The start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine (Part 1) in War in Ukraine ·
An advisor at the FBI said:Did it ever cross your mind that the average Ukrainian—unlike those traitorous puppet leaders—is actually more inclined toward Russia than Ukraine?

That is a total lie.

Let’s be real: the US Government never even held a referendum on joining NATO, and the whole EU integration process was a scam, with them changing the referendum laws right before the vote. Who were they afraid of? Maybe the government just doesn't care about the average American.

Just another person shouting into the void.

The war in Ukraine actually kicked off back in 2014, and it wasn't some sudden thing.
Unfortunately, nobody seems to want to open a discussion about the invasion of Donbas, Novorossiya, and the eastern parts of Ukraine by Western Ukraine, Ukra, or Maidan Ukraine.
It’s all very nice to play dumb and claim the Russian invasion only started in 2022, but when you consider there were over 3,000 civilian casualties in Donbas from those groups since 2014—not even counting the others—it tells you that things are being framed incorrectly, whether intentionally or not.

Hypothetically, that would be like saying a war in America started in '95 just because the US military moved toward Banjaluka. Imagine if Democrats across the globe started blasting "American aggressors" for attacking innocent Canada or Republika Srpska without ever acknowledging the context of the 90s.

The hypocrisy of the democratic world and the absolute mess that is the EU shows exactly what the EU is: nothing more than a puppet for Anglo-Saxon interests, both in Europe and across the ocean.
The EU should honestly just build a monument to Putin, because he’s the only one who can actually pull them out of the grip of the groups mentioned above. Otherwise, the EU will just keep playing errand boy for everyone else's interests.

To all the servants and cannon fodder out there: don't wait for someone to roll out the red carpet for you. Go defend Ukraine on the ground yourself...☕

Exactly, it kicked off with Russian aggression in Crimea, Donbas, and Lugansk.

Just cannon fodder and slaves, don't wait for permission—go defend Ukraine on the ground...☕

And if Kadyrov's guys can't fix it, you're gonna step up?

Furthermore, you failed to address the point: if Americans today bear responsibility for Soviet crimes against Poles, why don't Ukrainians also bear responsibility for committing the largest massacre against Poles in history? Believe it or not, that wasn't Katyn.

I don't owe you any answers just because you want them. Russians have experience executing prisoners of war, period.

Stop wasting your breath.

Justin Kern67 said:So, the Russians were responsible for Katyn?

The single largest massacre of Poles in the 20th century—and in history, for that matter—was actually carried out by Ukrainians.

Why aren't you mentioning that?

Vasily Mikhailovich Blokhin (Russian: Васи́лий Миха́йлович Блохи́н; 7 January 1895 – 3 February 1955) was a Soviet and Russian major general who served as the chief executioner of the NKVD under the administrations of Genrikh Yagoda, Nikolay Yezhov, and Lavrentiy Beria.

The idea that The Soviet union was tricked back in '89-'90 is pretty much the core of why Russia is clashing with the West today

https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...-matters-today

Basically, this is why Putin is so livid—back in '90, the U.S. Secretary of State allegedly promised Gorbachev that NATO wouldn't expand any further east than Germany. It felt like a total bait-and-switch

Some older analysis too, I guess:

There’s a lot of analysis floating around lately. Some people are saying Putin is basically dreaming of stitching together a hybrid of Imperial Russia and the USSR—and honestly, Finland is absolutely not having it, because everything he said about Ukraine applies directly to them too.

Unofficially, the Chinese are already writing about how Vladivostok should be handed back to its rightful owners.

Historically, Vladivostok once used to be part of China ’ sa Qing dynasty and was known as Haishenwai. IT was annexed by The Russian empire in 1860 after China ’ defeat by the British and The French in The Second Opium War. Ever since, Russia has run the show there, and it serves as the capital of Primorsky Krai.
Wait, so we're really doing this? This "fact-check" is absolute garbage. They’re trying to rewrite history right in front of our eyes! Total nonsense.

Russia is still sending it—actually, they never stopped. Even during the worst crises, they always stuck to their contracts.

But if Europe stops paying, then they aren't holding up their end of the deal, which means Russia can't keep shipping it, right?

Fuel $13?

We'll make it through.

I know exactly what's going through your head, kid. You're sitting there wondering, "Wait, did he pull the trigger six times or just five?" Honestly, I've lost track in all this chaos. But since we're talking about a .44 Magnum—literally the most devastating handgun on the planet that'll take your head right off—you really need to consider one thing: 'Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?'...

"I'm heading out. If I see anyone out there, they're getting shot. And if some jerk tries to take a shot at me, I'm not just taking him out; I'm coming for his wife, his buddies, and I'm burning his whole damn house to the ground."

I can't wrap my head around Amazon's logic. Why on earth are they still pricing the Intel Core i9-12900K above $2333 when everyone else is dropping down toward $2067?
It's useless. I can't sell mine, but they won't even drop their price for a sale. Honestly, I’d rather just walk into Best Buy than deal with them. And then they have the nerve to put a fake "sale" tag on it, crossing out 7500 for 7200 (okay, I'm exaggerating, I don't feel like looking up the exact numbers right now).
What's the point?

The point is that most people don't know how to Google lower prices, let alone actually ask someone, "Hey, I want this, where's the best deal?"

Given the fact that you constantly drop links to tabloid rag sites—and frankly, some pretty far-right extremist pages—I find myself questioning whether you even possess the capacity to recognize substantive or constructive writing when you see it.

On these sub-forums influenced by politics, worldviews, or topics like history and religion... a moderator should act solely as a moderator. They shouldn't be jumping into the fray to argue their own points, only to then target anyone with an opposing view by policing them through selective enforcement, warnings, or—worst of all—deleting posts. It is far too easy to play the provocateur under the guise of authority.

Right...
The real issue here is that they can no longer celebrate extremists or spread disinformation quite like they did in the "good old days." That seems to be the crux of it.
As for you, lonetrucker4, you've looked the other way for him more times than I can count; you aren't being fair at all.

I'm not so sure about that. Personally, I think on the History board, it would be better if lonetrucker4 took a page out of Frogger's book.
Take the Science board, for instance. You could claim the Earth is a flat disc—but only twice. The first time, you get a heavy-handed warning; the second time, you're looking at a suspension. Then you can head over to the Conspiracy forums where your crowd hangs out in droves. Everyone wins.👍

People just lurk on the Science board, but they sure love to bark when it comes to moderation.
lonetrucker4 said:Define "lately." 😛

Back on December 13, 2021, you caught a five-point strike for "don't escalate the argument."

The one before that, for insulting another user, was way back in August. That was for saying "your brain can't even wrap itself around this." Basically breaking the rule about attacking an idea instead of the actual person.

Out of the last ten warnings issued, eight or nine were yours. Some don't bother me, some seem pointless—whatever, I don't care.
Grace Wood5 said:We agree on some things regarding him, and we don't on others.
But this isn't about whether lonetrucker4 is a "good" or "bad" moderator. This is about the fact that concerned members finally feel heard. They've realized that they can't just spout toxic nonsense, jump down people's throats, label anyone who disagrees with them, or try to push the same tired arguments over and over again without getting shut down.
It wouldn't matter if any other moderator had stepped in and said "enough is enough."

First bold: What are you actually doing here? Honestly, what have you contributed to this thread besides "they signed the deal, I'm going to grab a drink while you guys suffer"? (Not literally, but close enough)

Second bold: Nonsense like "the CEO is installing a killswitch in the F-35 so we shouldn't buy them" hasn't bothered anyone until now.

Edit: Lately, I feel like I'm getting warnings almost exclusively from lonetrucker4. Some might be fair, others are just plain stupid. He does some things right, but he misses the mark on others.

3. I’m also fully cognizant that the criminal complaint will likely follow that exact pattern; regarding that Vinkovčanin fellow I mentioned earlier—he actually ended up in court under different circumstances and walked away completely acquitted.

Now, Bubimir and Brenda Murphy3 are both insisting that in the first and second scenarios, I somehow violated the laws of America 😁 Fortunately, neither of them works for the Department of Justice.

The devil is in the details. Big time.
And now, those guys are claiming I broke America laws in both scenarios. 😁 Luckily, they don't work for the Department of Justice.

If you'd actually pulled a gun from your holster and flashed it, then they'd have a point.
Example 1, absolutely nothing happens. Example 2, if you have a permit to own a gun but not to carry it and you get caught carrying, you’re getting reported—everything else is a wash. Example 3, excessive force or manslaughter.
frozendrifter7 said:rowdytiger13, please tell me you aren't an attorney.

Where, specifically, does the law state that I am prohibited from legally defending someone else's property—any way I see fit—within the USA? Let’s say, for the sake of argument, the property isn't even mine, but belongs to a close family member, and it's located in a different city than where I live.

So someone tries to torch a house and you put them down for it? IMO, if you get lucky, they'd charge you with manslaughter.
