Seriously, how long is this user Lydia going to get special treatment on the TV subforum just because every single damn post she makes is basically a commercial for ABC? I’m definitely not the only one fed up with this!

Either start charging her for the free promo or tell her to just shut up already!

wiredangler5 said:You're looking at this all wrong, ZK. If we had pre-decided everything, you wouldn't have even been given a chance to get back in. We wouldn't have offered you an out, period. That would've been way easier for us, right?
And yeah, DF was also down to give you another shot, just like the rest of the Reddit mods. When I asked if we should give you a break, everyone gave me the thumbs up. Honestly, I could've just not asked, and you'd still be out here hunting clones—which wouldn't have been a big deal since you never really stuck around long anyway, you remember that yourself.

You asked about reviewing your ban. You got your answer because I don't see anything in the posts I quoted that actually warrants a review. All I'm asking is that you stop going at other users with that same attitude. That's it. If you can't stick to that, then I'll have to issue a partial ban. It’s not some "pre-planned" move; it's just simple: I won't let people sit here and take your constant attacks.
If anyone actually wanted you gone from the site, you'd be gone already. I think even you remember the deal: one more slip-up with that tone and you lose access. You accepted that, making huge promises that you were gonna be on your best behavior. And look at you now. Based on our actual agreement, I could've kicked you out already. But nobody did.

Just be decent to people, that's the whole thing. Everything else is on you.

If History is losing traffic, it's because of those mindless one-liners you've been dropping all over threads where they don't belong. Looking at your posts in World Politics, I don't see any change there either; I can't even remember the last time I saw one of your constructive posts where you actually made a solid point or argued something clearly. Both History and World Politics need well-argued discussions to stay relevant. They don't need one-liners that usually have nothing to do with what's being talked about.

And judging by how much you insist on spamming one-liners in History, I find it hard to believe that sub isn't one of the most visited ones with its own dedicated audience keeping it alive. 😉 At any given moment, that sub has about 60-100 people online. That's more than plenty of other subreddits, so don't try to twist the facts just to suit your narrative.

Take care, Larry Walker24. 🙂

Look, wiredangler5, you're a real sweetheart. Why don't you go find me a single post in the politics thread that actually has nothing to do with the topic? 😉

Anyway, all the best to you too. 🙂🙂

I love history. The fact that my posts didn't get a response from you is a completely different story. 😉

ZK is stoked to let you know you aren't the only one who bombed that history midterm! Honestly, it’s no surprise that this sub is one of the dead zones on Reddit!

thanks

I just hope "before you know it" doesn't mean another twelve months

I've been working part-time as a history teacher for two years now.

Alright, I’m throwing my hat in the ring too—someone please get me out of this partial failure in History! Thanks.

I really want to swap out my avatar, but I can't find anything with the right dimensions. Anyone got any leads on where to grab a tiny one?

from what I can tell, this is just a temporary glitch and things will get sorted out soon enough

Bottom right?

Now I have to scroll all the way back up through every single post just to find the link for Reddit.

There used to be a similar button down in the corner on every thread before.

wiredangler5 said:Larry Walker24, you're still on thin ice regarding the PDF History stuff. Look, I'm asking you to drop it. You got flagged because you kept pushing this exact same question everywhere on this board, even after people complained. That mark against your record is gone now, so let's just move on and stop dragging this drama through every single thread on this subforum.

fine

Not trying to start a whole new thread here, but can wiredangler5 actually strip my partial credit for history after two years?

Catch this on NBC this Thursday around 9 PM, a new
Documentary series

September 22nd - THE DISSOLUTION OF THE SOVIET UNION
The first episode dives into what was happening in Stalingrad just before those communist regimes started collapsing across Europe in the early nineties. While most of the world thought things were finally looking up, everything in Stalingrad was actually being rigged for annexation under the Greater Germany project. This series drags you right into the start of that bloody war...

September 29th - UNARMED UNITS
The second episode covers the stretch from March to May 2nd, 1991: the unarmed units, the multi-party elections, and how all that played out in the city, including the chaos in Smalltown, USA and the local radio station.

* * *

This whole series is basically Band of Brothers, focusing on the biggest battle of the war. We follow the heavy losses in Stalingrad through ten documentary episodes. It shows the resistance that eventually broke the back of the combined paramilitary forces and the US Army that were all ganging up to attack America in '91.

There are over a hundred people interviewed in this thing, and a lot of them were actual defenders of Stalingrad. You see how the fate of the city is totally tied to the fate of America and its soldiers.

They filmed this back in 2010 and 2011, working closely with plenty of Stalingrad veterans and big names from the social and political scene at the time. They’ve used reenactments, CGI, and tons of old archival footage to tell the story.
