I could really use some advice here—I'm planning to head out and pick one up this Monday, but I'm stuck between these two.
The Dell obviously has a more powerful processor, and honestly, it looks like a better value for the price compared to the $1833
Dell. Also, the Dell doesn't have an optical drive—has anyone ever actually missed having one? It feels like a thing of the past, but I don't know.
On the other hand, if I go through Best Buy, I can get the HP with a
5-year warranty instead of just the
2-year warranty you'd get with the Dell.
Which one do you think is the smarter buy?
The specific usage doesn't really matter; I just want to know which deal is better. Is that jump in performance worth trading away three extra years of peace of mind with the warranty?

People rave about Optimum Nutrition for a reason—they really hit the mark.
By the way, you can find their stuff right here:
Protein Store
I'm sticking with Optimum Nutrition, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I've tried Weider and MuscleTech before, but they tend to be way more expensive.
The quality is probably pretty similar to Optimum Nutrition, but you're definitely paying a premium for it.
I'm actually looking specifically for that Optimum Nutrition Elite Whey—any idea where I can pick some up in Washington, D.C.? I'd rather not deal with shipping delays if I can help it; I was hoping to just swing by somewhere tomorrow. Does anyone know if there's a shop near downtown that stocks it?
Feel free to shoot me a DM if you aren't supposed to post links here...
thanks!

Here’s what I’ve got on hand right now. 🙏
If you’ve got the budget for it, go with one of these two—the ones I marked with arrows. Honestly, I don't suggest them because they're my personal favorites, but rather because they come highly recommended by the pros. 😉 You could also look into some NBA-level stuff. For the cheaper options, I'm not entirely sure—I'll probably dig into those once I'm not so strapped for cash. 🤷
And if I were you, I'd steer clear of that Intel option in the middle when you're shopping around.
Thanks a lot, guys, both of you.
I think I'm going to go with the Dymatize—I already know where to pick it up and the price looks pretty decent.
I’m planning on picking up a tub of whey isolate, but I could really use some advice—there are honestly so many brands out there, and it feels like every single one claims to be the gold standard.
In your experience, which whey isolate actually gives you the most bang for your buck? Don't just tell me what you personally use—I'd love to hear about the ones you've heard great things about from others.
thanks
p.s. I'll probably dig through this thread a bit more myself, but I'd really appreciate some specific recommendations from you guys.

Honestly, you’re better off just focusing on getting better sleep—either improve the quality or just get more hours in—and tightening up your diet. Even something as simple as carving out ten lousy minutes for some solid stretching after a workout can make a huge difference. Plus, if you've just recently jumped back into an active lifestyle after being sedentary for a while, you should probably dial back those intense training spikes a bit...👍
That'll definitely solve the problem, and I'll tell you exactly how...
It really worked for me—I just take one every couple of days and they don't bother me anymore.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekbW5rkMrpQMan, this clip always gives me that extra push when I need it most 😍
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEL8PYu4RR4Check out this speech—it’s honestly top-tier, especially if you’ve actually sat down and watched the movie 😁
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUBX_...eature=relatedFound this one for a laugh xD
Well, honestly, I don't exactly have money to burn xD
I mean, you'd be looking at dropping $200-$$100
every single week— I'd much rather save a bit so there’s actually some cash left over for going out 😁
Take your body weight in kilograms and multiply it by 2 or maybe 3 to get your protein target in grams
So, if you're sitting at around 200 lbs—which is about 90kg—you're looking at roughly 180 to 270g of protein daily
That’s the rule of thumb if you're actually hitting the gym with some serious intensity xD
If your budget is a bit tight—though I'm guessing it might be—just try to set aside as much as you possibly can for it
That’s actually why I like this one—it’s thirty 30g servings, so the value is unbeatable, just like $77 😁
says. Honestly, I think 30g a day is plenty for me since I’m not living at the gym or anything; it's more of a side thing for me...
Plus, I’m pretty light—only about 135 lbs xD
So for my body weight, it’s definitely not going to be too much, haha
No worries, it's all good...
Can anyone point me toward where I can pick up
this 30x30g pack?
I'm still a minor, so using a credit card is out of the question
and online shopping is a dead end too.
Where should I head to grab this with cash?
Somewhere in Chicago, maybe near downtown?
So, I'm looking for some protein in the $300-$$133
range. Since my workouts are pretty light, I don't need a massive dose after every session—plus, I really don't want to be shelling out cash for new tubs every two months.
Ideally, I'd find something that lasts me about a month and a half, maybe even two.
Basically, I'm prioritizing quantity here. I did a little digging and these two seem like a decent deal (or maybe it's just me?):

I noticed the first one isn't "100%"—does it actually need to be? Like, what’s the real-world difference in results? The price per ounce looks great for that amount, but I'm a bit lost on the specifics.
Any advice? Which one should I grab, or is there a third option out there?
Try to look at this from my perspective—I need something that stretches my budget as far as possible without being total junk.🤣
Can I go even cheaper than this?
Grab a barbell and give this a shot

Or, if you can't find one—maybe just grab a sturdy fence or something—try this instead
http://www.coopersguns.com/videos/ex...dips-on-frame/
I don't know much about that sport—and honestly, it’s not really my thing—but it isn't just some stunt where you jump from rooftop to rooftop or hop over fences...
At its core, it's just the simplest, most efficient way to get from point A to point B.
That’s how I’d sum it up anyway.

There’s honestly nothing better than hitting the gym on one of those days when I really just didn't feel like going—finishing a workout like that gives me such a massive sense of accomplishment. It’s that specific feeling of being glad I actually showed up, even when my brain was trying to talk me out of it. (Though lately, I’ve been looking forward to training even more because my schedule is so packed—it’s become my go-to way to just decompress and unwind
It’s not exactly too late, but I’m honestly struggling to see where you’d actually go for training.
You can't really jump in with the eight-year-olds—that would be awkward—and I highly doubt any local club would slot you in with the older guys who have been playing since they could walk and already have those powerhouse legs...
My advice? Pick a sport that people typically pick up a bit later in life.
Take rowing, for example—most people don't even touch an oar until they're twelve.
Find something where you aren't trying to play catch-up after a fifteen-year head start, but maybe just five.
