I didn't realize this was a Friedkin's film; based on the title alone, I thought it was going to be some total rabbit hole of garbage... 🙄
Turns out it’s actually the fourth one in a row from Tommy's exploring this exact same theme... 🙄 alright fine, I guess it's a notch better than Daredevil 😁
Yeah... I've got maybe 20 or so Tomahawk MP3s floating around, plus a couple of Peeping Tom tracks or something...
p.s. I also have this old recording from a Fantomas show in Vienna—about two hours of it—featuring all those hilarious facial expressions from Mike Patton. It’s gold...
I don't know if it's just my mood or what... but after this race in Australia, I can't stop laughing at how much the Williams and McLaren fans are losing it right now...
Keep it coming... keep giving me and my fellow Ferrari fans more reasons to laugh.
Well, at least we're providing some entertainment since our drivers aren't exactly delivering any points for you guys!🙂
Gerald Turner48 said:And if by some miracle David doesn't clinch the title this year... why does he insist on saying "there's always next year" EVERY single season? ...it’s never worked out for him before, so why would it now? The only real shot at a championship within McLaren is Kimi.
Exactly! This is David's year, and next year belongs to Kimi!👍
Elizabeth Hughes said:Hakkinen beat Schumacher once because he was genuinely the superior driver, and another time simply because Schumacher broke his leg halfway through the season. Regardless, props to Hakkinen for both those titles...
YEAH, major respect to him, or however you say "Hats off to him!"👍
Elizabeth Hughes said:Just so you know, Ferrari offered Schumacher a contract last season and even for after his Formula 1 career ends... basically, when Schumacher hangs up the helmet, there's probably a management spot waiting for him in the team...
Poor Ferrari! 🙏

Given how things wrapped up, any movie tackling this kind of subject matter absolutely blows foreigners away... To me, this remake feels like a solid attempt to frame the region as a total powder keg. History has a nasty habit of repeating itself around here, and I found the foreign perspective in the film—that outsider looking in at Canada and the Canadian people—really fascinating... haha, if only we had actually reached that level of self-awareness ourselves. Seeing such a raw depiction was honestly just a heavy reminder of everything... nothing more than that. Cheers!*
Of course movies mess with your head. In my opinion, we watch them because we’re looking for an escape—we want to step into someone else's shoes and experience those wild, out-of-the-ordinary situations we'd never face in real life. Every time the credits roll, we carry a little piece of that magic with us. Sometimes, that pull is so strong you almost want to trade your actual reality for the one on the screen just to get lost in it for a while.🙂
Thanks so much for such a beautiful response. I truly believe that love is the hardest road you can take. But at the end of the day, it’s the only one worth walking. It demands everything from you—so much sacrifice—but the payoff is just as massive. Even if we lose our way or find ourselves drifting away from the shore, we can always find our way back; that ebb and flow is just part of the journey. There are those moments, too, where you feel a deep, soulful pull—those late-night reflections that hit you out of nowhere. You just have to accept them, leave them in the rearview mirror, and keep moving forward on your own path.
We all find our sense of wholeness and purpose through love. Until it truly awakens within us, peace and happiness remain out of reach. When we start believing we’re somehow different from one another because of our beliefs or even the color of our skin... Or when someone assumes their faith holds more weight than anyone else's, it just shows they haven't actually grasped the truth of love yet. It means they haven't realized that we are all part of the same current—one single river of love.
It really all boils down to the specific issues you're dealing with You’ve got to find the right person—an expert who actually "gets" you. And honestly? That's easier said than done. Finding a psychiatrist who clicks with you can be a nightmare; sometimes a psychologist is a much better bet. And look, maybe there's a third option here... maybe this is something you need to work through on your own.🙂
