Kyle Flores32 said:😂 😂 😂 honestly, that was the best part for me too—it's why I even sat through it, since they played those scenes during the trailers on TV... but the movie itself? Total dud. If I remember right, there definitely wasn't a happy Endo.

nah, there was definitely a happy end

It feels like someone capable of hijacking credit and snatching a Nobel Prize is certainly capable of harboring racism too.

But she passed away from cancer and didn't get the Nobel.

Even James Watson (the guy who discovered the structure of DNA) actually claimed that "Black people are a lower race and I'm going to prove it"

Alex Roberts4 said:Honestly, just plain dim. It's tragic. And look, I won't even get started on the whole mask thing... I wouldn't dream of making my eight-year-old kid wear one. No thanks.

Nah, that was sarcasm. Obviously Canadians are smarter than us.

You just explain things to kids—depending on how old they are, obviously—about why they need a mask, and that’s it. No one complains when they realize it's for their own safety.

Alex Roberts4, you're still just acting like you know everything.

Alex Roberts4 said:Mine did the same thing last year, coming home asking if he needed a mask. When I asked him why, he just said they told them they could wear one if they wanted to. So I told him, "Look, little kids don't need to be wearing masks because of this and that," and told him to pass my regards along to his teacher. Most of the other parents followed suit. Honestly, it feels like rock bottom when you try to push stuff like that through using children as pawns. It’s no wonder there aren't these kinds of mandates for the younger kids.

EDIT: And then those kids see the older students doing it, and suddenly they want in on the action too... what a mess...

It's wild how in Canada, kids are wearing masks starting in first grade.

Clearly, Canadians are just a bunch of idiots compared to us. 🤦🤦🤦

Yeah, tell that to Milanović. The Supreme Court already ruled everything is totally legal and constitutional

Translation: basically, screw you

casualotter21 said:The movie was alright, I guess, but it wasn't exactly edge-of-your-seat material. If it had come out about ten years ago, I might have actually found it interesting, but my first thought watching it was just, "Pffft, they're trying too hard to act like it's File X." Seriously: conspiracy theories, paranoia, intelligence agencies, mysterious abductions... the whole bit. Using the perspective of a mother searching for her missing child is a solid concept, but overall, I wasn't particularly impressed. Ebiga.

Just saw this on TV and wanted to jump on here to say this is basically just an unreleased episode of Dosje X.

We don't do the whole switching rooms thing around here either

Solid idea, thanks 👍

If I need to find something, I just throw it into Google

Like, say, "Empire State Building + Reddit"

And 95% of the time, it hits exactly what I'm looking for. Honestly, I think that's way more efficient than messing around with tags.

then you can't blame the school—it's on the Department.

Sent from my JNY-LX1 using Reddit

School is out for two whole months and then parents are just left hanging with nowhere to take their kids. It's like they assume nobody has children from June through August. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Same thing happens here

Don't mess with me, because parents would be blowing up our phones if they thought they were supposed to just cut their vacations short to go grab some textbooks.

School starts back up this Monday, so here’s the lowdown on everything happening. Looks like Fuchs had a change of heart regarding those COVID-19 certificates

Most of them are just gonna follow whatever the Department of Education tells them to do.

Basically, he just got totally owned, because just a few hours earlier he was insisting they'd definitely be required.

nimblelynx7 said:There's no harm done. These exam grades don't even go into the official record, and they have zero impact on high school admissions. I honestly don't see what the stress is for the students.

The teachers, however, might find it incredibly stressful. It could expose a total lack of actual knowledge. And of course, they'll blame Corona, a Cancer moon, kids who refuse to study, or—even worse—the parents.

There isn't one now, but there will be later.

And besides, whose fault is it that you only need a 25% to pass the math section of the SAT?
