I am honestly so embarrassed to even bring this up, but I really need some help from you guys. I’m 26, and I have never actually been to a gynecologist before. I don't know how to get past this massive wave of shame. I realize they see stuff like this every single day, but I’m genuinely desperate. I have no idea which doctor to trust or where to go—all I know is that I am definitely not going to Dr. Harney, and I’m terrified of being judged or scolded for waiting this long. Please, help me out.
iwchy said:haha, they just don't measure over 172 on their Mensa test😬
Don't talk nonsense. There is no such thing as a "Mensa test." Mensa doesn't have its own proprietary exam, nor could they really have one. Instead, Mensa uses the most standard, common, and widely recognized big intelligence test out there—Raven's Progressive Matrices.
I’m reaching out to see if anyone has any leads on where we can get Gamma Knife surgery performed. We are looking for a clinic or hospital that offers this procedure—if you know of any locations, please let us know. We are dealing with a very clearly differentiated astroglioma, most likely a diffuse fibrillary astrocytoma, in a fifteen-year-old boy. Because we are working against such a tight deadline to get this surgery scheduled, I am urgently asking for any information or recommendations regarding Gamma Knife availability.
James Morris7 said:You probably should've just asked where to pick up some cowboy hats and chaps instead. 😁
Look, can someone please just point me toward a hot cowboy who knows where to buy some decent hats? The only snakeskin cowboy boots I've seen without any chaps were priced at $667... 😬
I even started a whole new thread in the fashion section:
One of my bottom right fillings cracked on me this week. If I remember my dentist correctly, she said it's an old silver amalgam filling. There’s a sharp edge near my tongue that’s really bothering me, and I was wondering if it’s possible to just smooth out that jagged part and leave the filling alone? It doesn't actually cause me any pain (I don't have headaches or any other issues that people claim mercury can trigger) ... (assuming there's even any mercury left in that mixture to begin with). I'm 21, and this filling was put in about 8 to 12 years ago.
Looking at the photo, can you tell if the nerve is still alive or if it's dead? Basically, I want to know if I'll need to get the whole thing replaced, or if it's feasible to just file down the rough spot.
Carol Lee32 said: HERE IS THE REAL ISSUE: During the summer, repair shops are way too slammed to spend time on deep diagnostics or hunting down tricky glitches. They’re basically just stuck doing endless tire patches all day, and there isn't much you can do about it. If you need any major work done, wait for the colder months (December through February). You won't have crowds of families hanging out at Central Park, and you'll actually be able to have a real conversation with the mechanics at a professional shop. Unless it's an emergency, just skip the summer rush.
Does anyone know a good private gynecologist or a solid OB-GYN clinic around the downtown area—maybe near the Capitol, the Museum District, or over by Midtown? Looking for recommendations! Thanks!
So, you're saying it's not worth heading out to see? I mean, I get why it turned out this way, but hey, they're still making a third one, so maybe we should just go see it so more people actually show up for the third part anyway.
I'm looking to pick up a kickboxing bag soon. Does anyone know where I can find some decent ones that won't break the bank? Also, what are they usually filled with?
What kind of cars are we talking about here—is it mostly Japanese imports? Also, when does this even hit theaters? I’m planning on catching it, but I honestly have no clue who’s in the cast or anything else. I’ve seen the first three movies, though... the first one was absolute perfection, but everything after that just went downhill, especially that third installment. I’m with Kevin Anderson69 on this one, though; *Gone in 60 Seconds* is definitely the best car movie out there.
shadowgardener12 said:Nish, just make sure you keep everything properly lubed. I've got some specialized rust-preventative sprays that I use every now and then. I was riding mine this winter through the slush, and since I hadn't lubed the chain in ages, it started sounding like I was dragging a heavy iron plow down the street. I honestly thought I’d have to buy a whole new chain, but the spray saved my life.
Those rust-prevention sprays should only be used on parts you've actually taken OFF the bike! If you spray them while they're still attached, you'll wreck your bike in no time!!!
Also, you really need to swap out your chain every 2,000–3,000 miles, otherwise you're going to end up destroying your cassette...
Wait, a panic attack?! While I'm asleep? I mean, you’d usually expect one while you're wide awake, not mid-dream, but hey, anything can happen, right... It’s such an unsettling feeling—you just wake up feeling completely helpless!
Hey everyone. I just joined the forum and have been catching up on all your posts. I’m curious about something someone mentioned earlier—that OCD might actually stem from repressed sexual desire. Could whoever wrote that share a bit more detail? Also, I was wondering how many of you living with OCD deal with issues regarding sex or intimacy (things like trouble getting aroused, difficulty reaching orgasm, or feeling overwhelmed by shame and discomfort)? One more thing: I saw a comment from someone who mentioned they were seeing a therapist using Jungian methods; if you don't mind, could you explain what that process is actually like? Thanks!
