos.

When you take a hard look at everything—when you actually listen to the noise and feel the weight of all the garbage being thrown around—it isn't always easy to hold onto your faith. And I don't just mean religious faith; I’m talking about having faith in your own worth. It becomes a genuine struggle to maintain your sense of value and to stay grounded, decent, and sane while all this chaos is unfolding right in front of us.

Yes, I hear you. "Finding inner peace and emotional stability is the true path to ensuring that nothing from the outside world can shake us or knock us off course"... honestly, that’s the answer right there.
But let’s be honest—that is easier said than done. It is incredibly difficult to find that footing when we are constantly being bombarded by a relentless stream of negativity from the outside world. It feels like we aren't even granted a single moment of reprieve, let alone a second of peace, to actually turn inward and focus on building our own sense of internal security and mental clarity.
If life were easy, we wouldn't be human. We’d be gods, or angels, or some other divine entity altogether. But that isn't the reality we live in, is it?

It’s a pattern we see all over the country, isn't it? We all know those people who seemingly have it all—the high-flying career at a firm like Goldman Sachs, the sprawling suburban estate in Connecticut, the luxury SUVs parked in the driveway—and yet, they are perpetually miserable. They carry this heavy cloud of dissatisfaction wherever they go, acting as if the world owes them something more, even though they've already checked every box on the traditional American dream checklist. It’s a fascinating, albeit frustrating, study in human nature.
At first glance, you might think they’re the kind of people who could just sit back, find some inner peace, and focus on their spiritual growth without being constantly rattled by the chaos of global affairs. It looks idyllic, right? Like they’ve found some sort of sanctuary away from the mess of the world. But let me tell you—don't be fooled. If you bother to peel back that polished, shiny surface and actually look at what's going on underneath, it becomes painfully obvious that they aren't nearly as composed as they pretend to be. Far from it. It turns out, even they can't escape the friction.

Hmm... let me think about this... if you look at something like the Tibetan Book of the Dead, it suggests that we actually get a say in which PM we emerge from during rebirth... it all depends on your karmic inertia, or whatever that technical term for it is...

Then again, if we approach this from a different angle... what does an "ideal" genotype or phenotype even mean? I’m talking about the complete set of genes we carry—that entire blueprint of traits resulting from gene expression...😕 😕 😉 😁

Are we talking about the kind of physical specimen that would be showcased in a high-end Smithsonian exhibit, or perhaps the kind of brain that everyone would scramble to preserve in a museum of great minds after death?😲 ....or is there more to it than that?

"When it comes to my physical self, I’ve treated it as an instrument of my own identity. I’ve trained it, made it supple and agile, and truly mastered its specific capabilities and strengths. Nature wasn't stingy with me, but she didn't just hand me everything on a silver platter either; I had to take what I was given and refine it to serve my ultimate purpose.

Because I am dedicated to this path, I felt entitled to seek out whatever tools were necessary. Naturally, I looked for the kind of aesthetic beauty that would command a man's gaze and hold his attention. But instead of relying on surface-level looks, I was gifted with intuition and imagination. From those gifts, I forged a unique brand of beauty all my own.

(.....)

I have never been, nor will I ever be, a "modern" woman. Don't get me wrong—I don't hate fashion, and it certainly suits some people, but it simply isn't my lane.
Some argue that anything following a trend is artificial, merely a product of craftsmanship, but they couldn't be more wrong. People chase trends because novelty is inherently stimulating.
But I? I am the eternal woman, tapping into that ancient, archetypal feminine energy. I don't try to appeal to the conscious, educated mind that modern trends target. Instead, I speak directly to that primal, prehistoric instinct buried deep within every man's soul, and my allure is designed to be irresistible.

....... enough of this 😁 😁

That was written in what seems to be a sort of autobiographical novel by a certain mystic living in the early 1900s back in the States.

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure where the line is drawn between a sorceress and a witch... though I suspect the common denominator is that neither should ever act like a total bitch, even if they occasionally need to pull that card when the situation calls for it.

And as we can see, the distinction between a true female sorceress and a true female witch seems to be practically non-existent!
😁

"To the woman who saw no distinction between prosperity and scarcity,
I possessed an abundance of resources at my disposal, and I wielded them specifically to craft a mystical persona in the eyes of men—to manipulate how they perceived me, ensuring they saw exactly what I intended.

After all, most people aren't born with the capacity to peer into a soul, let alone decipher the subtle machinations of the mind; however, one can certainly influence them to believe whatever we desire simply through visual cues.
Such an influence is far more potent than anything conveyed through speech, because men rarely trust words—they are far too practiced in their own deceptions.

I understood precisely how little a true practitioner needs to manifest their magic, yet I realized I had to direct my will toward a man's imagination, which required a stage upon which to perform.

I had to compel them to see a devotee within me, otherwise, in their estimation, I would never truly be one. To achieve this, I had to surround myself with everything that suggested a grand, storied past—an era when the traditions I follow were at the absolute zenith of their power—so that their thoughts would drift toward those legends, awakening a shared sense of reverence until we were finally operating on the same frequency.

And so, piece by piece, I curated ancient artifacts salvaged from old temples; I made sure to preserve them in light that wasn't so harsh as to dissipate their essence, but rather soft enough to concentrate their energy and permeate the very air around them, much like the way incense smoke saturates a room.

I also utilized color, deeply understanding its psychological grip on the mind—both my own and the minds of those who came to visit me.
There is a science to color, and we categorize them under ten distinct banners: the seven planets, the cosmos, the zodiac, and the earth itself.
Then there are the four elemental realms, but that is a different study entirely.

Keeping my objective firmly in mind, I employed colors that mirrored the moon’s transition into silver: deep plum, reds that leaned toward crimson or burnt umber, and blues reminiscent of the deep ocean or a midnight sky. I avoided the garish, primary colors that men typically use when they attempt their own crude sorcery.
My palette was always composed of shadows and muted, blended tones, for I am the shadow in the background.

Come on, Copernicus, admit it: you can't explain this simply because you're too busy trying to cook up some fancy, high-brow intellectual definition 🙂 🙂 🙂

Well, since you haven't managed to get to the point yet, I'll do it for you:

It seems to me that wizards (and is that a nod toward practitioners of traditional European ritual magic???😉 ) tend to recoil from stage magic.

Witches (those whose magic and spirituality are deeply rooted in the earth) are more than happy to weave that very art into their practices 😁 😁 😁
