Casilda moderates the Eurovision subforum

Man, I have zero clue what you're talking about with that shampoo comment?!
Casilda, what's the problem? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I’ve got 327 posts on the Eurovision theme over at HBO:

Zero warnings. So I’m sitting here wondering—what’s the deal? If my posts are perfectly fine for HBO, why suddenly aren't they good enough for the PDF Eurovision thread?!
Casilda, what's the problem? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Can someone please stop splitting everything up on the PDF Eurovision? I started this whole thread myself and I currently have zero posts on it, so it’s kind of a mess. I want all the sub-sections—like Series and Hidden—to stay organized exactly where they are, but I need the main PDF TV root folder to be open and accessible.

Thanks in advance

Why did you group all these countries together into one topic?

Because they're tiny, plus we almost never hear anything about them.
Look, Ridley Scott isn't exactly spilling all the tea about this sequel to that legendary flick everyone's been waiting on for years. From what the US media outlets are saying, the whole thing is supposed to go down about twenty years after the events of the original movie.
So turns out jadetrucker43 is actually into 80s music too
This tiny little place, San Marino, is heading to the polls this Sunday to decide if they’re finally going to allow abortion in their mostly Catholic nation.

Pro-choice activists are basically hoping they can bring this scenic republic, tucked away in the mountains of central Italy, more in line with the rest of Europe by scrapping their total ban on the procedure. But man, the Catholic Church holds a massive amount of sway there, and Pope Francis just doubled down last week calling abortion murder.

Along with places like Malta, Andorra, and Vatican City, San Marino is one of the last holdouts in Europe where abortion is completely illegal—even if it's due to rape, incest, fetal abnormalities, or if the mother's life is at risk. This whole referendum was kicked off by the Women's Union of San Marino (UDS), and about 35,411 people have a say, though a third of them actually live abroad.

If they legalize it, it would be a massive shift for San Marino, since the ban has been around since 1865. It was reinforced by the fascist regime in the early 20th century and then locked back in again in 1974.

Data from Italy shows that not many women from San Marino are actually crossing the border to get the procedure done.

even the Lawyer guy (who's totally right) shows "500 posts" and not a single one actually shows up!!

I'm really not sure why Doduse is even allowed to post here, but hey, I guess they’re being pretty liberal over there 😳

just like how some random person gets stuck moderating Alternative Health or whatever else falls under the alternative umbrella

silverpuma61 said:Is it even worth mentioning that the site admins actually have the right to do that?

It was explicitly stated and explained that moderators have the discretionary power to go back and dig through old posts—not just from yesterday or last week, but indefinitely—to slap you with a penalty for something you wrote a year ago, claiming they somehow "missed" it.

Pure class, isn't it? 🤣

The US Government is probably going to adopt you as their official subreddit. 😍

That’s not true, I think they can only go back a maximum of 15 days.

That’s exactly the point: nobody actually enjoys wearing a mask. People have complied simply because they’re rational and understand how rules work, but that doesn't mean they actually like it.

I find it absolutely hilarious how the anti-mask crowd acts like they’re some kind of special, delicate little flowers just because they feel more comfortable without one.

just go buy a new bra then 😉

Obviously, a child's age has nothing to do with the legal requirement to attend Elementary School. By your logic, every single student repeating a grade would be kicked out of school the second they turned 15.

EVERYONE who turns 15 loses their right to attend Elementary School

In that group, it's mostly usually Rom

But if you thought you sounded like some frustrated professor, well, you definitely did.

I'm far from frustrated. Just a little tired.

It’s all laid out on paper, but good luck actually making it work in the real world.

Nah, if a student is stuck at home, I'm the one grabbing the stuff we did in class myself. I'm done having the teacher play secretary and printing out materials for me. If you aren't there, you deal with it. That's just how it works at my local high school.

Even so, I graduated with top marks, went through various schools and universities, and I don't feel even remotely deprived in terms of general knowledge. Quite the opposite, actually.
So yes, allow me to suggest that cramming massive amounts of material into students and constantly testing them on such an overwhelming curriculum is, indeed, exploitation—especially for those younger kids in Elementary School.
In our local school district, children aren't usually suffering from trauma caused by the Corona pandemic; rather, they are traumatized by this "school for life" concept, the latest invention of our educational system.
They are constantly falling ill, vomiting, and so on.
The teachers claim it's just a virus.
The parents say it's school-induced stress and an overly demanding curriculum.

Oh, there are solutions, believe me. But I won't go too far off-topic; there's no point in rambling here.

Overloaded? Don't make me laugh; the curriculum is so watered down it's actually embarrassing.

amberrider said:What I find even more tragic is how certain schools are forcing masks on younger students—kids whom the Department of Education was generous enough to exempt. Yet, parents follow along blindly.

In Canada, they’ve got first graders wearing masks constantly, swapping them out every single hour—meaning those kids are burning through four or five masks just to get through a school day.

So yeah, maybe just keep it quiet.

I guess he was lucky enough to have those decent performances before starting elementary school, which might just be enough to keep him on track for the entire school year, maybe.🙂

Basically, this means his kid will have to take retake exams for every single subject. If he fails just one—boom—he fails the whole grade. Let's see if he still acts like a tough guy then.

And even if he somehow scrapes by and enrolls in high school, the principal is probably just gonna tell him that high school isn't mandatory and show him the door.
