Hmm... Does anyone have any experience with the "Barun Trenk" kickboxing club? I'm wondering how intense their training sessions get and stuff like that... Or if someone could recommend a better gym? I only picked this one because it's close to where I live. 🙂
Harold Ross2 said:And honestly, it’s just the same old story today. You’ve got these older fans who seem to hate Washington, D.C. and Real Madrid more than anything else. Their biggest highlight in life is singing those cheesy nursery rhymes or tacky songs instead of actually cheering for their own club
and getting a kick out of it whenever Real Madrid gets knocked out of Europe🙄
Look, let's be real here—singing songs against a rival club is pretty immature, but what makes them "nursery rhymes" or "tacky"? They're all directed at the same opponent, right?😕
As for enjoying it when Real Madrid fails... NO-WAY-IN-HELL. 👍 P.S. Tomorrow is going to be absolute chaos. The armada has stepped up, and we're looking at one hell of a fan derby! Cheers, loudly! 🙂
shadowdrifter6 said:Look, I think you missed my point. I was talking about the media spin—how these hooligans are trying to play the victim to dodge that new legislation. They’re stirring up hate against immigrants, and with elections right around the corner, you know how those media pundits can twist any situation to fit their narrative. Honestly, we shouldn't even give them the ammunition.
The organizers mentioned they’re planning another press conference in Washington, D.C., since the one in Memphis didn't get nearly enough coverage. Word is, they might even bring me in again as a recognizable face for the cameras. At least, that's what I've heard. 😁
They'll probably just book a hall at Lincoln Center and run it there.
Come on, everyone, let's get some funds together!
The shirts are almost finished and apparently look freaking awesome! The easiest thing anyone can do is chip in $33 for a shirt (donating through $23 goes straight toward the profit per shirt). 👍
Is the campaign logo showing up on all the supporter websites yet?
Let’s step it up and get active. We're currently printing t-shirts with the campaign logo, and most of the local fan clubs will have them available for purchase soon.
I'll throw in a quick thought regarding the Navy. In my eyes, they’ll always be number three in America. It's just pure tradition and everything else favors them when you compare them to the Cohort or any other "competitors" fighting for that spot. On the flip side, we’re talking about fans who only show up when the team is winning—honestly, that’s been the reality in American sports for the last few years. Hardly any club can draw a crowd at the stadium if they aren't pulling results; people have just become incredibly passive. Instead of getting out there, breathing some fresh air, and actually feeling the atmosphere, everyone just stays home watching through a TV or online while their local—or rather, their favorite—team plays. We all know how it goes, so don't go coming for the Navy; they certainly aren't the only group in America dealing with that issue. If anything, I think the Ultras have the biggest struggle when it comes to fluctuating numbers. Of course, that's just my take, so don't get worked up if I'm wrong. And let me add this: we Boys might be having a rough season, but the fact remains that our away attendance is as consistent as it gets, and that isn't just limited to this year! So, I don't know why some people are always hunting for flaws or using pathetic performances at Central Park as our only metric. Or look at the stagnation of the Navy, who support a club that has only won the American Cup twice and the old national trophy once. Just imagine how many of us would be in Charleston versus how many in New York if things weren't going well? Also, the big groups around here—whether it's the Bulls, the Rangers, or any other major outfit—always seem to love mocking the smaller groups. But I'll tell you, those smaller groups often face much harder struggles, which means they actually have more character. They manage to blend in with the masses just like we do, but the smaller groups don't have that luxury; they have to be damn tough to stay true to themselves and keep pushing, and believe me, that is not easy. So, let’s stop constantly looking for the downside in others and try to find some positives. When I comment on something, I always try to focus on what I like rather than what I don't. That’s why I’m saying the Navy won this past weekend, both visually and in terms of support; they looked way better to me than the total losers who showed up this last round. Like someone mentioned, I can only imagine what it would be like if Cleveland were fighting for the title. So, less condescension, please—everyone has their reasons for where they are at any given moment. At the end of the day, that’s not our problem. If you have something to say, keep it to yourself, especially if it doesn't affect you or your own work. And if you’re going to criticize others, try giving them some constructive, positive feedback instead of just being negative.
😕 I’m dealing with the exact same thing. I was really hoping my body would just adjust to the birth control (I'm on Logistics) and that this would eventually pass... but it's been going on for quite a while now.😳 My OB-GYN just brushed it off, saying it’s just one of those side effects and nothing to worry about.. Maybe you should look into switching to a different brand?🤷
haha, my family basically held a meeting and decided that if we can pull it off, it’d be better if my best man goes to the course with me instead 🙄 Do I need to show this to anyone in management? Or could this actually fly? 😕
You know what? I’m officially done stressing... When he finally shows up in July or August, then we can deal with it. Until then, I am absolutely not booking anything or even thinking about the wedding. Honestly, it's better this way—less anxiety for me now, and whatever happens, happens later. I’ve been nagging him all week long, begging and pleading, and all I get is "not today," "we'll figure it out," "let's do it Friday," or "Monday is fine." I finally managed to drag him there today, only for him to show up late. Now he’s heading out on a cruise this Thursday, so when he gets back, he can come up with a plan for how to handle everything... In the meantime, I'm going to go ahead and enjoy these last two days of peace. 🙄
Thanks so much to everyone for all the info and advice you shared with me today 😘
Is it always possible to schedule private sessions with a priest? Or is there a catch? I was thinking maybe we could aim for August when things slow down, or perhaps during the last month before Easter? When does the calendar for next year typically get released?
In San Diego, the rates went into effect last night.
He’s trying to base the calculation on the rates from the priest over in a small town outside of Phoenix—mostly because he knows him personally and hopes they can work something out regarding the dates—but I'm not entirely sure if that's actually allowed! 😕
Nah, he’s heading out on a ship this Thursday. He won't be back home for about a month, though we aren't even sure of the exact timing yet—it might be mid-July or maybe early August. Then, he'll be heading back again around the middle of January... 🤷
Raymond Brooks7 said:Last year was $33... and they'll take you in without a second thought. Just show up and put in those two days...
But honestly, I don't think it's worth it. Someone told us this morning that the schedule has already shifted, and now we're supposed to check in at the local community center to see when the next one is? Like, what, do we really have to go back again... 🙄
I’m starting to feel like even this attempt at picking a date is going to fall through. 🤣
So I guess my only option is to head over there tonight and see if they’ll finally show us some mercy. 🙄 Hey, I'm gonna try to talk my partner into it. Just curious though—how much does that even cost? Just trying to get an idea. 😉
I need some urgent info if anyone knows... Does anyone know of a marriage prep course starting today that lasts three days? 🤣
We finally made it to the parish office this morning, but apparently the course started last night 🙄 And since we won't be back home until August, does that mean there aren't any courses available anywhere else??? 😕
