Everything is running smoothly on my end. I’ve had Windows 7 RTM installed for quite a while now and I don't really have anything to complain about, except for maybe one thing... It’s nothing major, honestly, but they ditched the Classic Start Menu. I mean, it’s not like I actually use it, but I guess I just feel a little bad that they decided to get rid of it.

I actually got pulled over for driving without a license recently too. They were talking about a fine somewhere between $2,000 and $5.00... honestly, I managed to smooth things over through a connection.
Look, you can settle it if they haven't logged it into the system yet, but once it's entered, you're pretty much screwed.

Since the court has already handed down a ruling, it means the officer logged the incident into the computer about a month ago. That’s it. He’s officially been cited for a violation and he has to pay up, one way or another. There isn't a lawyer in the country who can wiggle him out of this one. Plus, the guy was actually arguing with the cops...

That figure of $667 usually applies if it's a first-time offense for driving without a permit.
Obviously, the more violations you rack up, the worse the penalties get.
Next time—assuming they don't catch him first—they might ban him from taking the driving test for two years, so we'll see how that goes.

Look, it’s true that things can get messy sometimes. You might run into issues, so I guess you really ought to make sure you're formatting your subtitles properly for every single movie using a dedicated program—something like Subtitle Edit, for example.
I mean, if everything is set up right with the subtitles—and assuming the filename matches the movie file exactly—the player should just pick them up automatically once you load the film. It’s pretty straightforward, I guess. Maybe it works differently on some setups, but that's how it usually goes.

Just one thing. Those total amateurs who bought some bottom-of-the-barrel "I just need basic internet" rig a few years back—you know, the ones with an 800MHz processor, maybe 32MB of video memory if they were lucky, and 128MB of RAM—they didn't even deserve Windows Vista. And then there are the other idiots who have brand-new, high-end setups but still insist on using old tech. Honestly, what’s worse is that they actually recommend retro stuff like XP to other people. I don't know, maybe their parents just failed them when they were kids, but here is what I have to say to them:
