Come on guys, let’s lower the temperature here! We need to move past what went down in Minneapolis as soon as possible. Honestly, I think the organizers are the ones truly at fault for how that championship game unfolded. It’s a total disgrace if the US national team and our local clubs end up paying the price just to favor someone else (specifically Canada). In my opinion, VSSCG did the right thing, and hopefully, their formal appeal will finally open the eyes of the officials over at LEN!!!!!! Personally, if any other team had been playing against the US in that final, I would’ve been rooting for them—just like I always do whenever a neighbor from the old Ex-Yugoslavia region is competing!!!!!!!!!👍 👍 🙂 🙂
Why was my previous post deleted? Everything I wrote was nothing but facts. If you don't like what I have to say, that's no reason to start scrubbing posts.
casualpuma71 said:Look, I know how to read between the lines, and I know exactly who you're talking about. I don't get why those hypocrites are acting like saints and angels after the whole incident—an incident they basically baited the Mexican side into starting!
VSSICG has as much to do with these incidents as any American club that LEN is trying to slap with penalties. God, the hypocrisy is unreal!!
Oh, please. The "only provocation" was the fact that the SiCG !!!! national team won, which apparently gave people permission to start throwing rocks at coaches, refs, and anyone in sight just to beat up their own commentator. Come on, man, you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.. Honestly, I don't even know why I'm arguing about this.
casualpuma71 said:Maybe it’s those guys who pelted the American Embassy with stones? Or maybe the ones who threw tear gas onto the field during an OFK Belgrade match? Or perhaps the crowd that caused all that chaos in Ljubljana during the Goodyear League?
Did I miss any other "fine gentlemen"?
Not really, but I did forget to mention that you're a total moron who either doesn't know how to use the quote tool or just refuses to use your brain long enough to realize I was talking about the people in VSSICG.
Besides, you might want to check out that video of one of your "gentlemen" flying right over the fence.
On Monday, USA Water Polo reached out to the leadership at the European Water Polo Organization (LEN), urging them not to hand down any penalties against the American national team or the USA Water Polo federation following the chaos caused by American fans during the European Championship in Minneapolis.
Look, honestly? I’m visiting from Canada, and this is my first time checking out this forum. I just wanted to drop in and say one thing: please, let's not have any more fights when the Dinamo Chicago game comes around. Just cheer your hearts out, keep it classy, and show everyone that you guys can be decent people. That's all I'm saying.
To be honest, I don't really remember movie soundtracks, just everything else Morricone -- definitely the best choice anyway🙂 Pulp Fiction - and the rest of Tarantino's stuff. Like "Natural Born Killers" - that heavy track playing while the characters are fleeing prison in total mass hysteria. Man... :2up: The Matrix - also that part at the end with Ratm and Wake Up
All this nonsense is just what happens when people have way too much time on their hands.
I’ll admit, I’m just as foolish since I’m sitting here reading all of this too. Honestly, I thought you guys would have reached some kind of conclusion after eleven pages of arguing.
ironfalcon18 said:It’s obvious they started playing commercial stuff just to chase sales. Take Sons of Northern Darkness, for example—it’s total garbage. It’s that typical sound that appeals to every 14-to-17-year-old kid getting into Heavy Metal and buying their first album. I don't get why Dark Throne didn't sell out and start playing that pseudo-black style instead. 😁 Emperor is basically just a tool for the cops. 🙂
Man, you are talking nonsense. Sons of Northern Darkness is a genius album; you're just being way too stuck-up and won't let yourself enjoy it because then you wouldn't be that "hardcore" poser. The same goes for Damned in Black and At the Heart of Winter. I'm not even going to bring up Emperor because it's clearly impossible to have a real conversation with you.
lol It honestly feels like the author has zero clue when it comes to actual hip-hop You seriously don't know the first thing about rap Real rap is: 2pac, Public Enemy, Ghostface Killah, Obie Trice, Method Man, Gra, RZA, DMX...!! Man, get real!!
feraltrucker5 said:It honestly kills me seeing a "true" heavy metalhead like you who hasn't even heard of Celtic Frost, Hellhammer, or Bathory...
The only way you can link Mercyful Fate or King Diamond to heavy metal is through their satanic lyrics; musically, they just don't fit the vibe.
Venom and Celtic Frost are basically proto-black—more like dark-sounding thrash if you ask me.
The heavy metal sound we know today is mostly built on the foundation laid by Hellhammer (Apocalyptic Raids EP, 1984) and Bathory (Under the Sign of Black Mark, 1987). Euronymous just took that specific style and cranked it up to be even more extreme. Then you had Immortal and Dark Throne join the movement, while Varg Vikernes was really just some guy along for the ride.🙂
urbanhawk15 said:Sorry, mellowrider50, for calling you out specifically, but this applies to anyone using the term incorrectly. If you didn't know, the word cult actually means something hidden.
None of those albums were "hidden" from the public—otherwise, how would you even know they existed? They actually had full-on marketing campaigns behind them.
When I call an album "cult," I don't mean it's tucked away on some dusty corner of a record store shelf. I mean the album is incredible and has gathered a dedicated following of people who absolutely worship it. In my book, "cult" basically translates to legendary.
For instance: Dissection - Storm of the Light's Bane Slayer - Reign in Blood

Look, sorry, but if you actually consider Venom to be "real" black metal, then yeah, Varg was basically still in diapers when they started playing. Just so we're clear, though—the entire American movement is still referred to as the "second wave of black metal."
