I see where you're coming from. It seems inevitable that certain fanboys will flock to a series like The Walking Dead just to intentionally tank its rating, wouldn't you agree?

Still sitting at 9.6, isn't it?

Fair point, that was my mistake. I believe it’s some sort of documentary that just got released, or something to that effect. It should be available for download regardless.

It's currently at a 9.7, though the sample size for votes is still pretty small. Meanwhile, the new season of Game of Thrones has officially kicked off as well.

Walter Grant5 said:Anyone ever stumble across an actual expert—in any field—who doesn't just talk in complete, unhinged riddles? I'm talking about someone who actually explains things without using impossible jargon. Emphasis on "stumble across."

That's the idea. ☕

Well, they would have to be. ☕

We’re all sitting here laughing, but honestly, who knows what they're actually going through right now

Perhaps this is simply the hand they were dealt. I caught some photos of them on CNN—were those twins from somewhere in Lebanon?

Word on the street is those twins from San Diego got into a heated argument just because they both have a crush on the same NFL player. 🤣

That’s exactly right; that is how you actually build up immunity, isn't it? It certainly isn't happening with kids these days—if a piece of toast hits the floor, they look at it like it's been contaminated by some biohazard. ☕

We need to bring back the military. 🙂
Why does this bother you so much? If we look at this objectively, there are really only two things at play here: first, the undeniable fact that you attempted to make a false accusation against another user back in your initial post, and second, your specific interpretation of his wording. It seems your grievance stems from something you personally took offense to—something he might have intended, or perhaps he didn't—but since none of us can actually read minds, how can we be sure? Is it not more significant that your entire complaint is rooted in that initial false accusation?

Do you see what I mean? Your entire protest is built upon a falsehood, which ultimately makes the whole argument fall apart.
I feel compelled to address the falsehoods being spread by Alex; suggesting that a gangbang is synonymous with sexual assault is an entirely baseless accusation that lacks any shred of reality. A gangbang is simply a consensual sexual encounter involving multiple participants—typically one woman with several men, or one man with several women. I am merely stepping in to ensure that the misinformation provided by Alex isn't accepted as fact, because if we are discussing disciplinary action, we must acknowledge that this is a matter of consensual activity rather than violence, which effectively nullifies her entire complaint.

I honestly couldn't care less about that particular user; if you feel the need to penalize them for using terms like "gangbang" in a political discussion, then go right ahead. However, I intend to report Alex for spreading these blatant lies and presenting false "facts," and I sincerely hope she is held accountable for it.

There's zero difference in intelligence 😁 if you actually bother to train them. It all comes down to how you raise them, whether you're dealing with dogs, cats, or even a hamster.

Exactly—when we step away from politics, anything seems possible. ☕

I honestly struggle to understand people who are capable of abandoning those poor little souls on the street. What kind of person could possibly do something like that? I recently came across a situation in an animal welfare thread where I was helping another member sort out some issues regarding a dog she wanted to keep. The owner used to beat the dog daily, starving it and denying it even basic water... The dog eventually escaped, and she found it at a Greyhound station, brought it home, and gave it everything it needed. When the owner found out, he started causing trouble and demanding the dog back (the woman clearly didn't have anyone else to vent her frustrations on), but he has since calmed down and dropped his claims. ☕As it stands, she has kept the little guy. ☕

That’s why we have domestic dogs and cats—they exist for us.

And you still don't get why you're dismissing the sense of smell.

Same goes for living with a dog, except somehow people actually know how to handle them.
If training a dog requires authority, then raising a child is just as much about discipline.

Dogs can actually bond emotionally with their owners. Cats just act out of pure self-interest.
Choosing who I want by my side isn't a hard decision.

That sounds like something someone could only say if they’ve never actually lived with a cat. 🙄 I have two absolute gems of cats that I rescued from the streets, and believe me, they are perfectly capable of forming emotional connections. In fact, they’re so reliable you could practically set your watch by them—meowing at the door at 6 AM, 3 PM, and 8 PM sharp.

restlesssurfer97 said:Oh, so now he finally realizes it, and his big plan is to lock the poor dog in some dark, miserable shed all night long.
Basically, the neighbor is blaming the dog for not being "good enough" for the owner's house, so he decides to punish him by tossing him in a shack in the middle of the night.

And get this—this whole thing somehow racked up 4,000 likes, and people are actually flooding the comments with photos of their own pets.

Honestly, we don't even need any political reform or anything, because when people have nothing better to do than obsess over this kind of nonsense, who cares if we're complaining about Biden or Trump? 😕

And whenever I suggest that things are actually going well for us, I’m immediately labeled a troll... 🙄

The absolute peak of absurdity was when the entire country spent an entire week fixated on some comment made by the President's wife. ☕

Bryan Booth said:Just try to wrap your head around this scenario for a second: what if, after the next election, we end up with Donald Trump as Prime Minister and George Santos running the Treasury? Imagine the absolute chaos that would look like.

It would likely unfold as something somewhere between a psychological horror, a heavy drama, and a dark comedy.

Jeffrey Jones2 said:What exactly is so funny about this? It feels like you totally misread the article.

I’d bet money that the actual study just says left-footed players tend to be more creative, and all this "it's the gene for genius!" nonsense was just cooked up by some hack journalists looking for a clickbait headline.

You clearly missed the point of the post; it was nothing more than pure trolling.
steelmarlin19 said:I totally agree—there are so many factors that determine whether someone becomes successful or famous! Absolutely!

But neither you, nor me, nor anyone else CAN succeed—regardless of hard work or circumstances—if they simply DON'T HAVE the talent for it.

And talent? You're born with it. You either "get" it or you don't.

So, what's the actual CAUSE behind why one person is born with a specific talent while another isn't?

Who's calling the shots there? 🤔

What I am saying is that I believe everyone—or at least most people, if we set aside those who were unfortunately born with certain neurological disorders or similar conditions—starts with a baseline potential that we all have to cultivate. Sure, for someone like Mozart, that starting point was much more advanced than yours might be, but who can say for certain that you wouldn't achieve more in that field despite a lack of natural musicality? There is no guarantee that you couldn't surpass him; there is only the assumption, and an assumption alone isn't enough for me. We are shaped from our earliest days, where every single event, every closed door, and every wrong turn contributes to our development and leads us toward our eventual path.

Well, at least that is my perspective on the matter. While this logic might not apply to raw athletic talent like football or basketball, in this particular context, I feel I am right.
steelmarlin19 said:Actually, the answer is YES!

If that were true, everyone would be famous, legendary, and a total genius—it's that simple.

Life shows us pretty clearly that’s just not how it works. Quite the opposite, actually! 🍿

True, but I think you might be looking at this a bit too superficially. You argue that life proves this point, but is that entirely accurate when we consider someone like Perelman versus a child in a developing nation who doesn't even have a loaf of bread? You see, Perelman had the luxury of dedicating his entire existence to refining his innate talents, whereas a child in a remote part of Africa doesn't have that privilege; their priority is simple survival rather than solving Poincaré's conjectures. Because people aren't starting from the exact same circumstances, can we really say certain individuals are simply "chosen"? It’s more that some, like Perelman, possessed both high intelligence and an intense, almost antisocial focus on their work from a very young age. If I may ask, were you truly able to maintain that level of singular focus, or were you constantly being pulled away by external distractions that drained your energy, your time, and your concentration? Who is to say you wouldn't have achieved greatness yourself if you had been able to commit one hundred percent?

So, we have to account for personality traits, life circumstances, and environmental influences... and that is only a small fraction of the whole story. My view is that a vast number of people possess that initial spark within them that could allow them to rise above the surface, but the tragedy is that they are often held back by the various struggles life throws their way.
