Melissa Castillo said:You guys chased off JP Morgan, Lastan, and E17—guys who actually contributed something through their constant arguing—yet you’re still letting this spam machine Larry Walker24 run wild here?!
It's pointless even giving examples because basically every single thread he starts is a blatant violation of the rules, but his constant fighting with Tyndall is enough,
Here’s the latest one:
As if she doesn't know how to just Google Wikipedia.
Can someone please explain what he actually brings to the table?
Obviously nobody knows, since he just dropped a Wikipedia answer to a stupid question!
Daniel Ward87 said:There’s also an Offtopic/Spam option where you gotta cough up 10 points for every single copy-paste post. Honestly, if someone just drops a link without adding their own take or any actual commentary, it’s straight-up spam. I mean, people joining this Reddit are more than capable of looking up info on their own without having it spoon-fed to them. Over on the Politics sub, those kinds of lazy posts are a total violation of the rules, and if you ask me, they’re breaking the spirit of the whole community here, too.
Like Tim said before, you really need to step up the quality of your posts. If you don't, the mods might just start nuking every single one of them once they get fed up. And if this keeps happening? A partial ban is definitely on the table next.
I’ve no clue what happened, honestly. I didn't touch any of the ad settings, but the forum is flying right now—it feels just as fast as when I'm scrolling at 2 AM!
Whatever the admins pulled off, it actually works.
Donna Johnson16 said:What the hell am I supposed to do to make Safari on my iPad actually go faster? And why does it fly like lightning at night? If it’s an ad issue, the ads are the exact same during the day as they are at night.
It’s a server issue. During the day, this forum is absolutely slammed with people, but once it gets late, it’s basically a ghost town. No crowd, no traffic, so obviously the speed is killer at night.

Just go talk to the director of the nursing home already!!!!
It’s pretty damn obvious the issue is with the server! During the day when everyone is online, the forum just refuses to load. Once it hits midnight and the crowd thins out, everything runs perfectly fine!
Alex Walker8 said:Seriously, can all 1,500 you forum dwellers and 5,000 active users just bail for like 15 minutes? I’m just trying to surf the web in peace here.
rustyraven4 said:Look, my roommate just caught the mumps. Since it's finals week and everything is slammed, I'm stuck sharing a tiny dorm room with him and have nowhere else to go. I got vaccinated when I was a kid, but is there any chance I could still catch it even with the shot? I didn't actually get sick back then, so I'm not sure how much protection I really have. Any advice? This room is literally the only place I can crash and try to get some sleep before my exams.
She needs to head to the ER right now!
Catching this stuff as an adult is seriously dangerous.
The ones I still follow are: Nica, Vojky, Deedy, Lady D, and Katrin. And honestly, I miss those old Powerlock regulars—it’s a shame they don't post much anymore.
Also, most of the mods over on the politics board are actually pretty decent!

As far as I can tell, her only "crime" was comparing the viewership of Lowe's Choice to other shows or sports matchups. That kind of comparison isn't against the rules as far as I know, and from what I've seen, anything that actually looked like spam or trolling has already been wiped out...
fadedsailor932 said:...Larry Walker24, are you kidding me right now? 🤷 I personally deleted two of her posts from the election night thread, then scrolled through her last three pages of activity, and honestly, I didn't see any aggressive shilling for NBC News.
Oh great, look who's getting all worked up again! Fine, if you don't believe me, just check out the most-watched shows list here:
