It’s happening because of the people these words weren't even meant for—so fine, I’ll keep going.

As for the Fisherman!
Who actually fears a Fisherman?
😕
Who?
The very person who is out there fishing themselves, just maybe casting a different kind of line.
They use tactics so underhanded they make them sick to their own stomach, but they feel forced to play dirty just to land a catch.
It’s obvious that someone like that—this certain type of free-style fisherman—might just be looking for "fresh meat," acting as a remedy for those getting older, seeing danger in everyone around them.
She knows exactly what she’s capable of doing to others, so it makes sense that she’s terrified that others might be willing to go just as far.

I honestly feel bad that you guys are being so hard on yourselves and that you clearly don't know yourselves very well.
It can't be easy, and anyone who would actually want to swap places with you would have to be completely out of their mind.

Who are you even talking to? 😕
Migraine relief help? in Health ·
The last time I started a thread like this, I didn't get a single response!
But here I am again, stuck in the middle of another multi-day migraine. I really want to hear from everyone else dealing with this—how do you manage the pain, what actually helps ease the symptoms, does anyone else deal with this because of genetics, and honestly, just how can I make this stop ASAP?

1. You need a license to go fishing.

The moment you popped out of the womb, you were granted one.

2. You’ve got to have the right gear—tackle and bait.

But the truth is, the hunter is the tackle, the bait, and the prey all rolled into one. It’s like a dog chasing its own tail.

3. You have to find where the fish are; you don't usually cast your line into
sewage or polluted runoff; you look for the clearest water.

According to the above, since the hunter and the prey are one and the same, the environment doesn't actually matter.

4. First, you toss a bunch of bread into the ocean to draw them in.

The law of cause exists only as long as the Fisherman believes he isn't the prey.

5. You also have to watch the timing; the best catches happen during Twilight.

time is an illusion...

6. Just because your bobber goes under doesn't mean there's a fish on the hook.

If the bobber sinks, it just means your weight is too heavy for the float. When a fish actually hits the line, it TUGS.

7. You catch small fish differently than you catch big ones.

True, but they all bite the same bait.

8. Every species has its feeding season when the catch is most plentiful.

The best time to strike is when the fish are preoccupied with the drive to reproduce, or when they're simply so hungry they "have" to feed.

9. Any fish caught that are under a certain size get tossed back into the sea.

Sure, but by then they're already dead, so neither the fisherman nor the ocean gets anything out of them.

10. Don't expect to fill your freezer with this kind of fishing.

Never expect anything from anyone, or from anything, for that matter.

Look, the "ego" self is basically a Fisherman who can't survive without his prey ("you" and "it"). At its core, the essence is identical—everything else is just semantics...
It stands to reason that such a person—this free-spirited fisherman—might target "younger meat," especially since people in their later years often see danger in everyone around them.

You're spot on; only a Fisherman recognizes another Fisherman out there in the vastness of the ocean.
She knows exactly what she’s capable of doing to others, so it makes sense that she’s worried about whether everyone else is willing to go that far too.

You're getting way too caught up in concepts like "power" and "obligation"...
"Obligation" is for commercial fishermen on the coast!
It honestly breaks my heart that you all are being so hard on yourselves and clearly don't know each other very well.

It’s actually refreshing to see some genuine empathy here that isn't driven by the hunt!

Come on, copperowl2, try to keep it brief for once. I mean, I occasionally enjoy reading your stuff, but sometimes you just drown me in words...
Is all that rambling really necessary?
🙂
und, if you actually sprinkled a little humor into those posts, they might actually be provocative!
👍
But as it stands...

Hey,

I’m just one of those people trying to navigate the truth through this massive ocean of misinformation. At the same time, I realize that you can't even start that journey without first stripping away your own personal biases and assumptions. The more you let go of illusions—both about yourself and the world we live in—the better equipped you are to actually recognize what's real.

Whenever I uncover something or dig up some info, I usually just dump it onto my website (take it or leave it style) so it's available for anyone else out there hunting for the truth. Of course, the responsibility lies with you to decide if a piece of information is worth your time, and whether you should dive deeper and investigate it for yourself.

Just swallowing everything whole without doing your own homework would be nothing more than blind faith, much like following a religion.

Cheers!

Back when you were playing for the Franken Timberwolves,
did you happen to run into a friend of mine who used to play there?
He's from Italy, name's Carlo Mariani.
Not sure if you guys crossed paths, but he was playing over in Germany about two or three years ago.

Hey,

I played during the '04 season for the Youth football team. So, it hasn't been long enough for me to know everyone. If he was playing on the varsity squad, I probably wouldn't have known him—we didn't really hang out much back then.

Best,

Does anyone know anything about Dr. Wahid over at the Downtown Medical Center?
Any kind of feedback would be super helpful right now.
A friend of mine has an appointment scheduled with him in a few days.

Hey everyone!

So, here's my story. I'm 18 years old and currently living in Nuremberg. I've been playing gridiron football for about a year now. I started out with a local youth football team, but now I've moved up to play for the Nuremberg Buffalos in the Major League here in Bavaria.

Honestly, this sport is incredible. It takes an insane amount of training, serious discipline... and then some.

If there's ever a meetup happening in the States, I'd love to make the trip—though I'd probably just swing by during Easter or over the summer. I’d really love to help grow the game back home in America, too.

Cheers,

Zoran

It’s finally clicking why a fly trapped in a web suffers so much. It isn't just about the inevitable end or the terror of being eaten; it’s that moment when the fly looks around, sees no predator, and mistakenly concludes that *it* is the one who should be spinning the silk. It starts struggling desperately to weave its own destiny, but a fly is just a fly—it simply can't make it happen.
🙂 👎 😲

Just because there's a web doesn't mean there's actually a spider behind it.
Nietzsche would probably say:
The spider is dead!!!

No, no, no...

Last night, I had this dream where I was deep in discussion with someone about how—and more importantly, when—to finally wake up. Honestly, since I woke up this morning, I’m not even sure if we ever actually did...

I can't wait to get back to sleep!

Private clinics for gastroscopy? in Health ·
I had that procedure done at the hospital and it was a total nightmare—they were shoving half-meter tubes down my throat while nurses were just rushing around like crazy 😲 🙄 🙂
Seriously, don't ever let anyone talk you into getting a gastroscopy if you actually value your sanity
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good private clinic? I’m honestly done dealing with the chaos of public hospitals
