Toxic hair dyes? in Health ·
Look, I’m a hairstylist, so let me give you the real talk on this. There are plenty of toxins and nasty stuff out there in the world, but if hair dye were actually as kancerogen !!! as people claim, 90% of women would have been gone by now...
General Chat & Info Board in Martial Arts & Combat Sports ·
Does anyone know anything about the martial arts or boxing club over at the Military Academy on Ilica, near the West Side? From what I’ve heard, it’s actually pretty decent, and the facilities seem solid enough.
To be honest, I’m not interested in the usual spots like the local powerhouse gyms or those neighborhood clubs—I’ve already tried them out and they just didn't cut it for me...
My experience with Ferrum in Health ·
How long did it take for your hemoglobin and hematocrit levels to actually start climbing, and by how much? I had my blood drawn after taking the tablets twice a day for three weeks now, but the jump was almost nonexistent—my HGB went from 104 to 107. Honestly, I’m starting to panic a little here.

How long did it take for your hemoglobin and hematocrit levels to actually budge, and by how much? I just had my blood drawn after three weeks of taking these tablets twice a day (morning and night), and the shift is practically nonexistent. My HGB was at 104, and now it’s sitting at 107. I'm honestly starting to panic a little here.

A new wave in Music ·
Nancy Taylor552 said:I’m honestly obsessed with that whole new wave era... it was just different. The entire scene had its own unique vibe and energy... man, I would give anything to go back to those days. Back then, the US music scene was pure electricity... straight-up rock 'n' roll bliss. People used to hang out on legendary streets like Broadway or Haight-Ashbury... there was music playing everywhere you turned. You'd catch bands like Bruce Springsteen or The Ramones playing in tiny, iconic clubs... and in cities like Seattle, the first big indie festivals were just kicking off. The music scene was absolutely massive. It was total chaos in the best way possible... yeah, those were the days. It was a perfect time, and people actually stood for something back then.🙂 🙂 madness... yeah... that was truly something... a time that felt perfect... and back then, certain values actually meant something.😉

Man, I live for posts like this... so much passion!🙄

Sometimes I just have to treat myself to a massive plate of BBQ sliders. 🙂

little bug said:Don't go overboard with the diet. Just add a few more salads to the mix, swap out the meat for fish, eggs, or cheese every once in a while, and you’ve got a seriously healthy way of eating! 👍

I’m a huge fan of fish—honestly, I try to get it on my plate several times a week. I also live on egg whites, so those are a daily staple for me. When it comes to cheese, I usually go for something fresh paired with a bit of cream. As for salads? Not really my thing. If I have to eat veggies, it’ll just be some cucumbers, tomatoes, or bell peppers.

tija* said:Hey RS... I’m dealing with a similar struggle, though my weight gain isn't from medication—it's actually from being pregnant. I’ve really been throwing myself into intense workouts and tightening up my diet lately. I’ve even started experimenting with some protein shakes, which honestly seem like a game changer so far.

I take my diet seriously, too. I make it a point to eat super clean, making sure I hit the farmer's market for fresh veggies almost every day—usually just steamed up with a bit of olive oil. I also aim for fish at least three times a week, and I'll treat myself to some pasta maybe once every couple of weeks or so. I won't bore you with the whole list, but that's the gist of it.

Look, I’ve spent a ton of time picking the brains of nutritionists and testing out clean eating protocols on my own body to see what actually works. After all that trial and error, I honestly think your daily meal plan could use just a few small tweaks to really level up.

First things first: skip the whole-wheat pastries. I actually realized you’re saving your bread intake for the evening anyway, so let's just swap that out for some whole-grain toast in the morning instead. Grab a slice topped with some cheese, and if you can, definitely pair it with some veggies—I’m obsessed with adding carrots or alfalfa sprouts to my breakfast; it makes such a difference. Toss in a yogurt and an apple, and honestly, you'll be eating like royalty. You'll be totally fueled up for the day!

Three helpings of goulash? Honestly, I don't think you need to go that hard. If I were you, I’d just grab one serving of the goulash, a side salad, and then pick either a piece of grilled meat or some mushrooms. Trust me, you'll feel much better after.

If you want to hit the nutritional jackpot, you’ve got to make cooked veggies a daily staple. Pair them with something grilled and toss in a fresh salad—that’s the ultimate winning combo. If you can manage to prep some cooked vegetables three or four times a week, your body will seriously thank you for it. Just a heads-up though: don't go overboard with the potatoes or beans; they can be total troublemakers if you overdo it.

Swap out that ice cream for some fruit yogurt or a fresh fruit salad instead!

Man, I really hope I didn't go overboard there—I was just trying to be helpful. 🙂 If you are, just say the word...

Best of luck out there!

You didn't go overboard at all—thank you so much for such solid advice! 😘

thanks 😉

I was originally planning to vote for Brešan, but then I remembered how much I loved the movie Forgive for Kung Fu by Sviličić.👍 Honestly, I was laughing my head off while watching it—it was so brilliantly done. Does anyone know what other films he’s made?

Droge223 said:I need help ASAP! Is there any dentist out there who will just fix or cap a tooth without making a huge deal out of it or asking a million questions? Does that even exist?? I’m honestly feeling pretty desperate! 😢

😍 Don't be so cynical! I know a fantastic dentist over in the suburbs near downtown Chicago—his name is Janko Naka. He did work for my husband that was better than anything any other dentist could have pulled off. He fixed all his teeth perfectly, and we haven't had a single complaint since. He even saved a canine tooth that was completely blackened, and he managed to fix everything while pulling the absolute bare minimum of teeth. Most of those generic clinics just want to get rid of you as fast as possible and pull as many teeth as they can to bill more; if you end up at one of those places, honestly, just run! Janko runs a private practice that’s super modern, too. They’ve got all the latest high-tech gear—digital X-rays and everything right on-site. Plus, his prices aren't even that steep, especially for things like deep cleanings or basic repairs. $60I really hope I was able to help you out a little bit—he’ll definitely be able to save that tooth! Plus, since his parents are dental technicians, that crown won't look out of place at all. It'll be seamless! Best of luck!😍

Struggling with learning? in Psychology ·
I’m a high school senior, and honestly, I’ve hit a massive wall with studying lately. I just can't find the motivation; I keep telling myself, "Eh, there's still plenty of time," over and over again.

In previous years, I basically functioned on pure fear. I’d tell myself, "If you fail this class, you're repeating the whole grade," and that kept me on track. But now? I'm completely stuck.

I think I'm going to try a new approach—focusing on hitting specific goals and finishing certain amounts of material rather than just staring at my books for a set number of hours.

Do you just go with a regular one or stick to actual athletic gear?

Any recommendations for a solid fitness bra? Thnx.

Fox has a new line of sports bras out. They're pretty decent (they actually keep everything in place).
