COVID thread locked without explanation (again) in Feedback & Suggestions ·
It’s easy for you guys to sit there and joke around, I guess. I see how Mr. Smith turned out to be such a killer acquisition for the elite squad—just so sharp, and honestly, pretty damn efficient too. I just hope he got paid his fair share... I mean, he doesn't really need to show any proof of his diagnosis or whatever. 😬

They've been hunting for $2000 and some kind of medical excuse to justify why someone needs to be the moderator on the subreddit. I guess I'm still mulling it over.

Every month, I get this bill hitting my mailbox for about $867. Honestly, I don't even mind it... it's probably cheaper than seeing some private shrink in town.

Bradley White73 said:I've gone ahead and edited my post, so could you please quote this updated version? I'd really rather not deal with any penalties over this. I originally came here with one specific question, and I feel like that's been settled now.

Look, I’m gonna say it again—no matter how much some people might want it, we little guys just don't have the power to hand out partial quotes. And I'm definitely not editing the main post because I refuse to let some newbie plagiarist try to pin some kind of forgery accusation on me.

Anyway, I feel like I should share this totally irrelevant but hilarious moment with you all—as I'm sitting here typing this in the shade on my tablet, my loyal little Yorkie is being a total pest, begging for attention and practically climbing up my leg. He’s cute and all, but I swear I had to snap, "Get off my leg, you annoying, irritating little fuzzball." If you could see the look on his face—just this sweet, blankly stupid expression—you'd get why I felt the need to tell you about it. 🙂

Have a good one.

Bradley White73 said:I suppose it would be more appropriate, from a moderator's standpoint, to avoid belittling forum members—especially in such a sexist manner. Just for those curious: Unknown is basically just a modern version of that old derogatory nickname used by pro-Russian users years ago to insult people from the Caribbean, just so it wouldn't go unnoticed. I remember how things used to be back then, and I can personally vouch that the woman in question is anything but a snowflake.

edit
I've gone ahead and deleted some parts of my previous post, so please, let's not comment on them afterward.

As for the question that actually brought me to this thread in the first place, it's fine; I guess being ignored is also a type of answer, so I won't press the issue any further.

Look, colleague, it's honestly pathetic how you're hinting at things and indirectly insulting a female user.

I wasn't expecting much from you, honestly, but this is low even by your standards.

Shame on you.

Then people claim we are paranoid or obsessed with conspiracy theories. 🤣
As if I am some mindless sheep. I have taken four doses because I am just so incredibly progressive and enlightened. My shoulder is so loaded with shots that I might as well start taking them in the groin next. ☕

Let’s make a bet, driftingtinker. We meet for coffee. I will show you my medical records covering the last two years—vaccinations for polio, hepatitis, and so on, though certainly not for COVID. I will also present my COVID passes, which I keep printed, along with every single negative test result from the last 20 months. I travel frequently, so testing is a necessity regardless of vaccination status. If everything I say is true, you will leave this forum forever and never return.
If I am lying, I will pay you $1,000 in cash, fifty-dollar bills. I will publicly admit here that I am a liar and a fraud, and I will request that my profile be deleted so I never appear on this forum again.

Consider this a public challenge. I will cover the bill for dinner, drinks, or whatever else you desire. You can live large on my dime all night if you want. Let’s see how confident you actually are in your claims. You have an incredible opportunity to make easy money while proving that I am nothing more than a common fraud.

If you nonchalantly decline, you simply confirm my assertion: that you are talking nonsense without any basis in reality and that you are merely a spineless coward without a shred of conviction.

Looking forward to hearing from you. 🍿

I was just showing you how easy it is to plant a blatant lie in someone's head when they completely lose their grip on reality—which, honestly, seems to be the standard operating procedure for you and your whole crowd.

Kinda awkward when you run right into your own medicine, isn't it?

BTW, check out my new signature. I'm gonna be rocking it proudly for the next week because, I mean, it’s not every day you get addressed by such a pillar of morality and a true intellectual giant. 😉

BBTW. Congrats, you managed to knock Unknown off the pedestal for my favorite little snowflakes.

You’ve got that picture on "that" forum, showing that "respectable" little outburst that everyone greets with total awe and just assumes is pure perfection.
But you didn't realize that, did you?

I'm just sitting here waiting for further instructions because I can't exactly conjure up new lines out of thin air on my own—hurry up, boss! It's absolute chaos and pure panic over here!

Wait, did I actually post this publicly? I honestly thought I was on that private, deep-level sub-forum where we receive our instructions and... It’s all just one big, manufactured narrative designed to keep us spinning in circles while they pull the strings behind the scenes. And there's one more thing they’ve gone out of their way to crucify us for! Ugh.

Just wait for it...

Who can actually make sense of Giod? As I’ve already pointed out, even when his irony and sarcasm are at their absolute worst or most nonsensical, they still manage to be utterly infuriating. 😁

Just checked—it's a complete wasteland, the whole crew is hanging out here. 😁

The haters might conclude they actually prefer attention over free speech.

Casey Bennett said:I see Amy Rogers6 is back at it again, trying to explain everything in such sweeping, grand terms. Honestly, I’m just not in the mood. There is nothing more tedious than wading through endless walls of text when you have no idea what the actual point is going to be.
driftingtinker, give me the short version.

No problem at all, here you go:

New moderator Mr. Smith is on a power trip in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Amy Rogers6 said:Look, let me explain this one last time—because it clearly hasn't sunk in yet, so I might as well just draw you a diagram:

First off—the way you just went after one of the moderators isn't exactly "professional." It’s giving more "angry guy at a dive bar" than actual moderator vibes. Not a crime, obviously, just an observation.

Second thing—and this is the big one for you—you jumped right into the middle of an argument between me and Anderlon, using my own quote against me like... She completely missed the point of the discussion. To be more precise—Anderlon basically told me to my face that I’m not nearly as smart as I think I am. So, I gave him a taste of his own medicine by explaining that the situation is actually the exact opposite: I let him know, in a much more subtle way, that he isn't quite as brilliant as he imagines himself to be. Hopefully, that exchange of verbal jabs makes sense to you now.

What's even the problem here? It’s your trolling. Sidestepping the actual discussion just to hype up other irrelevant nonsense is textbook trolling according to the Reddit rules. Honestly, you should probably go read them—I definitely did, mostly because I was forced to after getting hit with a few warnings myself. Usually, that kind of thing gets you docked 25, 35, or 45 points, depending on which moderator you run into and how long you decide to be a nuisance...

Look, the real issue here is that you’re acting like a moderator but breaking the rules and trolling instead. Then, when you finally lose your cool because you don't want to answer a direct question, you just pivot and dodge the topic with those lame sentences.

Quote : Modesty b Do I really need to draw you a map to show you that you shouldn't give a damn who that mod is? It’s got nothing to do with you, and it's definitely not your business. As a user on this Reddit, just stick to the rules and mind your own business. Everything else is none of your concern.

I don't even know what that looks like, and honestly, I won't get too deep into it—but let me tell you one thing: Reddit is a business. These forums have owners, and usually, when there isn't any political drama going on, they live off clicks and ad revenue. They aren't making money by insulting users or preaching about "watching your mouth" and following rules that the moderators themselves break. That’s how they pay their salaries, too. You know that, right?

Everything you wrote, plus the whole reason why this is just pure trolling, can basically be boiled down to the core of this debate—and here it is:

Why is the forum owner breaking one of his own damn rules? You aren't allowed to post from your main account and a clone on the same thread. Usually, that’s an automatic death sentence—the clone gets a permanent ban, and the original account gets banned too. If you keep trying it, even the original account is headed for a permaban. Do you get the problem here? Pretty sure I just drew you a map. I'm certain everyone else sees it too—the users, the other mods, and yeah, even the owner himself.

Look, I don't have any say in who moderates a thread, and I definitely don't have any influence over how they handle things. I'm not even talking about that. I'm asking why one of the fundamental rules of this Reddit is being broken—and what exactly the goal is behind breaking it.

So, does this mean the owner and the mods can just do whatever they want while the regular users have to watch every single word? Are these the new rules of the game? Is this the "new normal"? Because if it is, it’d be pretty classy to actually write that down in the rules so anyone joining the Reddit knows exactly how the game is played...

P.S. Just like I don't have any say in who gets picked as a moderator, I honestly don't care if Anderlon handles the COVID subforum—actually, quite the opposite. I totally get it. This topic is heavy, times are incredibly intense right now, things are basically at a breaking point, and it only makes sense for the forum owner to roll up his sleeves and jump into moderation himself. Using his own handle to punish people on the forum whenever he decides they’re saying something he doesn't like? Honestly, wouldn't that be just great and totally fair!!!!!

Since everyone’s out here playing teacher today, I guess I’ll grab my crayons and join the fun: You can't even add the moderator to your ignore list. Just thought you should know.

So, I guess putting this new mod on that legendary list is just another one of those absolutely brilliant moves. Real genius stuff right there.

Casey Bennett said:Do you even grasp the concept that mods who aren't specifically assigned to a particular subreddit don't have the authority to delete posts within that sub?
It’s as if we can't even see what was deleted; let's go ahead and review the material once more.

Jessica Kelly4 said:Don't worry, ZgSash will get exactly what's coming to him. He'll get a taste of his own medicine, but he isn't deleting posts just because they don't align with Giod's politics. Because, get this—Giod only asks for decent debate. There are no set rules on opinions, and he isn't sliding into anyone's DMs.

You don't actually know his body of work or how he operates, yet you're all out here trashing this top-tier professor.

The school didn't have much going on with the testing protocols lately, and last time, they ended up leaving a week earlier than everyone else after some rapid tests flagged the principal and a couple of teachers.

Now, the obvious issue is that nobody is reaching out to them, and they aren't getting any actual guidance.
We've got students who tested positive today and haven't heard a peep from anyone by 2 PM, while two others have already come down with fevers. At this rate, I guess the class will just be showing up for morning classes on Monday like nothing happened.

They really could have just notified them yesterday that they shouldn't show up to school until everything was sorted out.

Junior year of high school, really. Just a handful of kids with older or sickly parents.

Update: My homeroom teacher just hit the group chat at 9:30 PM asking who actually got vaccinated because the school nurse is putting together a list.

What a total circus 🙂
