I mean, we're basically approaching the end of his protege's career soon—somewhere around that summer of 2019 in sunny Los Angeles

I have no idea who was responsible for the script or the jokes, but honestly, it felt so subpar it was almost painful to watch. And don't even get me started on that Freddie Mercury joke. 🤦🙄

I totally missed that—what happened?🤔

Personally, I thought that Jim Carrey bit was pretty funny.

mellowtiger83 said:Sebastian Vettel was the world champion back in 2018, I am absolutely certain of that after seeing how Ferrari performed, and whatever!! The man earned it, bravo Ferrari!!!, bravo Vettel!!

Bravo Simon Cowell!!!

mellowtiger83 said:Tomorrow, we get a glimpse of the marvel from Maranello, alongside whatever magic Mercedes has cooked up.

I’m feeling particularly optimistic about Ferrari, and you might ask why. It’s simple: the crew has perfectly aligned their wind tunnel simulations with reality, everything is clicking, and frankly, they pioneered the very tech everyone else is currently scrambling to copy.

I can't wait to see that red monster in action.

mellowtiger83 said:Sebastian Vettel is carrying enough fuel to power an ExxonMobil tanker, and he’s already stuck on 1.21s on the Mediums by lap 15. Come on, Seb.

mellowtiger83 said:Vettel 1.18.666 on the red tires under much harsher conditions than yesterday—track temps sitting at about 54 degrees Fahrenheit🙂

This is exactly my point. Ferrari clearly has the raw pace, they're just running their own specific agenda

Update 1.18.414🙂. The prophets are out in full force now, acting like this is some miracle, yet those hard compounds are actually performing better than when Ricciardo was out there yesterday with the asphalt at 54 degrees. What do you think, Tibac He He? Let's go, Seb, let's go

When you factor in all the variables—the rubber, the track state—this looks like a significantly better lap time

No, he's not a Ferrari fan...

Look, there's really nothing left to debate here—the rules are crystal clear. It turns out some folks just weren't up to speed on them, so they were basically just sitting there laughing at themselves... 🙂

I already laid out my reasoning regarding that contact between Max and Bottas—still waiting for someone to actually respond... honestly, it feels like nobody knows how to handle it when I'm clearly right.

If Max keeps this up, he’s going to be racking up penalties left and right—it's almost inevitable at this rate. And man, when that finally happens, Horner and Marko are going to have his head... honestly, it could end up being a total Kvyat situation.☕

We've heard this story a thousand times already—just more empty talk... once Honda nails that engine, Max is cruising straight to the title.

Go to 2:12 and tell me what Christian Horner said to Max over the radio...☕

And here's the transcript for you...

Verstappen suggested that cutting the first turn after Bottas made a half-hearted move earlier in the race was a factor in giving him the penalty. However, Whiting says that the two incidents were not related.

“They were unconnected,” said Whiting. “The "joker" as you put it was cutting the chicane, not actually gaining a place, but staying in front by virtue of cutting the chicane. Which is an advantage of sorts.

“We told the teams that we would normally give the driver one free one, unless of course let’s just say he cut the chicane the first time and gained five seconds and kept it, then we wouldn’t let him have that one. But this one he just stayed in front of Bottas. And you could in theory do that every lap and say I didn’t gain a position, but you stayed in front because you cut the chicane.”

mellowtiger83 said:Come on, promote how Max was closing in on Valtteri Bottas and mention how he touched his tire—completely unnecessary and dangerous!

🤦

I already answered you in that other thread, but I guess you were left speechless... Unnecessary? Look, Max had to defend himself—that's literally why he gets paid to drive. It wasn't dangerous because he didn't wreck him or spin him out. If he actually hit him hard, sure, a penalty would make sense. But Valtteri caught up, and instead of us watching a real battle, those idiots just ruined the whole race. You say you watch NASCAR, so tell me—do you actually see stuff like this happening there? This whole argument is just ridiculous...

Nicholas Newman2 said:Hold on, man—hasn't your whole mantra lately been that whenever anyone goes after Verstappen, the refs are just looking for an excuse to penalize him? So now that they actually *did* penalize Max, suddenly he's guilty? Is that how it works now!?

I'll say it again: I'm against officials sticking their noses into driver duels. Drivers should settle things on the track—that's what racing is about. When they scrutinize every tiny little thing and hand out penalties, they're just killing the sport. I don't know which genius decided we needed this level of micromanagement... honestly, damn them. The only time you need to step in is if someone truly screws up—like when Max hit Vettel in China. That's where the penalty belongs.
F1 Italian GP - Monza (Sept 2, 2018) in Formula 1 ·
mellowtiger83, what if that contact happened between Vettel and Hamilton while they were fighting for the win on the final lap? Would they have penalized Vettel and stripped him of the victory right there in the middle of the US Grand Prix in front of all those fans? Or better yet—imagine if that happened during the season finale where the championship was on the line, and then the stewards stepped in... you see how absurd that is. This is exactly why I’ve always said the officials shouldn't be meddling in pure racing duels. If someone is actually playing dirty, sure, but Max didn't do that—Bottas just kept pushing and caught up to him.
