How to deal with facial hyperpigmentation? in Health ·
Hey everyone!

I’ve been dealing with these nasty pigmentation patches under my eyes—large, dark, and just impossible to get rid of. I tried every whitening cream on the market, but nothing worked; even during the winter, the spots wouldn't budge. So, last week, I finally went in for a laser treatment.
Fair warning: the procedure itself is brutal. My plastic surgeon mentioned that the deeper the pigmentation, the more it hurts. It only takes about 10-15 minutes, but afterward, you look absolutely terrifying. We’re talking scabs, redness, and that sensation like someone is literally holding a hot iron against your face. About two hours after the session, the burning stops and the redness dies down significantly. However, over the next few days, the treated areas turn very dark—honestly, you look like you walked out of a fight. After 3 or 4 days, the skin starts peeling, and by the end of a week, it’s like they were never there. It cost me $267.
To help with the scabbing, I used some soothing oil—sort of an old-school remedy. I don't think it's mass-produced, but it works wonders for burns, which makes sense because this laser treatment is essentially frying those spots away.
Of course, the pigment can come back, so now I’m strictly using SPF 50+ cream. Throw on a hat when the sun is intense, and you should be good to go.
It’s definitely not an easy process, but it actually works.

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well!
Just wanted to jump in and join this community of fellow Americans dealing with psoriasis.
I’ve been battling this for about a year and a half now. It mostly hits my torso, with a bit less on my legs and just a tiny amount on my elbows.
I’ve gone through quite a few posts in this thread, and I’m really eager to hear if anyone has any updates on the treatment results mentioned by our friend Michael Ramos3...
Also, I was wondering if anyone has tried those specialized treatments out in Key West or maybe some spa retreats near Orlando? Has anyone actually done it? Did you see real results? Is it even worth dropping that kind of cash? haha...
Thanks so much in advance,
With respect,

Sepsis and stroke: what to know? in Health ·
It's official: sepsis has been confirmed, and they're unconscious, but there's no brain bleeding...
thanks
Hey everyone, my aunt was just diagnosed with brain metastases. They’re certain about one lesion in the temporoparietal lobe that's causing pressure, but the MRI also showed two other tiny spots that they aren't quite sure about yet. The primary tumor hasn't been located, though thankfully all her other organs are perfectly healthy. I've been a complete wreck for days now—I'm just lost. I don't know how this progresses, how to stop it from spreading, or what her actual chances are. If anyone has gone through something similar or knows anything at all, please, I could really use some answers. 😢

Dealing with hemorrhoids in Health ·
I’m a new member here. I’m getting on in years, and just like many of you, I’m dealing with some pretty brutal issues. This all started back in 1996 as a result of being deployed in a combat zone for an extended period due to my job. Since then, I’ve cycled through endless creams like HEMOPROPIN and Factu, various suppositories, and all sorts of pills including Tylenol, Hemeroidin, and more. I’ve even dabbled in alternative medicine and home remedies suggested by various gurus. I have undergone every possible exam imaginable (some of which were incredibly invasive and uncomfortable), seen countless doctors and private clinics (like Dr. Fila and others), and even had surgery to fix everything. Yet, despite that procedure being less than two years ago, I’ve already dealt with the same issues twice. As for my diet, I did a complete overhaul, even though I wasn't really eating much fatty, salty, spicy, or heavy food to begin with. I avoided dried foods as much as possible, especially once things took a turn for the worse. My bowel movements are regular, but only if I have a cup of decaf in the morning and smoke a cigarette—which isn't exactly healthy, considering I hadn't touched a cigarette for about 14 years before the surgery (but man, people will do anything just to find relief). I don't struggle with excess weight; standing at 6'1", I've stayed at about 178 lbs for a long time, even though I used to be 209 lbs of pure muscle before this sickness, thanks to staying active and training for work. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that because of the dietary changes and the drop in physical activity (missing the gym, my daily 10-12 miles mile runs, and martial arts), I’ve lost weight unintentionally, which is something I’m not proud of.
Honestly, what can I even say about all this?!
The problems are back! I don't mean to discourage anyone out there fighting this battle; if anything, I want to cheer you guys on to keep pushing and never give up. Instead, I’m hoping someone might offer some advice I could try, so that one day I can finally get back to a normal life and the physical activities I miss so much!!!
Regarding Dr. Rosa and his patent, the product is called HEM-PRO, it says $1100, and you order it directly from him over the phone. The treatment lasts anywhere from 10 to 70 days, where you apply the product rectally and hold it in for at least two hours. It works on the principle of magnetic therapy (which confuses me a bit, because I’ve been wearing a magnetic bracelet on my wrist for ten years now and I still have these hemorrhoid issues—I mostly just use the bracelet to help with my old sleep problems). Apparently, once you buy it, you own the product, which is how the Doctor shifts the responsibility away if the treatment doesn't work. HE GUARANTEES SUCCESS FOR MEN!!!!!!
I haven't found any confirmation online for his claim that Russians have been using this method to solve hemorrhoid problems for decades (since 1930, if I recall correctly)! For that reason, I am asking if anyone has actually tried the product or is planning to try it soon—please reach out so I can hear about your results!!!!!!! Thank you in advance. E

Sepsis and stroke: what to know? in Health ·
I’m reaching out because my grandfather was rushed to the hospital last night. It all started with intense stomach pains, diarrhea, and a fever, and he does have a history of a heart attack...
He’s currently in a coma. The doctors are saying he's dealing with pneumonia, a stroke, and sepsis. He's 76 years old and on life support right now.
If anyone here has experience with this or could tell me what the outlook looks like for someone his age...
That’s really all I know, unfortunately. The medical staff hasn't been giving us much information...
Thank you so much in advance.🙏

I’ve got a red card!!!!👋
Seriously, does every single thread on this forum have to start with "who's smarter between them..."?

This is actually a solid topic, and honestly, I think everyone should be debating the subject itself instead of just attacking the comments!

Selling smoke and mirrors to Hollywood seems to be working wonders, but I really wonder how much longer people are going to fall for the same old tropes—you know, the endless car chases and shootouts in the middle of a massive US metropolis.
What the fuck is wrong with you?
Do you seriously need someone to slap the living hell out of you every single day just to realize you're being hit?

Sometimes I feel like there’s nothing lower than some people.
A person can be the ultimate pushover because you can basically ...... and they'll just keep asking for more!

How much more are we going to keep asking for?

Why am I not losing weight? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Morgan Williams4 said:Look, you guys might want to tear me apart for this, but I don't really consider myself overweight. I'm about 180 lbs at 5'11". I used to be closer to 165. Somehow, those extra 15 pounds ended up settling right on my midsection and lower back. Just to clarify, the speed I mentioned is my average pace; when I'm out on flat, open roads, I can hit 20 mph before my heart rate even climbs to 170 bpm. But based on some of the threads I've been reading, apparently, I'm not burning fat because I'm riding too fast and just burning through carbs instead of tapping into fat stores.

That "extra weight" on your stomach and back isn't going anywhere unless you pick up some weight training or start bodybuilding...
Basically, cardio alone won't cut it... especially for guys...
As for what you eat, try adding protein to every single meal (think Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, egg whites, chicken breast, or fish!!!). Also, swap out the bread and potatoes for more fruits and veggies.

Jeremy Fowler5 said:I'm actually interested in growing walnuts specifically for the timber. What do you think—are your 9-year-old trees mature enough to harvest, or should you hold off a bit longer?

If you're aiming for high-quality lumber, you're realistically looking at a 25 to 30-year wait. The trick is that the nuts start paying the bills long before the wood is ready; think of the trunk as your retirement fund or some kind of long-term insurance policy. Most people plant these for their kids or even grandkids. There's actually a great book on walnuts you can pick up on Amazon for about $29. It covers everything regarding walnuts and hazelnuts.
