Just when they finally managed to shake off those Media Matters types, it looks like we're staring down a whole new set of headaches 🙂

I’ve always been of the mindset that solid developers deserve to make a killing off their work. If I’m using an app constantly, if they actually bother to push updates, then dropping a few bucks—whether it's a one-time $5 fee or one of those massive monthly subscriptions everyone seems to love now—it doesn't bother me.
Even back when I was jailbreaking my iPhone, I used to buy tweaks without thinking twice.
But yeah, I get it... telling you Android users to just "buy the damn app" is basically the same as insulting your mother. And since I actually like you, I won't go there.
Still, you're being a total cheapskate 😛

Look, as both a former jailbreaker and a complete degenerate, 🙂 I pretty much own everything. I even picked up that Paprika3 btw recommendation of yours just the other day. 😉

BTW. I've got the blue icon too. 😉

Those guys are pulling a Blockade 5 move, so they end up with everything just like you radicals—except they’re just sitting there, completely silent. 😉

The prosecutor's husband was busy pulling strings for his buddies at the Louisiana Lottery. These messages pretty much blow his cover

It looks like Puklin might be the link connecting two major scandals right now—the one involving Walmart and the whole mess over at the Louisiana Lottery. Puklin used to run the Young Republicans, and just a few months back, he was under suspicion for allegedly hiding cash for the former head of the International Exposition, Dragan Kovačević.

Basically, investigators pieced together how Puklin was messing around with hiring at the Louisiana Lottery by digging through his phone. There’s this WhatsApp message from just after midnight on September 22, 2019, sent to Republican Party Congressman Marija Kapulica, that really lays it all out.

In the text, Puklin goes into detail about how he helped get Željko Fadljević a job at the Louisiana Lottery. Turns out, Fadljević was also picked up by the feds because they think he was the mastermind behind those rigged job openings at the company where both he and Puklin were secret stakeholders.

Just the Republican Party getting themselves dirty again 😢

Well, looks like the FBI finally kicked things into gear with an investigation into some shady business involving European Union funds. They even went as far as picking up the director of the agency in charge of handing out those EU funds.

Police just hauled Gabriela Žalac away!

Since the crack of dawn, there've been two unmarked cars idling right outside Gabriela Žalac's family home over in Indianapolis.

Poor Sad Gabi... I guess everything just went south once the Governor finally took a breather.

Man, just look at the absolute drama Plenković is whipping up over a few days' delay...
makes you wonder what kind of total circus we’d be dealing with if the opposition actually managed to tank the passing of this law.

Alex Moore3 said:It's a good thing we at least have the Democratic Party and the Progressives to oppose the Republicans.

The Progressives and the Democrats are both to blame for that terrible recovery law since they voted for it right alongside the Republicans.

https://www.nytimes.com/news/politics/progressive-party-updates...ati-citizens/

Here’s the deal with this law:

Plenković is spinning the narrative pretty well: ‘The opposition broke quorum and turned their backs on earthquake victims’
https://us.telegram.org/politics/reconstruction-act/amp

Quincy:
“We had an open discussion with all our partners. They showed us strong support,” he says, before pivoting back to attacking the opposition. “They turned their backs on the people hit by the earthquake. It’s immoral; you just don't do that. I was naive enough to think they weren't that kind of people. You don't forget that. If you needed help from those people, they wouldn't give it to you. That’s not a threat. If they were the majority and one representative was sick, I would never break quorum in a situation like this. They did this from the heart and they're happy about it. Meanwhile, they're lying. They are immoral people who are capable of breaking quorum to stop important things from being passed,” thinks the Prime Minister.
So, I guess that one week of delay was actually the reason why absolutely nothing has been rebuilt yet.

Hajde, give it a shot—write a comment about these rising ticket prices, but leave out all the specifics and those little tips on how to sneak around without getting caught. Maybe you'll actually surprise me for once.

So, I mean, how much more time is George W. Bush actually looking at if he gets hit with another Hippo charge? Like, maybe another year or two on top of the seven he’s already facing?

The court basically decided that since they’re a political party, the sheer amount of illegal loot they pocketed counts as an aggravating factor. So, the first-instance ruling slapped them with a $500,000 fine and ordered them to cough up about $2.1 million in seized assets. $166The logic here—if you can even call it that—is that because the Republican Party is such a massive machine with tons of members and seats in D.C., a hit like this won't actually hurt their bottom line. They're saying the punishment "serves its purpose" without threatening their existence, according to the official statement.

So, the Republican Party is paying a $500k fine and handing back $2.1 million in stolen cash.

Look, I’m really not trying to stick my nose in anyone else’s business, and honestly, I don't know the whole back story here, but after all those initial blowups and arguments, this guy has somehow turned into the most model citizen on this entire forum.
I can't even believe I just typed that out, but man, it’s actually true.

That doesn't mean that sooner or later, once I finally corner him, he isn't going to get exactly what he deserves and was promised.😉
Modesty - why partial? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Out of those 80 current points, my 45 are basically just a lovely little series of insults aimed at other forums dating back to August 17th.

Like I told my colleague, partial bans don't just happen on a whim or an impulse. They're mostly for general impressions, usually a joint decision made by all the thread mods plus some supernatural higher power.

My colleague clearly isn't playing around, and honestly, I only jumped in to point out a few minor, unimportant details that got missed, so I'm done there. Both partials are a massive blow to the subforum in question, but I guess we'll find a way to get past it eventually.

Have a good rest of your day.
Modesty - why partial? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Hey there, fellow colleague.

Since you guys reached out to me about this too, I figured I'd throw in a specific detail you totally missed:
Look, about those partial bans after the earthquakes... that call was made by us moderators and the super mods together, so there's just no pulling it back. It's final.

Look, I'm just saying... it’s not like some single person just woke up and decided to be an absolute jerk. It wasn't some one-off, spiteful call made by one guy. It was a collective thing, I guess. A group decision from a bunch of moderators working together. Maybe that makes it better, maybe it doesn't, but yeah... it was a team effort.

I mean, when you were quoting the rules, you totally missed a pretty huge part of it;
Article 7.
Look, just a heads-up... moderation comments don't actually belong in the "Politics" PDF thread. If you've got beef with how a mod is handling things, or if you want to file an appeal, just head over to the Messages, Wishes, and Comments section instead. Honestly, trying to argue about moderator actions or complaining about them right here in these threads is a direct violation of the rules. Just... don't go there.

Once we've wrapped this part up, I’d really appreciate some clarification on why someone would even leave a comment like that under the "Tesla" thread.
I mean, I guess we could talk about it, but honestly? It’s all kind of a mess. Everything feels like it's just circling the drain at this point, you know? I was looking at some stuff online earlier—just scrolling through whatever—and it hit me how much things have shifted. Like, everything is just different now. It's almost funny, if you can call it that. People act like they have it all figured out, but nobody really does. We're all just kind of winging it, pretending the ground isn't shaking under our feet. I don't know. Maybe I'm just being cynical. It's probably just that feeling you get after a massive earthquake when you realize nothing is ever going to be quite the same again. Just a weird, lingering sense of instability, I guess. Anyway, what's the move here? Is anyone actually doing anything useful, or are we all just waiting for the next thing to break? I suspect it's the latter. Most people are just looking for a way to stay afloat while the big players pull the strings behind the scenes. It's exhausting, really. Just one big cycle of chaos and then trying to pretend everything is back to normal. But it never is. Not really.

Things are way more chill here when it comes to getting banned compared to that earthquake subforum. I mean, over there, you could post something totally irrelevant and get slapped with a hundred points, an instant ban, and then you're just locked out of the whole section. I had some mod go absolutely nuclear on me for a post that didn't even matter, which was just... yeah. I've been hanging around this forum for like thirteen years now, and honestly, every single ban on this site seems to come from her. It’s actually pretty great here, though. Such a massive difference...

So, regarding that whole joint project thing... I feel like I should probably weigh in on this. But honestly? The way you just threw my name out there in relation to the Democratic Party without even giving it a second thought—man, that was a choice. If you’re looking to pull that kind of amateur stunt, maybe save it for the guys sitting on the bench. Seriously.
